It all started because in the "Casa Matusita " there are many stories about macabre

events that happened inside that house. From this a legend has been born for

approximately 300 years. It is known that if someone entered that house, he would

become a crazy person or be chased by evil entities.

In the first place, one of the stories that originated all this is where a woman cured

diseases that were difficult for that time, many people called her a witch because she

practiced black magic and occultism, which was all a lie.

Later, the Holy Inquisition condemned her and imprisoned her until she accepted the

accusations made against her. She accepted the accusations and was tortured to

death and before she died, she cursed the house.

After this, many more stories were born like a Japanese family moved into that house

and the husband found his wife with her lover and he killed both, dismembered them

and spread them all over the house, in the afternoon he killed their own children and

then commit suicide. And so many stories are repeated where tragedies happened,

and no one came out of that situation alive.

At the end, this is a story of many that exist in “Casa Matusita” where the endings of

each story are very difficult to believe. The Casa Matusita is located at the intersection

of Garcilaso de la Vega and España avenues in the Cercado of Lima district. The

different legends that the people who have lived inside the place have passed from

generation to generation, where it is still believed that the Casa Matusita keeps old

spirits in the second floor area. Tourists are currently the most excited to see the

Matusita house, even youtubers have dared to spend a night inside it. Legend or

reality? Luckly this is still a legend.
