CAREERS DAY AT SANTO REINO HIGH SCHOOL

Introduction
The purpose of this report is to discuss about the careers day organised by the college to
help students prepare for work.As requested, this report will outline to what extent the event
was successful and I will give some recommendations for next year’s event.

Upsides of the day

First and foremost ,when it comes to how successful the event was, it goes without saying
that no matter where you were that you could easily find handy information about job
preparation, including some instructions to prepare and orientate students to whatever they
want to study.Besides that, the information given by some professionals on the speeches
were accurate obviously. Furthermore, workshops were outstandings due to the fact that
they came up with nice solutions regarding our students’ problems with their CV writing.

Problems of the activity

Regarding what downsides did I found, it must not be forgotten that seldom did they explain
where could you find the activities I mentioned, so it was quite challenging to find them, as
the place was huge. In addition, there is room for improvement regarding timetables just
because they were badly organised, as professionals had not got enough time to give their
speeches,which was so disappointing for many students.Hardly ever did they gave useful
information about job interviews in the workshops, as they did not talk about things such as
how our psychological state has to be when doing an interview,which is of paramount
importance.

Recommendations
Finally,were I to mention what would I change for next year’s careers day, I suggest trying to
bring up more activities about job interviews, organising role games to make our students
get familiarised with the pressure we have to handle at job interviews. Moreover, I would
include more interactive activities to make students enjoy more the experience.However, the
event was quite successful
