Teacher Hugo: Tomorrow I'm going to meet your family. It's the first time.

Maria: Don't worry, I'm sure they'll love you.

Teacher Hugo: Can you tell me about your family? Can you tell me about your mom
and dad?

Maria: Yeah, sure. My mom is really friendly. She's kind and generous. She likes
people. I'm sure she'll love you.

Teacher Hugo: Oh good, that's good. And your dad?

Maria: Umm, my dad is serious and quiet.

Teacher Hugo: Is he grumpy?

Maria: No, no, he isn't grumpy. He's friendly, but he isn't very sociable.

Teacher Hugo: Uh… He's a farmer, right?

Maria: Yeah, he is, but he's retired now.

Teacher Hugo: And you have a lot of brothers and sisters. What are their names?

Maria: Their names are Anna, Ben, Sally, Amy, Esther and Polly.

Teacher Hugo: Whoa, six brothers and sisters. Tell me about them.

Maria: Hmm. Well, two of my sisters have children. Anna is very busy with three
little children and Amy is pregnant. She has two other daughters too.

Teacher Hugo: And the others?

Maria: Sally is a nurse and she lives in London. Esther is a writer and she is at home
with my parents, and Polly is a singer.

Teacher Hugo: Ohh, a singer. Cool. Is she a rock singer?

Maria: No, she is a jazz singer.

Teacher Hugo: OK. And you have one brother. What is his job?
Maria: He is a farmer like my dad. He's very friendly. I'm sure you'll like him.

Teacher Hugo: Alright, that's all cool, but I am still nervous.

Maria: Don't worry. You're wonderful. I'm sure they'll like you.

Teacher Hugo: OK, thanks. Let's go. We have a class now. We are late.

Maria: Let’s go!!
