Using stencils for the first time can be tricky and needs some time getting used to, so itss never a bad idea to try using pencil first! Sometimes using a stencil can take away the beauty of that «doodles and free-hand look. In order to maintain an organic look, make sure to fill in the details. Add your own lettering, add shadows, color, doodles, etc. to make all the elements unique and different every time! Here are some mistakes you might run into and how to avoid them: TRdcing too fast ! Stencils are used for the purpose of fast and neat bujo spreads, but when you trace too fast its easy to make a lot of mistakes because your pen/pencil will slip or not stay in place, and yousre left with unwanted marks. This is an obvious one but the easiest way to avoid this, simply to take your time and itsll save you the trouble. Not holding your stencil still! Making sure your stencil stays in place the whole time while tracing is essential to make your Shapes and lines come out straight and neat. If you feel like yousre prone to moving your stencil around a lot, try using washi tape to keep your stencil in place.
