NARRATIVE REPORT ON THE CONDUCT OF SCHOOL -BASED LAC

April 28, 2023

School Learning Action Cell SLAC or School - Based LAC mainly purposes as
professional learning communities for teacher that will benefit them improve the learner
attainment. The Department of Education entirely supports the ongoing professional growth of
its teaching employees. In line with the implementation of Republic Act. No. 10533 or the
enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013, The Department of Education issues the enclosed policy
on the learning action cell as a K to 12 Basic Education Program School Based continuing
Professional Development strategy for the improvement of teaching and learning stated on
DO_s2016_035.

Daet Elementary School teachers attended the SLAC for the school year 2022-2023 last
Friday April 28, 2023 at Gabaldon Building.

The session started at exactly 8:00 o’clock in the morning with an opening prayer through
a powerpoint presentation. The singing of the Philippine National Anthem conducted by Mam
Loreta D. Goyena. Mam Romina S. lbita lead the attendance check. Mr. Sofio Rieza ,the school
principal shared some inspirational thoughts.

Right after the opening program , the first topic about Earthquake and Earthquake Drill
was discussed by Mr. Santiago M. Mella Jr. MDRRM LGU-Daet . He talked about managing
disaster risks, adapting to climate change and achieving comprehensive school safety.

In the afternoon session Mr. Joel Hontiveros, discussed about Google Sheet . He taught the
participants how to use spreadsheet editing, formatting, data visualization, chart creation and
offline editing. The participants acquired new and additional knowledge which will be great help
in their teaching and their profession.

The activity ended at exactly 5:00 in the afternoon. The Resource speakers received
certificates for their active involvement that leads to the success of the LAC.
