an ongoing action in the past
interrupted action

Negation: actions)
subject + was/were + not + verb + ing irritating situations with "always"

do not use the continuous with stative
verbs. Stative verbs include:

тривалий (what/who/where/when/how/which/whose/why+)
was/were + subject + verb + ing
verbs of thinking and feeling (believe, dislike,
know, like, love, hate, prefer, realise);
verbs of the senses (appear, feel, look, seem,
smell, sound, taste)
others (agree, be, belong, disagree)

That morning/afternoon/evening, that week/month/year, while, when, all day/night (long),
