    Install 1x8 radiata pine flush with roof plywood and 2x6 roof joists set 5/8 inches below to allow for drip edge nailing and load transfer to walls. Cut T-111 siding at an angle at the top to ensure flushness after installation. Adding 2x6 roof joists will allow downsizing the radiata pine boards to 1x8.
