The development of self-driving cars is one of the most significant applications

of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in transportation. With technological advancement, it is
now possible to create intelligent machines capable of navigating roads and
highways safely, accurately, and efficiently.

To navigate roads and highways, self-driving cars use a combination of

sensors, cameras, and machine learning algorithms. AI systems can make decisions
on speed, direction, and obstacle avoidance based on real-time data from cameras
and sensors. To ensure safe and efficient operation, self-driving cars can use machine
learning to continuously adapt to changing traffic patterns, weather conditions, and
other variables.

Artificial intelligence technology has the potential to significantly reduce the

number of accidents caused by human error. According to the World Health
Organization (WHO), over 1.35 million people die and 50 million are injured in road

judgment, potentially making them much safer. Furthermore, self-driving cars have

relying on family or caregivers for transportation.
