Scope

REQUIREMENTS

Power Supply; CR2032 battery.

Optimise BLE Master Tag for Energy Efficiency.

1. 12 months Battery service minimum.

- Master Tag simultaneously connect up to three BLE Slave Tags.
- Master BLE Tag should always power on scanning to connect to Slave Tag

Operation

1. Master Tag in Sleep Mode wakes up in very low power mode to scan for Slave BLE
Devices within range. Green LED Blink every 6 secs.

Char Value 0x00 / 0x01

2. When the targeted slave device is found,

the master
- Checks ID
- Connects and remains power on in Power Save Mode
- Checks the for (0x00) characteristic value.
- Connects when Device char value is 0x00
- Confirms security value
- Beep two times,
- Red LED Blink in 10 secs intervals.

3. When the connection is lost to the slave device and the (0x00) char value didn't change
to (0x01),
- The Master should buzz continuously

4. When slave device reconnects to the Master;

- Beep two times
- Master should stop buzzing.

5. Once the (0x00) char value changes to (0x01), the master device should;
- Beep one time
- Disconnect and Self-Low Sleep Mode.
Char Value 0x07

1. After the Master button is pressed for 3 seconds;

- Master send 0x03 command to all connected Slaves Devices
- Master check (0x07) characteristic value.
- When Master read char. value 0x07, Master will disconnect from all Slaves and self
power off.
- When Master does not read char value 0x07, Master shall continue the connection with
slaves.

Master Simultaneously Connect to Three Slaves Tags

1. Three slaves Tags may connected to master at the same time.

2. When one slave char. value is 0x01, master disconnect from that device, beep once and
remain connected to the other Slave device whose char value is 0x00.
3. Note: For the Self-Low Power Mode it would occur after all the connected devices are
set to 0x01.

Pairing Mode

1. Press Master Tag button for 10 seconds.

- Master Tag enters pairing mode for 10 seconds
- User places BLE Devices in close and Master in close proximity
- Master buzz with a unique audible tone.
- Master scans for 10 secs and stop

Battery Char Value

1. When master device detect battery level is less than 20%, after Master receive char
value read 0x01 from all Slave devices Master device shall long beep two times before
self power off.
