Abstract

Poultry farming faces the dispute of heat stress, which can influence growth

performance and productivity negatively. The approach of heat stress additives in

drinking water offers a potential solution for mitigating the negative effects of heat stress

on birds. This research proposal aims to investigate the effects of heat stress additives

on the growth performance of broiler chickens at the grower level. A total of 375-day old

unsexed Ross 308 chicks which will be obtain from the commercial hatchery and they

will be randomly distributed into three groups in which the will contain 3 replicates. The

groups will be randomly allocated to three treatments which they will offer Vitamin C

treatment 1, electrolytes as treatment 2 and Controlled group as treatment 3. All groups

they will offered a commercial grower feed diet and cool water from 21 st to 35th day. A

randomized complete block design will be used to equivalence the effects of dissimilar

types of heat stress additives on birds' weight gain, feed intake, feed conversion, water

intake, mortality. data analysis will be carried out using ANOVA to decide significant

differences between treatments. the study will be conducted according to ethical

guidelines for animal research.
