Miniaus descent altitude (MDA) warning nay also be annunciated $f desired. Altitude alerting is provided with visual and aural warnings per FAR 91.51. The Visual warning Lamp is controlled by an automatic Light dimming circuit that provides suffictent intensity under all cockpit Lighting conditions. Enroute or approach vertical guidance to a specific altitude over an RNAV Waypoint say be easily set up and computed within the KVN 395. The computed Ynformation is displayed by means of a meter aovement in the right hand side of the Kei 310 Flight Director Indicator. Before coupling to “VNAV", the neter displays the ascending of descending flight path angle to the selected altitude at the waypoint. Once the “VNAV CPLD" pushbutton ts depressed, the flight path track angle fs stored and the meter shows deviation from this path. The VNAV nay be coupled to the flight director and the autopilot, and sutonatic altitude capture may be perforaed as described above in preselecting altitudes. & Gistance bias knob is also provided on the KVN 395. It allows the pilot to Teach the selected altitude by as much as 30 miles before reaching the RNAV waypoint. 1.6.18.2 TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS SPECIFICATION CHARACTERISTIC size: 3.26 x 3.26 x 10.7 inches nominal (B.3 x B13 x 25.57 centineters) wercuT: 3.1 Lbs. Figure 4-17 provides the KSA 371, KSH 575 outline and mounting dimensions. Figure 4-18 provides the KSA S74/KH 275 outline and mounting instructions. The units are wired os shown on the applicable interconnect drawings. KSH 375 Capstan Torque Adjustment Page 2-2 (aench Test Kit KPN 050-1332-00 containing Clutch Plate 07106911099 and Spline Adapter 071-6010-00 1s required for this adjustaent.) A. Capstan torque settings are adjustable, and aust be set prior to installation. The fixture and tools required to perform these adjustments are indicated in Figure 6= B. Check the aircraft strapping section to determine the servo aount part number and setting required. Remove the six (6) screws and the dust cover from the servo capstan. Lift the slip clutch assembly out of the capstan pulley. (Refer to Figure 4-2, Page 4-2.) D. Mount the slip clutch in the clutch plate KPN 071-6011-00 and clasp the clutch plate in a bench vise. (Refer to Figure 4-2, Page 4-2.) ve the cotter key from the slip clutch adjust nut. Insert the spline Sdapter KEN O71-6010-00 into the stip clutch spline. (Refer to Figure 42s Page 6-2.) F. Using @ torque wrench (Snap-on TeP-25 FU or equivalent), check the clutch setting by rotating the torque wrench and reading the torque required to SUip the clutch in both clockuise and counterclockwise directions. MOTE THE TORQUE READING SHOULD BE REPEATED THREE (3) TIMES IN EACH DIRECTION AND THEN THE AVERAGE OF THE SIX (6) READINGS USED TO DETERMINE THE TRUE TORQUE READINGS. If the measured torque Js less then the desired value, rotate the clutch adjust nut clockwise (30° of nut rotation 12 approxisately 2.5 inches/Lbs on the 00 cluteh atseablies and & inch/lbs on the O1 clutch assemblies.) If the measured torque ig greater than the desired value, rotate the clutch adjust nut counterclockwise. After the nut is adjusted, repeat the torque test until the proper value is reached. I, Install the cotter key as shown in view 0 of Figure 4-2, Page 4-2.
