Class Assignment 4 (15%)

Select one of the following and answer within 6 pages of A4 paper.

1. In each of the Six Stages of Work of HKIA, explain the types and duties of
surveyors who may be most probably involved with the professional team.

2. Compare the HKIA Six Stages of Work of HKIA and the RIBA Plan of Work for
their pros and cons.

3. State the different roles of the Architect (Designer, client’s agent, coordinator
and contract administrator, if appropriate) in the HKIA 6 Stages of Work.

Illustrations can be added. Credit will be given for detail analysis, clarity of
presentation, your own view with good supportive reasons and fluent English
writing. Sources of reference should be cited.
