1. Examine the transaction data.

This includes checking for inconsistencies, missing data, outliers,

and incorrectly identified category items. If any anomalies are found, they should be corrected.

2. Examine the customer data. This includes checking for similar issues as in the transaction data,
as well as looking for null values. Once the data is clean, the two datasets should be merged.

3. Define the metrics for the analysis. This includes total sales, drivers of sales, and where the
highest sales are coming from. The data should be explored and charts and graphs should be
created to visualize the findings.

4. Deep dive into customer segments. This includes defining recommendations based on the
insights, determining which segments to target, and whether packet sizes are relevant. An
overall conclusion should be formed based on the analysis.

5. Save the analysis and visualizations. The CSV files and visualizations should be saved so that they
can be used in the report to Julia.

Here are some metrics that could be used to describe customer purchasing behavior:

 Total number of purchases. This metric can be used to see how often customers are buying
chips.

 Average purchase amount. This metric can be used to see how much money customers are
spending on chips each time they shop.

 Most popular brands. This metric can be used to see which brands of chips are the most popular
with customers.

 Most popular flavors. This metric can be used to see which flavors of chips are the most popular
with customers.

 Most popular pack sizes. This metric can be used to see which pack sizes of chips are the most
popular with customers.

These are just a few examples of metrics that could be used to describe customer purchasing behavior.
The specific metrics that are used will depend on the specific goals of the analysis.

Once the analysis is complete, the findings should be presented to Julia in a clear and concise way. The
presentation should include the key insights from the analysis, as well as any recommendations that
have been made. The presentation should be tailored to Julia's specific needs and interests.
