.1 Clarification: The first test and imaging shall be performed once the following building components have
been installed:

.1 All Doors and windows.

.2 Exterior siding – preferable but not required.

.3 Metal roofing along with insulation in attic space/s.

.4 Poly on interior walls prior to the installation of gypsum board. This will allow for the corrections
prior to finishing.

.5 Any rough-in vents/holes required for M&E systems should be plugged with material for initial

testing.

.2 Clarification: Thermal Imaging guidelines as follows:

.1 Images should be taken of various culprit locations (ie. Window / door installations / top and
bottom plates) etc. Thermal images should be taken during air-barrier testing while building is in
positive or negative pressure for best visual results. Images are to be provided with each air tests
report for consultant and contractors review. Any obvious deficiencies are to be corrected prior
to installation of finishes. Once deficient areas are rectified, thermal images are to provided
varying the correction has been made.

.1 Clarification: “Once wall/stud cavities are filled full of dense-pack cellulose as specified, the contractor is
to confirm the removal of any major bulging with the use of an aluminum roller. This will assist in the
bulging of the finished gypsum-wallboard and failure of mechanical fasteners. The installation process
can be reviewed and confirmed by way of a mockup for the prime consultant’s review and approval
prior to execution of the entire installation.”
