Bicon Integrated Abutment Crowns™ / Immediate Stabilization

and Function: Restoration of an Immediately Stabilized and


Functioning Maxillary Left Central Incisor Implant with an
Integrated Abutment Crown™
This case demonstrates the immediate stabilization and functioning of a maxillary
left central incisor implant with its aesthetically challenging restoration with an
Integrated Abutment Crown™.
     
1. Preoperative radiograph.

2. Operative site immediately after the placement of a


5.0 mm x 8.0 mm HA coated implant.

3. Shouldered depth gauge indicating that an abutment


with a 4.0 mm shoulder height would be
appropriately positioned below the gingival crest.

4. Primer agent being applied.


5. Bonding agent being applied.

6. Light curing of bonding agent.

7. A 5.0mm x 4.0mm shouldered abutment being


inserted with only finger pressure into the well of the
implant.

8. A 5.0mm x 4.0mm shouldered abutment seated with


only finger pressure into the well of the implant.

9. Short 5.0mm wide acrylic sleeve being inserted onto


the 5.0mm wide stealth abutment.

10. Wide acrylic sleeve snapped onto shouldered


abutment.

11. Vacuum formed template placed over acrylic sleeve


indicating the need to reduce its buccal profile.
12. Acrylic sleeve being modified.

13. Transitional stabilizing prosthesis bonded to adjacent


teeth.

14. Radiograph of integrated implant five weeks after


implant placement.

15. Bonded stabilizing prosthesis prior to its being


removed at the patient’s second clinical visit.

16. Shouldered abutment after removal of bonded


prosthesis.

17. Implant well and soft tissue sulcus after removal of


stealth abutment.
18. White 3.0 mm plastic impression post receiving its
mandatory seating tap.

proximal contacts are passive and will not interfere
with the engagement of the locking taper.

the long axis of the abutment shaft and implant well
to engage the locking taper.
