Tilak, Idea Suggestions 20 July 2023

Platform/software tool that allows retailers and ecommerce sellers to instantly create a
digital social commerce store – using the technology Tilaks friend can access. So, users can
build their own from growing number of templates (we do the hosting and maintenance
etc and offer other APIs), connect it with various social media channels, we can also offer
embedded livestreaming tools (so the user can have videos of their product in real-time
through their e-store).
A WIX type portal but for social commerce stores not websites. We can even maybe allow
customers to come together into a ‘digital department store’ or ‘digital market’ so they can
share customer traffic and create joint promotions.
Why?
 Social commerce, the fusion of e-commerce and social media, is rapidly growing as
consumers increasingly prefer shopping within their social media environments.
 The portal can offer seamless integration with popular e-commerce platforms,
allowing businesses to leverage their existing product catalog, inventory
management, and order fulfilment systems. This integration makes it convenient for
retailers and sellers to extend their online presence and sales channels without
significant additional effort or resources.
 With an instant digital store creation feature, we can eliminate the technical barriers
and complexities associated with building a social commerce store from scratch. This
ease of use and time-saving benefit will attract small businesses and individual
entrepreneurs who may not have extensive technical expertise.
Other Innovations?
We can combine the social commerce platform store creator (mostly for fashion, but we can
scale to other sectors) but include a tool that offers social commerce customers the chance
to verify the authenticity and sustainability of the fashion product, so we are offering social
sustainability commerce (using some of the below).
We can offer virtual styling plug-ins so user customers can get personalized fashion
recommendations and styling advice based on their preferences, body type, and sustainable
fashion choices, and based on any AR ‘try on’ features. This service can be integrated into
the platform through chatbots or human stylists.

An additional idea is circular, sustainable social commerce, whereby resellers of fashion

goods (and other products) can build their own digital social commerce store (via the
software) and encourage secondhand sales with the social commerce stores tracking the
journey of the products.
This concept of circular, sustainable social commerce leverages the growing demand for
sustainable fashion and responsible consumption. By focusing on secondhand sales,
promoting transparency, and fostering a sense of community, we can contribute to
environmental conservation, affordability, trust, and social impact, and is a genuinely
innovative and impactful solution within the e-commerce landscape.

Another Idea is a product that allow tracking of fashion goods from fibre to floor,
encompassing the entire supply chain process.
 The resulting transparency helps identify and address potential issues related to
sustainability, ethical sourcing, and labour practices, and empowers consumers to
make informed choices and support brands that align with their values.
 Fashion industry has faced scrutiny regarding labor exploitation and unsafe working
conditions. We can verify fashion goods are produced under fair labour practices and
meet ethical sourcing standards.
 Tracking fashion goods from fibre to floor allows for visibility into the environmental
impact of the production process, assessing factors such as raw material sourcing,
energy consumption, water usage, and waste management.
 Brand differentiation and market advantage: In a competitive fashion market,
incorporating end-to-end tracking sets your brand apart as a leader in transparency
and sustainability. By showcasing your commitment to responsible practices, you
attract environmentally conscious consumers who seek products with a positive
social and environmental impact. This can give you a significant market advantage
and help build brand loyalty.
 We can track the compliance chain – so monitoring potential risks related to
counterfeit products, unauthorised subcontracting, or noncompliance with
environmental and labour regulations.

We need to look at SHOPIFY, BIGCOMMERCE etc. as possible competitors. BIGCOMMERCE is

more enterprise level – but all of the competitors are non UK based. So nothing in the UK.
