When you want to use Milestone software, please get the Software License Code (SLC) first.

You must obtain a Device License Key (DLK) from Milestone for each device (IP network
camera or IP video server) to be installed.

After you received DLKs via e-mail, please import the DLKs into Milestone’s
Administrator tool

Adding a Device
Step 1: input the IP Address
1. Configure IP address, password, etc. for the ACTi device
2. Click the “Add Device…” button in the Administrator main window.
3. Enter device IP address, or select the Use DNS host names check box.
Click Next.

Step 3: add device successfully
1. When the device is detected, type the Device License Key (DLK) for the
device (if the DLKs have been imported, the field is pre-filled with the
correct DLK). Click Next.
2. Assign a descriptive name to the device, then click Finish.
3. The device is now installed successfully.

7. When you click on the Monitor on the desktop, you can see below
screen.

Now, you can use the joystick to control PTZ on Milestone Software. You must use a
USB joystick with an analog representation for the z-axis (slider or wheel).

Step 4: Select the IP Speed Dome
1. Double click Administrator on Desktop.
2. Choose the IP Speed Dome with PTZ function.
3. Then click on “General Settings”.

Step 5: Click on the “Joystick Setup”

Step 5: Configure Joystick
1. Make sure you select the “z-axis uses a relative positioning scheme” option
2. With this option on, you can operate zoom operation over USB joystick

Step 6: Use the Joystick to control PTZ:
1. Double click Monitor on Desktop.
2. Choose the IP Speed Dome has support PTZ function to preview.
3. Now, you can use the USB Joystick to control PTZ.

Step 3: For firmware version v2.0 series, switch to version 1.0 mode
1. Click on “Video Setting”
2. Select “Version V1.0” on Streaming Type
3. Click on “Save Reboot”
