THE MOON/S

SCIENCE PRESENTATION
By: Christine Mariano
INTRODUCTION
Hello Everyone,I am Christine
Loise T. Mariano, Today we will be
talking about The Moon/s.Did you
know that there is no air to
breathe on the Moon. The Moon
travels around the Earth in an
oval-shaped orbit. We always see
the same side of the Moon from
Earth. The distance of the Moon to
the Earth is 238,855 miles or
384,400 kilometers

Venus doesnt have any Moons at
all?? Because Mercury is so close
to the Sun and its gravity, it
wouldn't be able to hold on to its
own moon. Any moon would most
likely crash into Mercury or maybe
go into orbit around the Sun and
eventually get pulled into it.
Did you know that..
Earth has one Moon
Mars has two
Pluto has five
Neptune has fourteen
Uranus has twenty-seven
Saturn has eighty-three
And Jupiter has ninety-five

DID YOU KNOW

THAT... Earth's Moon is the fifth
largest of the 200+ moons
orbiting planets in our solar
system.
The Moon is slowly moving
away from Earth, getting
about an inch farther away
each year.
The Moon makes a complete
orbit around Earth in 27 Earth
days and rotates or spins at
that same rate, or in that
same amount of time. Because
Earth is moving as well –
rotating on its axis as it orbits
the Sun – from our
perspective, the Moon appears
to orbit us every 29 days.
