CALCULATION OF HEAD LOSS ( HF ) AT PE PIPE

Using Hazen William Formula

Head Loss At ABS and PE Pipe Is Calculated With Hazen Williams Formula :

Hf = (((Q)/(0.2785 x C x (ID ^ 2.63))) ^ 1.852 ) x L

Where :
Q = Flow in Pipe ( M3/sec)
C = PE Coefficient of Roughness = ABS Coeff. Of Roghness = 150
ID = Inside Diameter of Pipe (Meter)
L = Pipe Length (Meter)

Calculation Process :
Fill in The Blank Box The Value of Parameters as Known :
1 Flow of Fluid (M3/sec) : 0.13
2 Inside Diameter (Meter) : 0.209
3 Length of Pipe (Meter) : 1000

4 Static Head (Meter) : 0

If Already, We Can Get The Value of Area, Velocity and Head Loss as Follows :

1 Area ( Meter 2 ) : 0.03

2 Velocity ( Meter / Sec ) : 3.79

3 Head Loss ( Meter ) : 46.61

4 Total Head ( Meter ) : 46.61

If The Parameters Are in CGF System, The Calculation Process Should Be :

1 Flow of Fluid (Litre/Sec) : 120

2 Inside Diameter ( MM ) : 209.2
3 Length of Pipe (Meter) : 1000
So, The Calculation Result of Area, Velocity and Head Loss Are :

1 Area ( Meter 2 ) : 0.03

2 Velocity ( Meter / Sec ) : 3.49
3 Head Loss ( Meter ) : 40.00
