Prof. Daniel Piñeiro President, World Heart Federation,
The purpose of present
letter is to strongly support the decision of Dr. Gabriel Tissera to apply to the Emerging Leaders program from your Federation. Gabriel is a young brilliant cardiologist from Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina, with avid interest in science and investigation. As part of his healthcare training, he did a Master´s degree in Echocardiography in University of La Plata. And he completed a course in peripheral Doppler in the Argentinian society of ultrasonography in medicine and biology (SAUMB). While Gabriel did his training developed several articles in hypertension and echocardiography and he was awarded with a prize for best poster for ISH New Investigator Committee (NIC) - Argentine Society of Hypertension (SAHA) Collaboration in 2016. In addition to that, he directed the commission of hypertension and cardiovascular prevention of the society of cardiology of Rosario in 2022 and he have been part of international initiatives, like GHATI (Global Heart Attack Treatment International). At this moment, he is the secretary of the society of cardiology of Rosario, and he is developing investigation in hypertensive patients and strain of the left atrium. In my opinion, Gabriel is going to benefit from your program given the fact that he shows interest in diverse topics in cardiology, with special focus on community health. Gabriel has great team player attitudes, and he has always shown great commitment to the assigned tasks. Furthermore, he shows a big creative capacity and frequently takes the initiative to develop new projects. Finally, I strongly support Gabriel as an great candidate for this incredible program that you have developed, and we believe this will result in notable growth for him, and in great benefits for his community.
