CHAPTER 1 THESIS WRITING
The margins on each sheet shall be not less than 40 mm on the left-hand side, 20 mm on the
right-hand side, 30 mm at the top and 20 mm at the bottom.
All pages except the title page should be numbered consistently as stated in the section on page
numbering.
TNR, 11pt, justified,
1.5 line spacing
Unless or otherwise specifically permitted by the supervisor, diagrams, charts, etc shall be
included, where possible with the text, otherwise they must be clearly referred in to the text,
numbered and folded for insertion in a pocket on the back cover of the thesis. All loose material
shall be marked with the candidate’s name, initials and level of submission, in such a way that it
can readily be linked with the project report or thesis. All loose material and any video tape,
audio tape or computer disk shall be inserted in a pocket in the back inside cover of the volume.
