This is in response to the issue that the Basic Education of Lyceum-Northwestern University had made an announcement of resuming classes despite the pandemic, We would like to express the following: 1. The Basic Education did not make any pronouncement requiring our learners to come to school; in fact, the conduct of final examination has been foregone due to the Enhanced Community Quarantine; 2. To ensure the safety of our leamers, we decided to cancel the final exam and compute the final grades using our previous grades and likewise to follow the DepEd policy on computation of final grades. In addition, remaining requirements are to be submitted online using our Genyo Leaming Management System, and FB messenger, therefore there is no need for our learners 10 come to school. 3. There was a misinterpretation towards the memo guidelines posted in our LNU page. Some thought that we are requiring our learners to come to school since there were dates indicated for transactions. However, it was stated that it should be the parents who should come for queries and other transactions. In addition, it would be really impossible for our learners to come since the IATF guidelines refrain individuals 21 yrs. old & below from going out. We hope that these will answer the issue pointed out to our institution, May we continuously be partners in ensuring the safety and welfare of our leamers. ‘Thank you and God bless.
