COURSE GUIDE

About the Course

Welcome to our class Mechanics of Deformable Bodies.

This subject is a professional course subject under the design core subjects.
This is a continuation of engineering mechanics – static of rigid bodies which focuses
on the axial stress and strain; stresses for torsion and bending; combined stresses;
beam deflections; intermediate beams; and elastic instability.

Our class schedule is 10:00 – 12:00 TTh and 10:00 – 11:00 Fri. But, no face-
to-face class learning.

Study Tips
Here is your guide in studying this modules.

1. Read and analyse the content. Know the procedures and approaches in
solving stresses and axial forces.

2. Manage your time in dealing with this module. Don’t be in a hurry in reading
the content, the important thing is to know and understand the main idea.

3. Stick to your schedule. Its better to make a general study schedule for all
your subjects.

4. Take note of the deadlines of submissions. Announcement will be posted in

our class messenger account.

5. Keep the modules in good condition. To minimize cost, you can download
our modules from our messenger account or you can also request for a soft
copy to be sent via email.

6. In answering the activities, please bear in mind the procedure and formulas
reflected in the solution.

7. Always update your requirements, such as assignments and quizzes. Do

not wait others to submit. Use your time carefully or don’t waste time. Solve
immediately your requirements to avoid delay of giving grades.

8. If there are clarifications regarding the modules and the content, do not
hesitate to ask questions through our messenger group chat or my mobile
number 09178400365. Be sure to introduce yourself before asking
questions.
