CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION

1.1 Introduction
In recent years, there has been an increasing trend towards sustainable living and reducing
environmental impact. Consumers are becoming more conscious of the impact their
purchasing decisions have on the planet, and are actively seeking out environmentally
friendly alternatives. The Recondition Product Outlet is a response to this growing trend,
aiming to provide high-quality, refurbished products at affordable prices, while also
promoting sustainability by reducing waste and conserving resources.

The project involves establishing a business that specializes in the sale of refurbished or
reconditioned products, such as electronics, appliances, and furniture. The aim is to offer
consumers a cost-effective alternative to buying brand new products, while also providing a
sustainable solution that helps reduce the impact of consumerism on the environment. This
project has the potential to not only meet the growing demand for affordable and eco-friendly
products but also to contribute towards a more sustainable future.

1
1.2 Objective

The main objective of the Recondition Product Outlet is to establish a successful business
that specializes in the sale of refurbished or reconditioned products. Some of the specific
objectives of this project include:

 To offer a wide variety of reconditioned products, including electronics, appliances,

and more.

 To fulfill the need of consumers.

1.3 Problem on existing system

There are a number of existing problems with the system for reconditioning products and
selling them through outlets. Some of the most common problems include:

 Lack of standardization

 Lack of regulation

 Lack of trust

 Limited selection

 Negative stigma

These problems can make it difficult for consumers to find safe and reliable reconditioned
products, and they can put consumers at risk of financial loss.

CHAPTER 2: PROPOSED SYSTEM

2.1 Key Features

The Recondition Product Outlet website will include the following essential features:

 User-friendly interface: Intuitive and easy-to-navigate website design that enhances the user
experience for both buyers and sellers.

 Product listings: Sellers can create detailed listings for their reconditioned products, including
high-resolution images, descriptions, and pricing information.

 Search and filter options: Advanced search and filtering capabilities to help buyers find spe-
cific products based on categories, conditions, and other relevant criteria.

 Seller verification: Conduct thorough verification processes to ensure the credibility and relia-
bility of sellers, building trust among buyers.

2.2 Advantage of proposed System

The system will offer a number of benefits to consumers, including:

 Cost savings for consumers.

 Environmental sustainability through waste reduction.

 Wide variety of high-quality products.

3
2.3 Methodology

We follow the agile system development life cycle approach to complete this project. This
methodology proposes incremental and iterative to design the system. System phase is
organized in a linear order. To develop this project, we follow the stage of this approach.

2.4 System design

In this phase, we can design the general concept or flow of our system. The conceptual design
of this application is as shown below:

2.5 Modules of the system

This system consists of different modules with different functionalities. In each and every
module’s we can perform different activities such as create, read update and delete operation,
we also have enabled the searching of data in database through the various fields.

CHAPTER 3: ANALYSIS

3.1 Requirement analysis

We have gathered the entire requirement related with the field Recondition Product Outlet
system, we also studied the different types of reports available in various sources for the

7
requirement gathering, interpreting facts, diagnosing problems and the information which are
recommended for the improvement of the system.

We also analysed the system requirement which the system most fulfil, such as product
details, quality management, product reviews, product reviews etc.
3.2 Feasibility Study

Feasibility study is the measure of the development of a project weather it would be

beneficial to an organization or not. So, in this phase, we study economic feasibility,
technical feasibility, schedule feasibility and also about the legal feasibility.

3.2.1 Economic feasibility

In this study, we analyzed about the cost needed that has been needed to develop this project.

3.2.2 Technical Feasibility

The technical feasibility can be divided into two section-hardware and software. To decide
the technical feasibility. We use the software and hardware component as follow.

3.2.2.1 For Development

3.2.2.1.1 Hardware Required

 Computer or laptop
 RAM (Minimum 4 GB or Above Recommended)
 Hard-Disk (Minimum 128 GB or above)

3.2.3 Schedule Feasibility

The project schedule has been designed as per requirements and contains involved. This
project is schedule to be completed in about 3 months. In this feasibility

CHAPTER 4: CODING AND TESTING

4.1 Coding

To complete this project we are using a codeignitor framework of PHP. In this framework we
are going to use HTML for web view, CSS for designing and formatting, JavaScript for
validation and PHP for database connection, dynamic and interactive website.

4.2 Testing

 Black box testing: In this testing we will test whether it is performing and
functioning as we have designed or not. This test will be done by the developers of
our team and debug all the errors.
 White box testing: In the testing we will test the design is correct or not. Also test in
this test is whether is responding or not and also we will test the animation is working
or not.
