Preface

The old adage, "a picture is worth a thousand words"

may hold some merit; however, without words, there would
be no picture. For it is written: "In the beginning was the
Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was
God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things
were made by him; and without him was not anything
made that was made."
God created all things by his Word, that the invisible
things of God, might be known in a picture of creation.
Physically speaking, sometimes we see things we were
missing when we move to a different place. So it is for a
good understanding. When we come into this world, we see
things from a physical viewpoint. It is not until we move
to a place where we see things spiritually that we can
have a more perfect understanding of the way things are.
Today, we have massive amounts of information
available, some of which is factual, much of which is not.
Regardless, although it is important to know, it is more
important to know rightly, and above all, to rightly
understand what we know.
More than a myriad of news clips, headlines skimmed,
or videos watched, a story that relays profound elements of
truth begs you to pause; to think deeper, to comprehend
more. In these moments of thoughtful reflection, we can
begin to lay hold on a better understanding of things as
they are. If, the heart is right.
A story has the potential to unleash much more power
of enlightenment than mere information alone. The
greatest impact on the world came through stories. Almost
2000 years ago, a man came, not with wealth, worldly
power, or armies, but with stories. His words impacted the
world more than any other king and all the armies of the
world that ever came before or after him.

Preaching to throngs of people in parables, he taught; and

without a parable, he spoke not. Why?

The parables Jesus used made truth evident, as they

were supported by a witness of common realities self-
evident. Sources of information that are considered reliable
provide references and documentation to validate the facts.
When this man spoke in parables, creation itself stood as
an irrefutable witness to the truth of his words.

At the sound of his words, the world reverberates still.

The creation that surrounds us contains more knowledge

and truth within it, than all of the records and books
humanity has ever written. When the spiritual aspects of
humanity are related to their parallel counterparts in
nature, we come to a much more profound understanding
of life and of all things. This is why the story of Ainigma
uses similitudes to represent spiritual fundamentals.

There are a number of traits and characteristics of

beasts and creatures that may be related to human
behavior. Still, a viper is, and will always be a viper.
Humans, on the other hand, have a choice of behaviors to
pursue. Humans, if they will, can change.
However, to be like Christ, you must have Christ in you.
Otherwise, you are left to your own devices and the
influences of your own nature and other spirits.
In Ainigma, the diverse beasts and creatures are gifted
the ability of moral decision making to magnify the
dichotomy between natural instincts and the conscience, a
conflict that, in our world, only humans are known to be
subjected to.
Although the story of Ainigma is a fictional work, it is,
in a sense, far less fictional than a great many of the so-
called non-fiction books available.
Ainigma
Chapter 1:
All Are One

In the enigmatic skies above, and in the earth below,

Light and Darkness clashed violently one against another
—Darkness to Light, Light to Darkness, Darkness to Light
—continually warring for dominion over the heaven and
earth. There too, the winds blew constantly, whirling
about back and forth, pushing to and fro, seemingly at
times, as if they were trying to press in from all directions
at once. Indeed, it was a world of obliquity, conflict, and
turbulence. It was Ainigma.
Now, the inhabitants of Ainigma were peculiar above all
others. In the beginning, they all dwelt together in one
region of Ainigma called Belzublon. There was no
community structure; and there was no king. And each
one wondered about, in their own way, doing and living as
they pleased.
They were simple and yet complex creatures; in some
aspects, they were very humanlike, for they spoke like,
thought like, and had the hearts of men. However, each
kind after his own kind had an appearance and nature
like the various beasts, creeping things, fowl, and all other
such things that roamed on the planet. Indeed, it would
have been difficult at times to discern whether they were
more like beasts or more like humans.
It remained, however, that aside from the various kinds
and species, there were seemingly only two clans, of which,
all the inhabitants were inclined to congregate in either
one or the other that was most typical of their own
character.
On the one hand, were the creatures of Day, and on the
other, the creatures of Night. The creatures of Day, or,
Creatures of Conscience, as they would later come to be
known, loved the light and the warmth of the sun. Also,
they ate and lived off the things that sprang from the
earth and grew.
To the contrary, the Creatures of Night roamed in the
darkness, seeking prey. With a lust for blood and raw
flesh, the night creatures cared little for the warmth or
the light, other than what little light was necessary or
beneficial for their nightly hunts; for they cared for, and
served only their appetites. Therefore, there was a schism
between the two clans, and they kept mostly to themselves.

Now Nimro was a mighty hunter, and among carnivores,

a beast among all beasts. And having gained over time,
notoriety above all others, he was exalted in Belzublon and
became very great. And when he was great, he became
exceedingly proud and lifted up within his heart; and the
spirit of Belzub rested upon him.
Thereafter, Nimro began speaking audaciously of many
things, and great. Setting forth a desirable vision, along
with comforting assurances of well being, he proposed to
build a kingdom whose height would reach to the
stars of heaven. And through the majestic grandeur of his
speeches, he caused the other creatures to feel as though
they would be safer in his kingdom and more secure under
his rule. Moreover, he promised to bring change to
Ainigma; he promised to lead the inhabitants into a new
age of hope and prosperity.

When the, Fowl of the Air, beheld him and heard his
message, they became fervidly excited. Immediately, they
began flying frantically throughout all of Belzublon
proclaiming his greatness and extolling his glorious vision.
Thereafter, many beasts and creatures, beholding the
majesty with which he was presented, were star-struck,
and stood in awe of him.
Inasmuch as he spoke with such great confidence and
authority, and in a soothing voice that calmed them, when
he called upon the beasts and creatures throughout the
whole land to follow him, they did.
Then, being moved from within to set himself over all
the planet, he called for, and gathered all the inhabitants
of Belzublon together to the city of Zabel to speak to them.
When, therefore, they were all come together to Zabel,
they assembled themselves in the Crescent Valley, a
multitude so great that they filled the entire valley, and
the valley overflowed.
It was then, Nimro, with the sun rising behind him,
stood atop the Mount of Seven Hills overlooking the valley
and spoke. And he spoke words of reconciliation to all the
creatures, and great swelling words of peace. Also,
he spoke kindly to the Creatures of Day, urging them to
put aside differences and unite with the Creatures of
Night to work together to become one society. And when
he finished making his petition to the Creatures of Day,
he made an appeal to all.

Nearing the end, as Nimro was concluding his

exhortation, the spirit of Belzub came powerfully upon
him. Straightaway, with outstretched arms raised high in
the air toward the gathering, Nimro opened his mouth and
cried with a loud voice in the audience of all who were
present, saying:
"Come now; let us unite! Let us now join forces as
One!
Let us together build for ourselves a multicultural
kingdom of all the diverse beasts of the planet, a
great society such as has never been the like, a
kingdom that reaches up even unto the stars of
heaven, a safe habitation wherein every species of
beast and creature in Ainigma shall dwell securely
without fear. Neither shall any lack or
know hunger any longer; for we shall build a
community wherein equality, justice, peace, and
prosperity shall reign from generation to
generation!"
And with these words, Nimro shouted,

"ALL SHALL BE One! One! One! One! One! One! One!. . ."
(his voice echoing throughout the valley)

After pausing briefly for applause, cheers, and emotional

affect, Nimro then posed them a question, to which he
himself was set to answer:

"You may ask: ‘Where could there be such a

community? I say unto you, look around you. It is
here! You are The Community you have been
waiting for!"
As Nimro spoke these words, euphoria swept through
the masses like a strong wind sweeping through the trees,
causing all of the leaves to flutter. Nimro, being
instinctively aware of the ambiance overcoming the crowd,
immediately seized upon the moment by straightaway
presenting them with his glorious vision for the building of
a magnificent planet-state.

As Nimro was ascending to the crescendo of his

performance and ending his audacious oratory, all the
inhabitants of Ainigma—being greatly elevated in
spirit, and completely overcome by his bold and inspiring
production—began shouting repetitiously in a loud,
monotonous voice of a great multitude,
"Nimro! Nimro! Nimro! Nimro! Nimro! . . ."

As if by design, this was allowed to continue for quite

some time, at which point, Nimro, instinctively sensing the
outburst having been milked for all it was worth, moved to
quell the uproar with a few sweeping gestures.
Momentarily, as soon as the pandemonium had subsided
to the point where his voice could again be discerned
clearly above the tumult, he proceeded again to speak:

"The time has come for hope and change! Let us go

now, and together build this great planet-state, a
safe peaceful habitation such as never been the like
before: An Open Society, one community, wherein
all will dwell as One!"
And again he shouted with all his fervor,

"Arise and build! Our time has come! On who, for

so long, have you been waiting? Is it not you? Is it
not I? Together, are not we the ones we have been
waiting for?"
At that, the masses instantly roared out a deafening
approval of triumphant jubilation, followed by what
seemed to be a pulsating thunder that shook the earth.
And as they all began singing, dancing, stomping, and
jumping, they shouted together in unison,

"We, are the ones! We, are the ones! We, are the
ones. . .the ones we have been waiting for! . ."
By now it was late afternoon, and the beasts and
creatures, although exhausted, nonetheless continued in
exultation and festivities into the evening. After twilight,
when the beasts became increasingly drunken and
boisterous into the night, they were dismissed with a
directive to return at the first light of dawn to begin the
grand endeavor. And at that, those who could still walk,
went to their own places.

On the morrow, immediately upon the appearance of the

sun, work on the planet-state commenced. And so it came
to pass that upon the sixth day of the sixth month, in the
sixth year of Zabel, "The Community" was born. Thus,
they began baking brick in the ovens; and with bitumen,
they made mortar. And, by sunset on that same day, they
were laying bricks in rhythm as they chanted loudly with a
multitude of clone-like voices,

"Yes we can! Yes we can! Yes we can! Yes we can!"

Ainigma
Chapter 2:
The Community

Now it came to pass, when the work at Zabel became

exceedingly expansive as the city grew, certain problems
arose concerning oversight of the project. For until this
point, all were to be considered equal, all were to
contribute, and all were to be recompensed equally;
although, it had never seemed to work out quite that way
yet.
Only Nimro was exempt from the labor, for it was
understood that by necessity a director must be in charge
of things, being that nothing could be accomplished
without order. Therefore, Nimro, being considered the
most capable, took charge as, the Community Organizer.
However, as Zabel grew immensely beyond what Nimro
could personally oversee, Nimro set others up beneath him
to supervise, manage, regulate, and enforce all things. He
also ordered a tribute be paid by the inhabitants of
Ainigma to support the work.
And so it came to be that, over a period of time, Nimro
increased the size of the government until it became a
behemoth; and the Carnivores filled all the offices and
seats of power in the land. It was only the Creatures of
Day that did much work, for all the Creatures of Night
became drunken during the night, and slept during the
daytime when all the work was done. Nonetheless, Nimro
provided for the poor drunken Creatures of Darkness;
for they were loyal to him, and being very many in
number, they secured his power over the kingdom.

And so it was, that the Creatures of Day were stuck

in the middle, serving the Carnivores above, and
supporting the poor Creatures of Night beneath them, who
did no work. As time passed and burdens became
overwhelming, tensions increased greatly. However, all the
problems in Zabel were blamed on those in the middle,
who did the labor and built the kingdom. For whenever
the Creatures of Night became discontent and unruly, the
Great Carnivores always joined in on their side to appease
them.
Neither would they at all take any blame for the things
they themselves had caused. Nor was there any real dialog
between the parties any longer, for no one on either side
could relate to, or understand anyone on the other. It was
as if, they were all speaking in different languages.
Therefore, the kingdom was greatly divided, to the point of
civil war.

When Nimro saw that instability threatened to destroy

the kingdom, he became increasingly tyrannical and made
a decree that was commanded to be posted throughout
Zabel; and it appeared as follows:
"Hear ye, hear ye,
Forasmuch as it has been well established that there is no
hope of survival outside The Community, let it from
henceforth be known to all the citizens of Zabel:
To ensure the safety and welfare of The Community, and
of all the inhabitants thereof, no beasts or creatures shall
be allowed to venture beyond the kingdom’s boundaries,
lest others be emboldened to do so and freedom should
appear, and all should become scattered.
Neither shall any beasts or any creatures join themselves
together to contest the vision of The Community, lest
there be discord and democracy.
Neither shall any act independently to separate
themselves from the commonweal, nor conspire with
others to do so to the end that progress should be hindered
by a republic.
Neither shall any creature speak divisively, offensively,
or hurt the feelings of another kind to trigger divisions
within The Community.
The Community is a safe space. All are to be One.
None may live or die unto themselves. Neither may
anyone act alone or independently in any matter. Nor
shall anyone speak or think anything contrary to the
edicts of The Community. Only as a collective can our
planet survive and coexistence exist.
It is therefore commanded and written into law, that, for
the well being of all, any violation of the aforementioned
dictates shall result, in the guilty party being very
canceled."
This proclamation hardly restored order; for in the days
that followed, as oppression and persecution increased, the
Creatures of Day found themselves powerless and shut out
without any voice. Even those who claimed to represent
them in the assemblies offered only mere lip service. In
the end, they always acquiesced to Nimro and the Great
Carnivores who devoured them and controlled every aspect
of their existence.

And so it came to be, when the Creatures of Day could

tolerate no more, knowing there was really nothing left to
lose, they rebelled, and determined to make Ainigma great
again.
It was then, the poor drunken Creatures of the Night,
fearing their lifestyles were in jeopardy, rioted. Taking to
the streets in great numbers, they began burning,
destroying, and looting Zabel, and the chaos spread
throughout all Belzublon.
With little hesitation, the ruling carnivores succumbed
to the rioters and joined in protesting with the masses,
hoping to cow the Creatures of Day into bowing the knee.
Nonetheless, the Creatures of Day stood up against the
Beasts of the Flesh, and in so doing, the power of The
Community was broken.
Thus, it came to pass that the work in Zabel ceased,
and many departed Belzublon and scattered throughout all
of Ainigma, each flock, herd, and horde, according to their
kind and species.
Ainigma
Chapter 3: Divisions
Nations and kingdoms

This is the chronology of how the inhabitants of

Belzublon were scattered across all of Ainigma, where they
became divided into many kingdoms. For the beasts and
creatures that migrated out from Zabel, spread out and
inhabited other regions: And they entered into the lands of
Metaphoria and Allegoria, eventually coming to
Similitudai and, in time, even going as far as the utmost
regions of Satiria.
Both herbivores and carnivores, clean beasts and
unclean beasts alike, went out of Zabel. Only those
carnivores that remained in the Crescent Valley with
Nimro were left in Belzublon.
And those who went out found their own lands to dwell
in; and they built cities and kingdoms. It was then that
the nations were formed, and Ainigma was inhabited unto
the outermost regions of the known world.

At that time also, the herbivores separated themselves,

inasmuch as it was possible, from the carnivores. The
carnivores, naturally, thought this was not a good thing.
They had both always dwelt together in Zabel, although, at
no little cost to the herbivores. When, therefore, the
carnivores saw the herbivores socially distancing
themselves, they spoke to them, saying,

"Wherefore do you despise us and think yourselves

better than us in that you distance yourselves from
us? Is not Ainigma a land of many species and
diverse kinds? Have we not, from the beginning,
been a multicultural community, one of diversity
and tolerance of all kinds? What kind of new self-
righteous holiness is this? We fail to get your beef."

To this, the herbivores answered them and said:

"Indeed, it is most certainly true that Ainigma is

home to many different kinds of beasts and
creatures. But this is not a matter of different
species; it is a matter of contrary behaviors. Have
you forgotten what happened in Zabel where
carnivores and herbivores endeavored to be One?
"It is clear; any society dependent upon the
consumption of others is destined to devour itself."
"We cannot dwell with you unless you change your
ways. Albeit, we know, that among you are those
who have not the heart or the will to do so. Be it
therefore known unto you; we will not forsake our
way of life, either, that we should begin to indulge
in flesh and blood; for then we shall become like
unto you. For the life of the flesh is in the blood.
Cease from blood, therefore, and no longer raise
your young on the flesh and blood of others. Then
shall there be peace in Ainigma and goodwill
among all beasts and creatures. Then the wolf,
bear, and lamb shall dwell together, and the lion
shall eat straw like the ox."
Upon hearing these things, the carnivores were cut to the
heart and became instinctively indignant; for they had
long been given to the consumption of raw flesh. Thus,
they replied to the herbivores scornfully, saying,

"Who are you to determine such things? And who

gave you this esoteric knowledge, or made you
judges? Do you not consider how there are many of
us, and of you, there are but a few? What then
dictates what is normal; is it not in numbers? Is it
not that we were born this way, and you another?
Who are you to say what is moral for us?"

Then the carnivores railed against the herbivores and said,

"All you herbivores are inherently bigots and

specists!"
And they accused the herbivores of being carniphobes, of
engaging in genocide, and of trying to starve their young.

When the herbivores saw the carnivores foaming at the

mouth and working themselves into a feeding frenzy, they
said to them,

"Know ye not, or have you not considered? Those

who live by the lust of the flesh, die by the lust of
the flesh. For as you do unto others, so shall it be
done unto you. But if you bite and devour one
another, take heed that you be not consumed one of
another. Your habits make for a dog-eat-dog world.
We cannot be One with you as we were in Zabel;
for when all were One, One was evil. It is clear; to
you, this is but a way of life; but to us, it is a
matter of life."
And with those words, the herbivores turned and
departed from them. This marked a great divide between
herbivores and carnivores in Ainigma. Thereafter, those
that devoured flesh and blood, and those that ate and
chewed the cud, were not separated merely by their
menus, but by two distinct ideologies as well: Beasts of
Death and Creatures of Life.
Henceforth, the herbivores went to the right to dwell in
their own place on higher ground, and the carnivores
turned hard to the extreme left to continue on their trip.
Thus, were the nations created and the kingdoms divided.
But the carnivores greatly outnumbered the herbivores,
therefore, almost all kingdoms belonged to the Beasts of
the Flesh and the Creatures of Night. And they built many
kingdoms, which, were by their nature totalitarian; for
they believed strongly in having one leader of the pack.
And not only were they intent on devouring all other
species, they would turn and eat their own kind if it
served them or the greater common benefit of the pack.
Indeed, they reasoned that if a great many appetites
could be satisfied by the sacrifice of a few, it seemed most
reasonable to act in favor of the pack.
On the other hoof, the herbivores, being Creatures of
Day, were immovable in their conviction that all beasts, if
not endowed equally by nature, surely were equally
endowed with inalienable rights, the chief of which, was
the right to pursue life, liberty, and happiness, without
the constant threat of being eaten.

And so it was, the Creatures of Day resided separately

in a desert place, atop a mountain, apart from the
carnivores. And there, Conscience came forth to
meet them. And he commanded them that neither they,
nor their offspring, from henceforth and forever, should be
partakers with the carnivores in their bloody and lustful
cravings. And with many words, he taught them. From
then on, the enmity between carnivores and herbivores
was greater than at any time before.
There were also a number of omnivores in Ainigma.
These obsessive compulsive beasts and creatures ate
vegetation or flesh depending upon convenience or
impulse. Inasmuch as they showed themselves to be
double-minded, undecided, and unstable, the herbivores
had limited relations with them.
Many among them also were without principles, and
untrustworthy, even daring to bite the hand that fed them.
Most omnivores feared to dwell among the carnivores;
wherefore, multitudes and multitudes dwelt in the
Valley of Decision.

It was true; all of the beasts and creatures in Ainigma

were indeed products of what they ate; for they developed
natural tendencies toward being carnivorous or
herbivorous depending upon what they were given, how
they were reared, and what was more prevalent in their
family and culture. And if an omnivore ate only those
things that sprang from the earth, he would, in time,
begin to overcome his bloodlust for raw flesh and lean
towards becoming a creature of conscience.
On the other hoof, if an omnivore began indulging
exclusively on raw flesh, he would acquire a taste for blood
and become habitually carnivorous. This was also true
even among the herbivores; for cases of mad cow developed
if meat was in their diet.
It was also undeniable that those who indulged only on
flesh and blood would become increasingly lustful in all
other things as well. Eventually becoming irredeemably
carnivorous, they were lovers of their own selves,
covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to
parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection,
truce-breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce,
despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady,
highminded, and lovers of pleasures more than lovers of
good.
Indeed, those who ate only raw flesh also despised any
creature who refused to partake with them in the
consumption of it. Having thrived off the lifeblood of others
for so long, carnivores were completely obsessed with flesh
and hated anyone who would challenge their habits.
For this reason, the "Beasts of the Flesh" persecuted all
those who refused to partake in flesh, and in mocking
them, they called them "Creatures of Conscience," seeking
to cow them.
But despite suffering persecution for their seemingly
peculiar behavior, the Creatures of Conscience—for, from
henceforth, this became the name by which they were
known—worked to persuade the omnivores, and even the
carnivores to change their bloody ways and not become
reprobate, as the nature of carnivores was known to be;
and some did. For, there were indeed instances where the
lion and the lamb dwelt together, sharing straw with the
ox.
In those days and after, the inhabitants of Ainigma set
boundaries, built walls, and developed their own customs,
cultures, and traditions. But all was not well. Indeed, in
those days and the days after, dark clouds increased in
the skies of Ainigma, great storms gathered on the
horizon, and the winds of Belzub blew across the land.
Ainigma
Chapter 4: Great Belzublon
Resurrection of Zabel

Now it came to pass that, in the process of time, Nimro

died. Thereafter, seeking a phoenix to resurrect Zabel, the
spirit of Belzub moved mightily upon the kings of
Ainigma. Henceforth, many kings of Ainigma, ruthless
and cruel, were given power to see which would prevail
among them to inherit the throne of Nimro. In those days,
and for millennia afterward, there was a constant state of
war in Ainigma: nation warred against nation, king
against king, and kingdom against kingdom. Nonetheless,
no matter how great the king or kingdom, absolute power
over all of Ainigma was elusive, at times, almost, but
never altogether complete or enduring.
Thus, the spirit of Belzub was never quenched. Back
and forth, to and fro, as the wind, whirling about
continually, the spirit of Belzub whipped throughout every
land, from one age to the next, from one generation to the
next, seeking the One who could again restore Zabel: the
Kingdom of Belzub in the flesh, and over all flesh.

Therefore, Belzub, sought to destroy the Creatures of

Conscience in all places in which they dwelt. For as long
as the Creatures of Conscience were present, there was no
hope of conquering all of Ainigma. For this cause, Belzub
found natural allies in the Beasts of the Flesh, who hated
the Creatures of Conscience as well, and desired their
elimination.
Still, the Creatures of Conscience continued to survive
and multiply, for they were sustained by Conscience whom
they obeyed, and were greatly strengthened. And so it was,
that, even under the worst persecution, the Creatures of
Conscience increased and prevailed from one generation to
the next, even through the Ages of Darkness. For they
followed Conscience, and were instructed by the Chief
Captains: Wisdom, Knowledge, and Understanding.

After enduring an era of persecution, the Ages of

Darkness was broken for a season. The black clouds above
began to give way, and a ray of light showed through. A
new age appeared on the horizon. Still, it not be obtained
without a great struggle; for wars among nations and
kingdoms in Ainigma only increased and became
deadlier in magnitude.
Driven by the insatiable lusts that warred in their
members, the Great Carnivores were constantly fighting,
they would lust and have not; kill, and desire to have,
fight and war, yet never obtain. They could never stop
lusting, therefore, they could never stop fighting, even in
the latter days all of Ainigma was threatened with mass
extinction. For then were the Great Wars of Ainigma; but
neither would they prove to be wars to end all wars.
It was also in the latter days, immediately before the
Great Wars of Ainigma, that the exiles of Mount Zio began
returning to their ancient land of nativity. After the Great
Wars, however, immigration increased dramatically; for
they had all but been consumed during their exile. Indeed,
the flesh eating Dinosaurs had devoured them throughout
Ainigma, wherever they could find them, imagining to rid
the whole planet of them.
For most of two millennia, the Diaspora of Zio were
without a kingdom. Persecuted always wherever they
went, at times they were threatened with extinction, but
the last Great War seemed the final clarion call.
Immediately after the war, many of the descendants of
Mount Zio who survived, determined that separation from
the Carnivores was imperative for their survival.
Therefore, when the Dinosaurs were finally vanquished,
there was an opening for a mass exodus of the exiles from
all four corners of Ainigma.
Coming to their ancient homeland, they multiplied and
were strengthened; for strangers carried them from afar on
their shoulders, and they were brought in on the wings of
eagles. Then a nation was reborn; the desert blossomed,
and the Valley of Dry Bones began to show signs of life.
This was in the latter days.
Ainigma
Chapter 5: The City on the Hill
Land of Liberty and Freedom

It was the beginning of the end, at the end, of the End

of Ages; rays of light from above pierced through the dark
clouds hanging over Ainigma, and a wondrous thing
occurred. Until those days, the Carnivore kings had
increased their rule throughout Ainigma, insomuch, the
Creatures of Conscience were persecuted wherever they
went. Being hemmed in on every side, they found no place
to dwell.
As the persecution increased in intensity, the Creatures
of Conscience were hunted down and brought before
Inquisitors. During those times, many were, tortured,
slain, and burned alive. Realizing they were in dire
straits, and having heard of newly discovered lands far
away beyond the great waters, a number of them departed
Old Ainigma, and traveling westward, they came to a vast,
sparsely inhabited wilderness, and established colonies
in the hope of finding Freedom.
After surviving perilous times and extreme hardships,
the Creatures of Conscience multiplied and prospered in
their new homeland.
Nevertheless, the Great Carnivores in Ainigma still
oppressed them and ruled them from afar. Finally, when
they could tolerate no more—for the demands laid upon
them became too grievous to bear—the Creatures of
Conscience declared independence and rebelled.
Eventually breaking the chains of tyranny, they
established their own system of government. And they
called their new nation, Liberty. And atop a great rock
they named Freedom, they built a city called, "The City on
the Hill." And in the Rock of Freedom, which was the
foundation upon the city rested; words were engraved into
the stone, to the end that they should never be forgotten.
It was those words that became the foundation of the
law. And all the words were of: Wisdom, Knowledge, and
Understanding. And the inhabitants of the land embraced
the laws and called the words: "The Words in the Stone."
And they built upon the Rock, and stood upon "The Words
in the stone," and they followed Conscience.

They also erected a colossal Beacon of Light with great

lamps filled with oil that burned continuously. Thus, they
were established, and in time, a great light radiated from
the City on the Hill, such as had never been seen by the
inhabitants of Ainigma before; insomuch, the City on the
Hill could not be hid.
Even those who were too far off to behold the light
heard the fame thereof, until there was no place in all of
Ainigma where the nation was not renown. From that
time onward, great multitudes left their places throughout
all of Ainigma and journeyed to Liberty, seeking Freedom.

But, where the herbivores are, there will the Carnivores

be gathered.

As the years passed by, the City on the Hill continued to

thrive and became wealthier and more powerful than all
the kingdoms of Ainigma.
But as riches increased, so were they increased who did
eat them. The power, wealth, glory, and honor of the
nation were a Great Carnivore’s utopia. Therefore,
multitudes of Carnivores were drawn to Liberty and
weaseled their way into positions of power. So much so,
over time, with each new generation, the Great Carnivores
became dominant and influenced all aspects of life.
As the Great Carnivores became prolific, they began
devouring the inhabitants of Liberty. Acting wily, bite by
bite, they fed their appetites, while ever increasing their
power and numbers.
Soon, their lustful habits became so great they could no
longer restrain themselves or hide their fat bellies.
Furthermore, the more the Great Carnivores ate, the
hungrier they became. Even while they were eating their
appetites increased, and they were never full. Even so,
they still retained great support among those who
embraced them because they threw them bones to pick.
Now, the Carnivore Rexes, who were loyal to no one save
themselves, dwelt in the High Places of Ainigma. They
were the wealthiest of all beasts. Although they would
have seemed to be relatively few in number, they had
immense power and a global appetite. They would have
devoured Ainigma whole had it not been for the City on
the Hill.
When Liberty had failed to be devoured during the
Great Wars of Ainigma the Rexes were sorely displeased.
In fact, Liberty had become even stronger.
At the sane time, Mount Zio was reborn, making the
Carnivore Rexes even more distraught. Therefore, they
took counsel and sought to find means whereby they might
destroy them both by subtlety and witchcraft.

It was after dinner at a secret Build-a-burger meat-

eating, that a consensus was reached among the Carnivore
Rexes, to hire wise counsel that might devise means, as to
how to proceed in destroying the City on the Hill.
Seeing that there were none more cunning than the
Reptiles, the Carnivore Rexes inquired of the Serpents—
who were considered the most subtle of all—whereby they
might prevail. For it was well known that the Serpents too
detested the Creatures of Conscience, the City on the Hill,
and above all, they especially hated the Words in the
Stone, upon which Liberty had all been founded.
Being that this was indeed true, when the Serpents
were approached for their assistance, they were well
pleased by the request for their services and happily
entertained their suitors. In fact, they had been eagerly
anticipating the Rexes’ solicitation for quite some time.
Therefore, when asked how to proceed against the City
on the Hill, the Serpents replied with a hiss to the
Carnivore Rexes, and said,

"Tif by warsss you alwaysss fail;

Tisss by peace you may prevail."

And again they hissed,

"Tisss true the wallsss are thick and high

From bulwarksss outside, dare not try
Tisss within you shall prevail
By open'ng up the, Gates of Hell"

Then and thereafter, the Rexes and Serpents became

partners and entered into a covenant. Funding think
tanks wherein they devised tactics and schemed schemes,
they set in motion a Blueprint for Revolution to seize
control of the City on the Hill by craft. Officially dubbed,
Agenda 3.0, it would be "The Open Conspiracy" to prepare
the way for, "The Farm."
Pledging their lives and loyalties, they swore an oath to
work toward the same end by any means, whereby, should
they gain the kingdoms, they would sit together in the
high places sharing power, and ruling as an oligarchy of
Philosopher Kings. Finally, after sealing themselves with a
curse, the Carnivore Rexes went each to his own lair, and
the Serpents slithered off into their holes.

It was an unholy alliance that marked the beginning of

the Days of Crises. During these days, multitudes upon
multitudes of beasts and creatures in Ainigma drew near
to the Valley of the Shadow of Death.
Ainigma
Chapter 6: Destroyers
The Predators

Behold, these are the evil beasts and creatures that

spoiled Ainigma and corrupted Liberty:

The Carnivores:
There were a great number of different kinds and species
of Carnivores. They resided in places from the palaces to
the pits. Rich, poor, strong, and weak, they could be found
at all levels of society. The Great Carnivores were
especially allured by power. They were at the top of the
food chain, setting down the laws and forcing all the others
to pay tribute.
Under their authority were a greater number of smaller
carnivores and swamp creatures. Many of these resided in
the marshes of bureaucracy, and the swamps of countless
offices, agencies, departments, and public sector jobs. They
picked bare the bones thrown to them by the Great
Carnivores, for which they were thankful, and assured
them of their loyalty.
There were also innumerable parasites and scavengers
scattered throughout all the towns, cities, and
communities; they too were systematically fed to keep
them dependent upon the Great Carnivores in power.
Always fighting to become the most dominant beast, the
Great Carnivores, displayed no hesitation at all about
devouring anyone to fill their bellies. And when it came
down to personal survival, they showed a ferocious
appetite for scapegoats.
Aside from the powers delegated to them, the Great
Carnivores often worked under the table, or took the risk
of going out on a limb to gather prey for themselves.
Regardless of species, all Carnivores were treacherous.
Under their hides, they were extremely deceitful and
predatory, and there was hardly much difference between
them.
However, the most secretive and powerful of all
carnivores were the Carnivore Rexes. Though fewer in
number, these elitists possessed immeasurable amounts of
wealth, a global reach, and an appetite for everything on
the whole planet. Having a monopoly over international
corporations and financial institutions, they were loyal to
no one. They hated nations, states, borders, divisions of
sovereign powers, or anything that would impede their
pursuit of global consolidation.

The Primates:
The Primates were the masters of the law. While some
practiced law, litigating, prosecuting, or defending
perpetrators, others presided over legal matters, making
decisions or passing judgments on matters concerning the
law. Although the apes were capable of walking uprightly,
most very rarely did. Usually, as did most other beasts,
they went about their way on all fours with their faces
toward the earth and their backs toward Heaven.
Most primates; regardless of species, were mainly
centered on having things their own way, especially in
matters involving others. To them, everything was monkey
business. For the majority, litigation was their game.
When another beast or creature was injured, they went
ape. Panting excitedly, they followed in hot pursuit of any
injured animal, hoping to find gain.
On the other hand, some primates thrived more off the
attention they received from turning a courtroom into a
circus. By and large, they would swing left when given an
option, justifying the actions of a beasts gone wild.
They also had a habit of opening the cages of incarcerated
wild beasts, and setting them loose to run in the streets.

Above all the others, it was the Great Apes alone who
sat in the highest seats of judgment. They had the final
word. Their decisions set precedents. Often overruling
lower courts or rejecting earlier precedents, they waged
gorilla warfare against the law to have things their own
way.

The Reptiles:
These scaly, cold-blooded creatures were the most subtle
and crafty of all creatures. They were prolific in all areas
requiring higher degrees of knowledge and intelligence.
Most reptiles were nocturnal, preferring to work under a
shroud of darkness.
Although the Reptiles were numbered among the
carnivores, their coldblooded nature and keenness
distinguished them from the others. Indeed, among them
were intellectuals. Intellectuals, so obsessed with
analyzing everything to such great extremes, they were
unable to ever stop, even when coming to the correct
conclusion. Because of this, they were almost always
wrong on everything. But even then, it could hardly be
disputed that they were not sophisticated and brilliantly
wrong in doing so.
Some hypothesize that the Reptiles’ high intellect and
absence of sound reason resulted from mental paralysis on
the right side of the brain, causing the left side to
overreact. Still, others said it was the result of a heart
problem stemming from their cold-blooded nature.
Whatever the truth, many of them were still highly
regarded as wise.

Now the Serpent was more subtle than any beast of the
field. It was chiefly the Serpents who had risen to the
highest places in academia and controlled higher
education. They were the most influential reptiles in
shaping society and molding future generations. It was the
Serpents that convinced the other beasts and creatures to
eat fruit from the forbidden tree of knowledge of good and
evil; which, they foolishly believed would make them wise
as gods. It was also the Serpents that practiced witchcraft
and taught rebellion.
There were also soothsayers among the Serpents who
went about sowing fear and forecasting doom. With
rattling tales, they freaked-out hordes of beasts and
creatures, prophesying extinction from pestilence, the end
of the rain forest, the demise of the arctic regions, and the
rise of the oceans.
Indeed, they worked without ceasing to rattle the beasts
and creatures into a constant state of panic over the
eminent destruction of the whole planet. For this, they
were greatly honored and often received many prestigious
awards for their Nobel work.

All of the agendas the Serpents promoted involved some

type of crisis requiring immediate action, new powers, the
sacrifice of freedom, and lots and lots of money. Whenever
the beasts and creatures became weary of their crises,
they invented new ones, or reheated old ones, for the
purpose of always having a crisis. Indeed, their chief
objective was to always have a crisis, to incite activists
into buying their agenda, so they could sell their snake oil.

The Fowl of the Air:

Chiefly, these were the vultures, buzzards, ravens, and
various other winged scavengers, whose existence was
dependent upon the misfortunes of others.
Being led by the "Prince of the Power of the Air," the
Fowl controlled the airways, the wires, cables, mass media,
and virtually all sources of mainstream news and
misinformation. However, it was the Master Spiders
that spun the world wide web.
Perched high above all, the fowl spent a great deal of
time analyzing and criticizing almost everyone and
everything as they looked down in contempt,
pooping upon the pitiful creatures below.
While they were as proud as peacocks, most were
cynical and extremely negative birds. Some, however,
could become quite enamored with shiny objects, and if
ever some silly loon got a thrill up his leg, he would fly off
cockeyed in the air of hysteria, fanatically attempting to
excite the whole flock into frenzy.
Because the, Fowl of the Air, were flesheaters and
scavengers, they naturally found their greatest pleasure in
feasting on others. Still, causing panic, and inciting other
beasts to anger with inflammatory stories was something
they also found quite gratifying. Once they landed on
something, they picked it to the bone. And if ever red meat
was scarce, they spent their time in the news cycles flying
in circles, almost always exclusively to the left.
Other than that, their chief contribution to society
seemed to be their incessant chattering among themselves,
parroting each other, and squawking out opinions in a way
that sounded more like crowing than anything else.
They also flew about continuously singing their own
praises and the praises of those whom they favored, while
criticizing, judging, jeering, and pecking at all others,
especially those in flyover country.
At the same time, the fowl saw themselves as accountable
to no one. After all, their habitations were far above the
rest. Indeed, their feathers became more than a little
ruffled if anyone dared to correct them on any point. It
was then, all birds of a feather stuck together, even in
defense of a bird brain. However, if any of them did
venture to sing a different tune, their tweets were
censored.
On air, the birds of prey tried to appear graceful, but
inevitably, they laid an egg. They were also known for
flying off the handle and resting on contrived polls, where
they attempted to sway opinions, shape policies, and
mastermind outcomes.
Moreover, whenever they were not busy trying to
manipulate all the other creatures with their cock and bull
stories, they could always be found circling above some
critically wounded beast, or excitedly flocking down to
join others in the feasting of whatever remained of a
deteriorating carcass.

The Hyenas:
These amusing creatures, being celebrities to themselves,
dominated entertainment. In terms of celebrity, few were
greater or had a larger following, especially among
themselves. Virtually all hyenas were insatiably
indulgent creatures that enjoyed congregating, some being
socialites, and others being mere party animals. Generally
speaking, most of were outspoken, liberalized beasts who
promoted a variety of agendas and lifestyles.
Preferring the nightlife, as the more common creatures
were calling it a day, these beasts were preparing to go on
the prowl. Although they had a reputation for habitually
barking at the moon, they idolized the stars above all.
Neither was it uncommon among them in their nightly
activities to often change or share multiple partners, even
of their own gender, if they were aware of what it was.
Indeed, many were polymorphic.
And yet, for all their excessive mating, overall, the
hyenas seemed to have disproportionately few offspring
compared to the more common beasts. Even so, they were
constantly caught preying on the offspring of others, and
showing a creepy, inordinate desire to have their say about
how the young should be reared.
One thing that almost all hyenas did share, however,
was the way that they viewed things. Indeed, much like
the, Fowl of the Air, they preferred looking down on other
creatures from atop a sublime peak or some other lofty
place.
They were also somehow of the opinion that they were
more righteous, caring, and loving than other creatures;
even though they overindulged on flesh and promoted the
sacrifice of their own, or anyone else’s broods. Because of
this, they felt reproach from the Creatures of Life who
condemned such acts. In turn, they ridiculed the good
creatures at every opportunity, lashing out at them in
their arts to make them look insane.

The Rodents:
The rodents were by far the most numerous and, generally,
the poorest of creatures. Most, resided in highly populated
areas in the inner cities, feeding on garbage. Some did
achieve great prominence, although often it was only with
a great degree of assistance from the more powerful
Reptiles or Carnivores who had a use for them in such a
capacity.
By themselves alone, rodents were weak; however, due
to their incredibly large numbers, they were formidable
creatures as a collective pack. The Great Carnivores, who
were more than aware of this, threw them bones, fed
them bull, and sacrificed sheep, for which they were
grateful and remained loyal.
The Reptiles, on the other claw, knew how to spark mass
movements among the rodents by inciting them to
extremism whereby they achieved their own political
agendas by proxy.

The Master Spiders of the Web

Last but not least were the Master Spiders of the Web.
With manifold eyes and numerous legs, there was none the
like in all of Ainigma. Larger than the other beasts and
creatures, they wove their web throughout the whole
world where most would become entangled therein.
The Master Spiders kept constant surveillance on the
whole planet day and night. Entering houses and virtually,
all other places, everyone was a potential victim. Neither
did they ever cease spinning the web day or night.
Running throughout all the earth, almost no one, or
place was hidden from their eyes. The most venomous of
all creatures, they possessed the potential to paralyze part,
or virtually all, of the world. Therefore, there was no
greater threat of entanglement in Ainigma. Indeed; for it
was the Master Spiders that weaved them together and
lured them into the web where there would be no escape.

Thus, these were the Beasts and Creatures that ruled

Ainigma and corrupted Liberty. But besides them, there
were great multitudes of others who entered Liberty after
the Gates of Hell opened.

In the meantime, the Great Apes of Liberty sat in the

highest place of judgment, presiding over all, as they
pretended to understand and sort things out, while
exercising their own pleasure.
Ainigma
Chapter 7: Insiders
The Great Subversion

In the days following the Great Wars, Belzub, knowing

that he had but a short time left, went to and fro
throughout Ainigma, as a raging and roaring lion, seeking
whom he might devour. The Carnivore Rexes, being, of the
same mind and spirit, gathered in Devols to hash out the
final details of Agenda 3.0, wherewith they planned to
transform Ainigma.
Having financed the Great Carnivores into the most
powerful seats of authority, the Rexes had made
tremendous inroads throughout Ainigma, and, even more
so, in the City on the Hill.
They also transferred funds to the Reptiles, which had
the task of indoctrinating the younger generations;
However, special care was taken to provide for the needs of
the Serpents.
The Rexes also bought out virtually all the platforms
where the Fowl of the Air perched broadcasting their
squawking points.

On the other claw, the Reptiles, being among the most

coldblooded of all, and very cunning, pervaded academia.
There, they led classes, and riled up the masses, with
indoctrination of victimization, they taught green house
gasses were killing the nations, the only salvation, stop
modernization, by taking control, over all of creation.
With their tales, the Reptiles whipped their pupils into
a hysteria of hypersensitive, self-righteous narcissism.
Feverishly, they worked to tear down the City on the Hill.
Defaming the founders and erasing the truth, they rewrote
history, deceiving the youth. Inventing crises, they
frightened the masses by making up lies that they taught
in their classes.

Concocting groups and subgroups, then subgroups of

subgroups, the Reptiles incited rebellion. Indeed, they
were professionals in the art of pitting one group against
another. Sowing seeds of discord under the guise of
diversity, they cultivated the tree of division, producing the
poisonous fruits of contention. Promoting false agendas,
they laid a false claim to virtue. Flaunting fetishes, they
seduced their protégés, spawning for themselves
polymorphic sex-slaves.
Nonetheless, it was the limbless reptiles who were the
most persuasive in terms of deception. Fated to go about
on their bellies, the Serpents survived solely by their wits
and with their mouths. Garnering such titles as Doctor
and Professor, they gained enough esteem to convince the
other creatures of their superior intellect. This they did so
effectively that they became the most highly regarded as
being experts in all matters. To them, therefore, the other
creatures sent their young to be educated about almost
everything.
Thus, in the course of time, the Serpents gained
complete control over all of the greatest institutions of
education; and they indoctrinated the minds of the youth
with their venom.
Being esteemed the most knowledgeable in all matters,
the Serpents were able to pervert knowledge. Through
witchcraft and sorcery. They also invented various
concoctions of enlightenment. These potions, along with
certain herbs and other substances, were hailed as being
able to make one wise. And the young creatures were
enticed into abusing substances, but they did not perceive
their poisons and were brought under their sorcery.

From one generation to the next, the degradation of

each generation brought with it many more vices and
victims. Wild beasts increased in the land and roamed the
streets. Wolves, cougars, and other sensual eaters of
flesh stalked their prey like vampires in the night. The
foxes gamed; while the swine, sporting jewels of gold in
their snouts, seduced vulnerable creatures to join in their
gluttonous revelries.
Heartlessly feeding on the lives of others, they indulged
themselves till they were hopelessly bound in the fetters of
their own debauchery.
Even many of those who sat in the highest places of
power and prestige gave themselves over to their lusts.
Seeking out the youth as merchandise to consume, they
created a thriving industry of trafficking that particularly
exploited the young and became a vice for countless flesh-
eaters. Soullessly, they ate their flesh with no regard for
their souls and vomited out the excess.
All of these corrupt things and many more were
practiced by all the Beasts of the Flesh. For it was the
nature of the beast to devour others in a vain attempt to
satisfy its own insatiable appetite.
Thus, they aspired to rape the City on the Hill until it
was as wholly decadent as they were.

Rulers, principalities, and powers, practicing spiritual

wickedness in high places The Beast of the Flesh inverted
righteousness, turning the law into hemlock. Contriving
devices, they conspired to make evil good, and good
evil; to put darkness for light, and light for darkness; to
put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Perverting justice, they framed mischief by a law.
Multitudes were shackled in chains of darkness to be
delivered to the abyss.

And so it came to be, that many of the inhabitants of

Liberty became irredeemably reprobate embracing all
manner of wickedness above all those who had been before
them. In place of the gods made of wood and stone, such
as their fathers worshiped, they made gods of flesh and
worshiped one another and themselves. And rather than
offering their children to graven images, they sacrificed
them in the womb upon the alters of their own pleasures.
Ainigma
Chapter 8:
The Winds of Belzub

Again, in the days following the Great Wars, the winds

of Belzub returned. Blowing continuously across the land
day and night, the winds grew stronger with each new
day. Soon they became a prevalent force felt by all
throughout Ainigma, and the beasts were stirred in spirit;
but none more than the Carnivores in the Crescent Valley
and the Beast of Belzub in the regions thereabout.
On a number of different occasions, the beasts sought to
halt the restoration of Mount Zio. Once Zio was formally
declared a nation, the beasts made war and fought to
destroy it. But they prevailed not on any occasion.

Thereafter, their hatred was also turned against the

Creatures of Conscience who had helped Mount Zio.
Indeed, the Creatures of Conscience found affinity in
Mount Zio, being that Zio was the place from whence came
the Words in the Stone in the ancient times.
It was in the Words in the Stone that the creatures
found Conscience whom they followed. For this reason, the
Beasts of Belzub hated them all the more, as did all the
Beasts of the Flesh.
At that time after weeks of gales, the winds of Belzub
began slowly subsiding, and were replaced by an eerie
calm over the land. Meanwhile, the skies of Ainigma
darkened daily being covered with clouds that were almost
pitch black.
Along with the appearance of the thick dark clouds,
came thunder, lightning, and hailstones, which, proceeding
out of the darkness, struck many kingdoms and nations.
With great vengeance, striking suddenly without warning,
and in no certain place, the strikes killed innocent sheep
and wreaked havoc upon property, leaving burnt patches
that dotted vast areas of landscape.
In the beginning, the strikes were dismissed as
aberrations. However, as they began increasing in number
and severity, it became clear. There was a definite pattern
forming. Shortly after more than a few perished at once on
several occasions, the lightning became too much to blink
at. It was apparent; occurrences were increasing in
frequency and furor, causing greater devastation and loss
of life.

As fear and confusion began gripping the creatures

throughout Ainigma, the inhabitants began seeking
answers as to what might lie beneath the increasing
number of strikes, for there seemed to be an uncanny
organization to the dots scattered about the landscape. But
still, no one connected the dots.
Finally, being forced to acknowledge the formation of a
diabolical pattern, the creatures and beasts sought counsel
to understand the meaning of all these things.
It was then that the Wise Ones were called, for they
were wise as serpents and harmless as doves, and well
rehearsed in the Books of the Ancients. They would be
able to connect the dots and decipher their meaning. And
when they were come, they spoke unto them all, saying:

"The darkness, the blackness, the hailstones, the

thunder, and the lighting, which you see and hear,
are not mere aberrations of nature; nor are they
the work of a few lone wolves, as you might have
supposed. Nay, but rather, divination. Indeed, know
of a certainty, this is no less than the work of the
Beasts of Belzub. It is from their midst that these
acts of terror proceed. The spirit of Belzub is upon
them, and they will not rest until all of Ainigma is
under submission. Behold, are there not some of
them among you now?"
And the wise ones proceeded to admonish them and
advised them, saying,

"Take our counsel and assemble yourselves

together. We must defend against these evil beasts.
For unless you stop the Beasts of Belzub, they will
destroy you. Then shall all the curses of the
Crescent Valley come upon you and all your
children, and the Darkness of Belzub will swallow
up Ainigma for a thousand years."
When the beasts and creatures of Ainigma heard these
words, they trembled and were sore afraid. The very
thought of a possible confrontation with the wild beasts of
Belzub shook them greatly. Therefore, in spite of the
admonitions of the Wise Ones, they sought out different
council to speak to them smooth things and prophesy
comforting words.
Therefore, they called for the Doves; and when the
Doves were come, they placated their fears and sent forth
ambassadors to negotiate with the Beasts of Belzub, the
conditions whereby they all might live in peace.
Nonetheless, upon being approached by the Doves,
instead of being receptive to their conciliatory gestures,
the Beasts of Belzub perceived fear and weakness on their
part. This made the wild beasts even more brazen
than before. Therefore, the wild beasts played with the
Doves as a cat would play with a mouse; and they mocked
and ridiculed the Doves to watch them grovel. For all
other beasts inhabiting Ainigma were an abomination in
the eyes of the Beasts of Belzub, and any weakness served
only to earn more disdain.
Nevertheless, once they finished scorning the Doves, the
Beasts of Belzub took their money and sent them home,
all the while laughing among themselves.
And so Doves departed, confidently rejoicing in the pride
of their hearts that the wild beasts had taken their money.
Still, again and again, the Beasts of Belzub struck out
against the other creatures of Ainigma, killing among
others, the canary in the coal mine. Nevertheless, even
after this act of terror, the creatures of Ainigma persisted
in blaming themselves for every hostile reaction of the wild
beasts.
Reasoning together, they spoke among themselves,
saying,

"It is because we have offended these beasts and

shown them disrespect that they hate us. Come
now therefore, let us silence those among us who
dare speak anything amiss against the Beasts of
Belzub; peradventure afterward, their wrath
against us may be appeased!"

Aghast at such notions, the Wise Ones of Ainigma stood

up and rebuked them, saying,

"It is not fit that all beasts and creatures should

dwell together! For what hath a carnivore in
common with a herbivore, and what do those who
love to graze share with those who lust for flesh
and blood? There is no moral equivalence between
peaceful and bloody beasts. Defend yourselves
against these evil beasts of Darkness, O ye
Creatures of Day, if indeed you are! Let them not
overrun you!"
Notwithstanding the well reasoned and persuasive
oratory of the Wise Ones, the inhabitants of Aingma were
made more afraid by their warnings. Therefore, they
refused to regard the words of the wise, and they closed
their eyes so they would not see and stopped their ears so
they would not hear. From that time forward, the winds
favored Belzub, for the greater part of the nations and
kingdoms of Ainigma sought out the counsel of Doves to
guide them.

Being birds of a feather at heart, the Fowl of the Air

praised the Doves and spake many things in defense of the
Beast of Belzub. Thereafter, much of Ainigma fell prey to
their words. In those days and after, the Doves of Ainigma
made secret deals with the Beasts of the Crescent Valley
and gave them money under the table. They also published
guidelines for the kingdoms and nations to follow, hoping
to appease the wild beasts. Thereafter, a resolution was
passed and adopted by the Nations United, which read as
follows:

"To all nations and kingdoms of Ainigma; let it be

known:
Fear not the Beasts of Belzub. They are only a
danger to us if we refuse to consider their
grievances, fail to respond to their demands, or
lack compassion for their cause. War is not the
answer. The only path to peace is through
sensitivity and repentance. We must change our
ways.
Therefore, we now present before you a clinically
tested, scientifically proven, professionally certified,
eight-step program for recovery and reconciliation
of all offending parties, which is us. By strictly
adhering to these eight simple procedures, peace
will be restored, and we will be able to coexist with
the B.O.B. and every other rogue beast in Ainigma:
#1. Show them respect; and honor their culture,
customs, beliefs, and prophets; active participation
is most effective.
#2. Fear not to ask questions; find out what their
demands are; and meet them.
#3. Reassure them we are friendly and mean no
harm.
#4. Forgive and disregard any and all acts of terror
they have committed in the past, or will inflict
upon us in the future; their anger is not their fault.
#5. Apologize for the sins of our ancestors; it is
their fault.
#6. Agree with them that we are the enemy and
reassure them that, their enemies are our enemies
also.
#7. Build trust; allow them to have nukes.
And lastly,
#8. Keep giving them more and more money.”
Upon receiving these recommendations, the majority of
the creatures in Ainigma were, for the most part, well
pleased, for there would be peace in their time. However,
they knew not, nor did they understand; it was not for
the love of peace that the Doves sought to appease the
Beast of Belzub, but rather, those they thought to be
Doves, were in fact, Chickens.

Henceforth, they continued to reject the counsel of the

Wise Ones, and sought in every way imaginable to find
favor in the eyes of the Beasts of Belzub, even opening up
their gates and inviting multitudes of the wild beasts to
come in and live among them.
Ainigma
Chapter 9:
Winds of Change

It was the latter part of the season before the harvest of
Ainigma, during the sweltering heat at summer’s end,
when the Zebra arose to contend for the leadership of the
City on the Hill. Finding support among the commoners of
Liberty, he was able to maneuver into a good position to
win the contest for power.
When the Fowl of the Air, which despised him, saw his
chances of success were likely, they attacked him on the
airways. Bushwhackers also came out of the bushes to
beat him, while liars lying in wait laid ambushes for him.
Supported by the Carnivores who had no taste for the
Zebra, the Wild Bore of the rain forest sought to Gore him
in an attempt to take the seat of power for himself;
however, the climate wasn’t right and failed to change.
And so it was that the Zebra prevailed and became the
Commander.

Not long after the Zebra took the helm, certain

extremists from the Beast of Belzub attacked Liberty,
hoping to bring the nation down. To the contrary, in the
days that followed, it seemed that the terrorist attack had
united Liberty. The Zebra hit back immediately with a
respectable counterattack against the beasts, disrupting
their terrorist network. He also proved somewhat effective
in continuing to defend the nation from another serious
attack in the aftermath.
Even so, as the battle raged on, the Zebra pursued the
beasts into the quagmire. There, he found himself
endangered by the Swamp around him.
When the Swamp Creatures and Fowl of the Air saw he
was struggling in the quicksands, they turned vehemently
against him, and he faced a continual onslaught, not only
from the enemy without, but also a barrage of accusations
from the enemy within, the latter of which he was never
able to completely overcome.
Some ridiculed the Zebra for being too black and white;
many despised him greatly on this account. On the other
hoof, others said that because he was neither all black nor
all white, he was compromised by his stripes. Regardless
of whatever the truth was, towards the end of the trail he
had become somewhat lame, and it was not possible that
he could continue leading the nation down the path any
further. Neither was he able to run again any longer after
that.
It had been almost eight years since the Zebra had come
to the forefront to lead. At the end, the constant beating of
the Zebra by the Bushwhackers had taken its toll. The
nation was weary; markets were being manipulated
downward, and the inhabitants of Liberty were ready for
change. Noticeably limping from his wounds, the Zebra
headed off into the sunset.

Even before the backside of the Zebra disappeared over

the horizon, one from among the rodents arose, claiming
the right to lordship over the kingdom. His appearance
was sudden, and it was not easily ascertained from
whence he came, or whither he would go. It seemed he
came out of nowhere, and he was clothed in ambiguity.
He was a dark, slender rodent, with fur that, under
good light, clearly shone red. Too, only then did he cast a
shadow. Howbeit, his shadow bore almost no resemblance
at all as to how he presented himself.
Other than that, he had a long tail, with which he was
able to pull countless other rodents along with him. And
he also had exceedingly sharp teeth, although he skillfully
managed to keep them well concealed. But, above all the
other intriguing attributes that brought about great
wonderment, it was the Rodent’s new clothes that became
the rave and caused delirium.
Moreover, he spoke with audacity and boasted great
things, which pleased many of the creatures. It was for
this reason that he was chosen by the Serpents. And the
Great Carnivores moved over to make space for him.

When the Fowl of the Air saw him, they were well
pleased by his appearance. When they heard him speak,
they were even more taken. Immediately, they proclaimed
his arrival, flying into all four winds. Heralding his
coming, they cried,

"A bright new star is rising above all, an avant-

garde whose illumination is as a lone light shinning
in a darkened sky!"
This greatly excited the hyenas, who quickly gathered
around to embrace him. As emotions were stirred, many
more of the wild beasts and creatures lauded him also.
Thronging him, they followed in amazement. For as an
enchanting melody flows from the flute of a mystical pied
piper, his words cast a spell, charming the snakes,
entrancing the rodents, and beckoning all—Come!

The Leopard, on the other paw, was tremendously upset
at his sudden appearance. She had, for some time now,
assumed it was her destiny to reign as queen over Liberty.
Neither was she at all amused when her followers began
leaving her to embrace the Rodent.
First, she tried to change her spots, then to undermine
the Rodent tactfully without impugning herself, both to no
avail. She also engaged a number of different alchemists
for advice, but neither could they provide her with any
answers.
Finally, when she perceived she could not prevail, she
most reluctantly made a pact with the Rodent, and, for a
price, joined him, albeit very grudgingly and in bitterness
of spirit. Thereafter, many other factions of wild beasts,
who in times past were at enmity against each other, came
together to give their power to the Rodent also, saying,

"He has come! He has come! The One whom we’re
awaiting has come!"
As the groundswell of emotional enthusiasm increased,
the whole planet took notice. Throughout all the kingdoms
of Ainigma, voices were heard praising the Rodent. Yea,
even some of those who held disdain for the Rodent
praised him and lauded his ascension. Indeed; for there
were many enemies of Liberty who were salivating at the
prospect of having such a one as he at the helm of power.
Even in hostile foreign lands, there were Great Carnivores
who welcomed him while licking their chops, craving the
opportunity to have the Rodent over for lunch.

And the Rodent spoke audaciously of many things, but
in reality, with many words, he said nothing. But even
when he said nothing, he said nothing very well. For he
knew how to say nothing convincingly, as though he meant
it. And the Serpents that had raised him managed and
counseled him, and they put words in his mouth.
Therefore, hordes and hordes followed him, for his
skillfully crafted words were elevating. Neither did they
care that his message was that of nothing shrouded in
ambiguity, for even if it was nothing, he seemed to mean it
from the depths of his heart and spoke it with great
confidence in warm, affected tones.
It also came to pass, on a certain day at the appointed
prime time, the Rodent appeared before a massive crowd
in the high place of the networks, where he addressed the
multitudes. And as he spoke, he told them smooth things
and prophesied to them in a comforting voice. Yea, he
inspired them, lifting their spirits with a vision of hope
and a promise of change. He lifted them until they were
greatly elevated into a surreal world.
As his mesmerizing presentation continued, it gained
more and more presence; and as it did, euphoria swept
through the masses as a wind sweeping through a rain
forest, causing the leaves of the trees to flutter. It was
then that—the Rodent being instinctively aware of the
ambiance overcoming the crowd—he immediately seized on
the enthusiasm by proclaiming loudly,

"Behold! I come to offer you hope and change! I
come bringing transition into a new age and a new
world, a safe, peaceful habitation in a unified
planet!"
As the Rodent paused for affect, at once the great
multitudes of beasts and creatures roared their approval.
This outburst, milking it for all it was worth, he allowed
to continue momentarily, and then, with a few sweeping
gestures, he proceeded to quell the uproar.

With chin up high, expressing an air of authority, he
beckoned for their audience, and then cried out, saying,

"Come! Let us unite! Let us join together in

building a multicultural Global Community,
wherein all diverse beasts and creatures of our
planet may dwell in prosperity! We are the world!"
And he shouted,
"All Shall Be One!… One!… One!… One!… One!… One!..
(his voice echoing repeatedly throughout the stadium)

And again, the Rodent paused for effect after the

anticipated uproar, whereupon he again shouted out over
the crowds, saying,

"Arise and build! Our time is now! We, are the ones
we have been waiting for!"
Instantly the roar of the masses intensified, as the
multitudes blared vociferously in triumphant jubilation;
and then, in what seemed to be a pulsating thunder
shaking the whole earth, they all began singing, dancing,
stomping, and jumping, as they shouted together in
unison,

"We, are the ones!  We, are the ones!  We, are the
ones we have been waiting for!. . ."
With these words, the creatures were raptured in spirit
into another world, where they shrieked, screamed,
shouted, and applauded in a deafening display of approval.
As this continued, some swooned as others rubbed bodies
and commenced swaying in rhythm as they chanted
together in droning, clone-like voices,

"Yes we can!  Yes we can!  Yes we can!  Yes we can!

Chapter 10:
Transformation

With a change of seasons came a shift in the winds.
The warm breezes of summer gave way to colder winds
from the opposite pole, and as the gelid winds sweeping
across the land blew harder with each passing day, they
became increasingly frigged and abnormally boisterous.
Things were now going south.
In like manner, the momentum had shifted decisively to
favor the Rodent and his campaign. With the Zebra no
longer at the helm, there was no small concern as to who
would best engage in the battle against the Rodent. The
Rinos roaming about the swamp became increasingly
apprehensive, and with time running out, they settled on
an old warhorse to lead the charge.
He was a gray horse of renown. Hardly harnessed, he
had gained his reputation as a maverick by bucking those
who attempted to break or corral him. Nonetheless, he was
a politician, so he paraded himself as being bridled; even
though his reins were held in his own mouth. And he also
wore blinders to prevent himself from turning to the right
or the left.
And the gray horse boasted, saying,
"I have both the experience of service, and the
wisdom of years. I will lead you into the battle
against the Rodent and his armies."

Thus, the gray horse went about the kingdom to
assemble and build his forces.

Notwithstanding, the gray horse soon showed himself to
be too feeble to prevail. This was made evident from the
outset. And although he could not be accused of being too
black and white like the Zebra, many saw his grayness as
an unattractive, contradictory mixture of both.

Others said simply,

"The old gray horse, he ain’t what he used to be,
many long years ago. He’s too old to run."
Coming to the realization that he had insufficient
support to engage the Rodent, the gray horse sent to the
north country for reinforcements. Then came there one
from the north country bringing many along with her to
succor him. Thereafter, he was strengthened a little and
embarked into the battle for control of the Hill City.

Even before the first stages of the battle had begun, the
Rodent’s special forces had already captured the airways
and controlled virtually all communications. Yea, for the
Fowl of the Air had been working on his behalf since the
day he first appeared. The Reptiles also were with him, for
having been mentored by the Serpents, he was very much
like-minded and did their bidding. And great masses of all
types of carnivores, great and small, followed after him
with enthusiasm.

It was not long after the engagement that the battle for
control of the Hill City entered its final stages; for it was
evident to all sides that the Rodent and his allies had
clearly amassed a far superior force. Not only did the
Rodent have a much larger army, but a network of
strategic alliances, both open and secret, far too many to
even know. And not only were innumerable supporters
volunteering to work on his behalf, but he seemingly had
unlimited resources as well.
In the end, the support of the Reptiles, Carnivores, and
Fowl, provided the Rodent an insurmountable advantage.
Therefore, the battle went hard for the gray horse and his
followers, and the horse weakened in battle.

Attempting to revive the horse, his followers led him to
water, but the horse refused to drink. When those who led
the horse to water saw how they couldn’t make the horse
drink, many regretted having not chosen a dark horse.
It was too late; they were already well beyond the
halfway point and could not change horses in the middle of
the race.
Among the ranks also came disorientation as they
looked on beholding the gray horse as he went wobbly.
Some began whipping him, hoping to make him run
harder. Others became disheartened and gave up when
they saw him faltering, saying to their fellows,

"You’re beating a dead horse."

By this point, any effort was futile. In addition to
engagements on numerous fronts by the Rodent’s armies
and his special forces, they were now under siege on the
left flank and on the right. They also faced the Rodent’s
reinforcements of foreign mercenaries from across the
border, and hostile parties from across the pond.
Still, the gray horse and his followers continued
trudging on to the end. Notwithstanding, in the end they
were finally overwhelmed by enormous packs of Alinskian
rodents which came pouring out from the ACORN where
they had been hiding in wait.

And so it came to pass, that on the last day of the

battle, the Carnivore Rexes succeeded by proxy in their
conquest of the Hill City, by promoting the Rodent and
building a very great army around him. And they
overwhelmed the gray horse and his followers through
treachery, and sheer numbers.

Chapter 11: Bankruptcy
god of gods

In the days that followed after the last battle, the
Rodent was coronated Carnivore in Chief. And upon
assembling his cabinet and staff of carnivores and reptiles,
he immediately set about implementing the change he had
promised. In the beginning, he attempted to do this slyly
and with finesse, hoping to avoid radical appearances of
extremism, so as not to stir up any more resistance than
necessary.
However, when the Rodent perceived that his remaining
adversaries could not be deceived by wolves in sheep’s
clothing, he and his team quickly changed tactics, moving
instead to bully their foes and muscle their agenda.
Indeed, for when the elephant in the room showed
defiance by refusing to forget, he was quickly shut out of
conference, and denied any space.
Neither were any other formidable voices of opposition
allowed to be heard. In fact, a majority of creatures were
actually eager to see what the Rodent would do, and
although they had no idea what the change the Rodent
had spoken of meant, they had been told it was coming,
and that it was good, so they happily accepted it.
By this time, a great many of those inhabiting Liberty
were dazed and confused. Spellbound by the witchcraft
and sorcery of soothsayers, propagandized by Fowl of the
Air, they were collectively as blind as a bat and mindless
as a sloth. No longer were they capable of sound reason or
thinking for themselves; nor could they even smell a rat
any longer. They simply followed whoever, wherever, or
whatever they happened to be caught up in at the time;
even if it led to the slaughterhouse.
Indeed, a countless number of the beasts and creatures
had grown up using potions of enlightenment and other
types of abusive substances. All had become commonplace,
and some were now legally available. Many became
addicted, and quite a number died.
Drunkenness and revelry were also a way of life in the
cities; so much so, the beasts devoted their lives trying to
keep themselves in a constant state of entertainment.
Thus, they indulged themselves in numerous lustful
excesses, vices, and pleasures, eventually to the point
where they no longer knew their right hooves from their
left.
It was not by chance that the nation had fallen into
such a state of apathy and disorientation. It was
detachment by design, induced to manipulate the beasts.
Most of the beasts and creatures by now were asking to be
manipulated. They had been conditioned so that they
would. Indeed; the Carnivore Rexes had long engineered
society to mold the shape of things to come. They were
now ready for the Rodent to step up and do his part.

Henceforth, the Rodent—having been trained by Alenskian
reptiles from his youth, and well rehearsed in his role—
went to work. He knew what the beasts and creatures
desired to hear, for they had itching ears. So he spoke of
hope and change. He spoke of transformation. Yea, he
prophesied visions of a unified planet.
With pleasing words and smooth sayings, the Rodent
enamored the beasts and creatures with flatteries until
they were bound by the chains of his persona.
Only those who had the eye of the eagle were not
deceived by the Rodent’s wiles or taken by his charm.
They knew that his power was not his own, but that of the
flesh-eating Rexes who owned him. And it was indeed the
Rexes who owned him. They purchased his seat and
financed his production.

The timing was perfect; it was a New Age in Ainigma,
the age of personality and cult. Substance had no value;
truth found little space. Celebrity was the new wave;
presentation and illusion, the new power. Therefore,
fleshly desires became gods, and fabricated personas
became idols. And the beasts fell down and worshiped the
graven images of their own imaginations: Yea, they
worshiped themselves. They worshiped lies.

Among all those who idolized the Rodent, there was not
one who worshiped him more than he did. And he believed
with all of his heart in the figment that was created to
promote him. At least for the Rodent, hype and reality
were indistinguishable.
Time and again the crowds heaped praise and
adulation upon the Rodent, and as he basked in the glory
of it, he became greatly magnified in his own sight.
Neither could the Rodent imagine that anyone had ever
been, or would ever again be, greater than he.
In the beginning, his overinflated view of himself had
worked as an asset to the Rodent. Many who saw him,
with his chin held high, watched his movements, and
listened to his speeches, believed in him on account of his
confidence and audacity.
Thus, as he rose to prominence, with each victory came
greater adulation from the masses, and a seemingly god-
like aura emitted from him. It was even said by some that,
in truth, a messiah had come. These sayings along with
others, the Rodent absorbed into his heart and gloated
over until they also saturated his head.

Thereafter, he carried himself about as though he were
the golden calf, a god of gods, the Anointed One.

Even after achieving a number of great victories, the
Rodent’s aspirations were just beginning. Ruling over the
City on the Hill was only one step in his relentless pursuit
of the dreams from his father. His true ambition was to sit
on the throne over all of Ainigma; Thus, he said in his
heart,

"I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne
above the stars: I will sit also upon the mount of
the congregation: I will ascend above the heights of
the clouds; I will be like the Most High."

Chapter 12:
The Purge

Even before the Rodent rose to power, the Creatures of
Conscience perceived the impending danger. Although,
Liberty had long encountered many perils, trials, and
tribulations, Liberty had always prevailed. This time,
however, something was different, something ominous was
in the air.
Fortifying their defenses, the Creatures of Conscience
engraved the Words in the Stone upon their hearts. They
also raised their banner higher, repaired breaches in the
walls, and occupied the watchtowers. As the darkness
pervading the land increased in density, they encouraged
one another daily, and labored devotedly throughout the
night to keep Liberty aglow.
During those days, throughout the whole land, many
testified to hearing a still small voice speaking to their
hearts, asking, "Does thy banner yet wave?"
It was then, many who had been lost among the
multitudes in the Valley of Decision were inspired to come
out. Others followed, rising up from the Valley of Dry
Bones and bringing along with them, those who had
escaped from the Valley of the Shadow of Death.

For many years, the Beacon of Light which illuminated
the City on the Hill had slowly grown dim. Realizing the
dire state of things, the Creatures of Conscience gathered
determining to restore the Light of Liberty to its former
state. Therefore, they began to revive the fire in the lamps
of the beacon, and the lamps grew brighter and were
revived.

When the Rodent saw how the Creatures of Conscience
were regrouping and restoring the old fortifications, his
anger was kindled. Beholding the banner streaming
overhead in the bright glow of the beacon, he read the
words on the banner:

"CONSCIENCE WILL YET DARE"

Taking the loud flapping of the banner as a personal
affront, the Rodent, overflowing in his wrath, became even
more red. It seemed to him as if the flapping banner was
taunting, mocking, and laughing at him in a belligerent
dance of defiance, a dance specifically designed and
purposefully aimed at antagonizing him. Immediately, he
summoned his chief advisers to the War Room to devise
devices of revenge.
Upon diverting enough tax dollars for a counterattack,
he activated teams of activists, strategists, spinsters,
wokesters, pettifoggers, and swamp creatures. Working
vigorously, they developed schemes to change rules and
regulations, set snares, and devise insidious devises that
specifically targeted freedom in Liberty.
To reinforce the War Room, the Fowl of the Air and the
hyenas—who were already crazed in their attacks on the
Creatures of Conscience—were also employed. To them was
given the task of mocking, scoffing, ridiculing, and publicly
depicting the Creatures of Conscience as superstitious
religious fanatics of antiquity. Calling them bigots and
specists, they accused them of being a threat to peace, a
danger to society, and an obstruction to scientific progress.
And with many other deprecating words, they cast upon
them a stigma of ignorance and bigotry.
Every morning, upon receiving their orders, the Fowl
prepared their squwaking points. Then, in coordinated
attacks, the Daily Beasts and creatures of the flesh went
forth to hound, badger, root up, and ferret out the
Creatures of Conscience from Liberty. And the filthy swine
ran after them, hoping to trample their pearls under foot.

It was a mighty force to be reckoned with indeed; for the
Rodent dispatched all his forces in the fury of their offices,
agencies, networks, and organizations—all that could be
mustered.
Together, the Beasts of the Flesh worked arduously day
and night to rid the land of the Creatures of Conscience,
and, as well, to extirpate any influence or remembrance of
them from Liberty. Venomously attacking their culture,
values, beliefs, and character, they cast down their
memorials and erased history. They removed ancient
landmarks which their fathers had set. They also set their
faces to remove the Words in the Stone, and broke the
foundations into pieces. Indeed, for they were furious that
the words had been engraved in the nation’s foundation to
begin with. And they constantly slandered and condemned
those who had laid the foundations.
Using the power of the system, the Beasts of the Flesh
censored, banned, and litigated against the Creatures of
Conscience at every opportunity. Falsely accusing them
with slander, they fabricated lies, set up entrapments, and
filed civil suits and criminal charges. They hauled them in
before deviant judges in kangaroo courts. Some had their
young striped from them. They were fined, removed from
positions, rejected for employment, and even imprisoned.
Others suffered a parade of malicious compassion, where
they were ordered into reeducation classes, sensitivity
training, anger management, or committed to undergo
psychiatric evaluations where they had not the rights of a
criminal.

These things and more the evil beasts did to cow and
shame the Creatures of Conscience and make them a
reproach and a byword before all. For they imagined
eventually ridding society of them.

Ainigma
Chapter 13:
The Carnivore Rexes

Even before the Great Wars of Ainigma, the Carnivore
Rexes had conspired for years to breakdown the walls and
barriers that divided the nations and kingdoms. Having an
appetite that could never be satisfied, they envisioned a
global farm from which no beast or creature could escape.
Only then could they farm the whole planet and eat as
much as they desired of whatever they desired, whenever
they desired it.
Therefore, to this end, they formed societies, forums,
foundations, clubs, groves, and various other organizations
to devise means to bring about a Planet-Farm. It would be
"The Open Conspiracy," a blueprint for a world revolution.
Knowing it would be a very long process, generations in
the making, the Rexes were always recruiting younger
Carnivores to mentor and carry on the work after their
days expired. Therefore, from one generation to the next,
they sought out and embraced the cruelest, most vicious,
ruthless, intelligent, and immoral beasts in Ainigma to be
their protégés.

Thus, from generation to generation, the movement
towards a global farm increased in size and power until
the Carnivore Rexes were on the verge of devouring all
nations and swallowing up all the inhabitants of the world.
Many an opportunity arose for them to achieve their
goals, especially during the Great Wars of Ainigma and in
the days that followed when they helped create Nations-
United. Nevertheless, their end vision proved to be an
elusive one; and it always slipped out of their teeth.
However, times had changed and things were about to
change in their favor.

It was in the period of respite between the two Great
Wars of Ainigma that among the carnivores a newborn
was hatched. At the time, there was nothing particularly
unusual about his birth that would cause anyone to take
special notice, so no one was aware of how great this
hatchling would become or the impact his appetite would
have upon the whole world.
As the years passed, he grew in stature. And as he
grew, he developed a messiah complex and began showing
all the traits of a Carnivore Rexus. He also began
devouring much flesh. And being coldblooded by nature, he
had no compassion in the least for his victims or anyone
other than himself. Indeed, he was known to even eat his
own with delight.

Exceedingly ruthless and cruel, he ate, and ate, and ate,
until he surpassed all other Rexes in size and ambition.
And as he kept growing, he devoured the sustenance of
nations. Therefore, both his name and infamy spread
throughout Ainigma. And all beasts who had not a bird
brain knew him and feared his ferocious appetite.
And when he was fully grown, no one disputed his
notoriety. Tyrantasoros Rex had indeed become the
greatest monster on the planet. And he became
preeminent among the Carnivore Rexes. And the spirit of
Belzub rested upon him, saying,

"Arise and devour much flesh."
Lusting for a multicultural cuisine of diversity, he craved
an Open Society where he could hunt and gorge himself in
the planet-farm. Thus, he embarked on a mission to tear
down walls and borders with the intention of gathering all
kinds and species of beasts and creatures together for a
global feast. He also fought to have the incarcerated wild
beasts released from their cages into the streets.
About him, too, was another wonder. When he was fully
grown, it seemed he still never ceased growing. Thus, in
time, he was so large that his shadow covered much of the
earth, casting a shadow of darkness over all places
whither he went. Thereto, many carnivorous beasts and
creatures of the night were drawn to find a habitation in
the darkness of his shadow. And they did their nefarious
works in the darkness thereof.

Crises, panic, stampedes—these things did Tyrantasoros
cause continuously so as to devour all the wounded beasts
that fell as they fled the stocks. Oft did he enter the
markets to eat those in stocks. By this means, he devoured
much sustenance throughout all the nations and kingdoms
of Ainigma. Yet, for all of this, his appetite was never full.
And he never stopped looking, hunting, and waiting for
the Black Swan that might satisfy his wantonness.
For this reason, Tyrantasoros was greatly invigorated at
the first appearance of the Rodent. For many years, the
Carnivore Rexes sought one who had the charisma to
carry forward their agenda. For although they were
brilliant in their own right, controlling and owning almost
everything, for the most part they were dank, stoic
creatures. Not one of them possessed the charm or the
masteries necessary to persuade the proletariat. Neither
had they been successful in procuring anyone to represent
them who did.
Therefore, when the carnivores saw the Rodent’s
prowess to mesmerize and excite crowds, upon realizing
the compatibility of their agendas, they put fortunes
behind the Rodent to promote him to greatness.
And successful he was indeed, for thereafter, the Rodent
was greatly exalted. But as for the Rodent and the
grandiose production that portrayed him as a god, he
didn’t build that, someone else built it for him.

  Ainigma
Chapter 14:
Plunder

Although the City on the Hill surpassed all those in

Ainigma that had come before, over the years it had
become greatly weakened by corruption. Orchestrating as
many crises as possible, the Great Carnivores increased
their powers and became fat.
On the other claw, the Rexes—as if it were a game of
chess for the whole world—were always assessing,
calculating, and waiting for the precise moment to make a
maneuver—putting things in check one after another.
Financing change-agents, manipulating pawns, moving
kings, queens, and bishops, and taking castles, the Rexus
closed in on the prize.
Certainly, it was not without intent or purpose that the
Great Carnivores and Carnivore Rexes had created a
society of dependents. They were very well aware that if
they could overload the current system with dependents, it
would eventually collapse under its own weight, giving
them an inroad to seize complete control.

And the system was indeed collapsing under the weight
of these devious tactics; yet, the Great Carnivores and
Rexes, along with their allies, especially the ones flying
above watching, were able to contort everything and spin
it around. This did they so effectively that many of the
creatures in Ainigma became very angry whenever
someone did anything right.
Adding to the momentum of the moment, agents of
change were employed within the communities, and
organizers were put in place to recruit and radicalize
groups of activists. Although they appeared on the surface
to have sprouted organically from grassroots, upon closer
inspection, there was always a snake in the grass. Indeed,
and when you followed the green trail, it always led back
to the finances of the Rexes.
Even as the Carnivores overloaded and overbloated the
system to crash it, they received thanks and praise from
all the creatures who thought they were actually being
saved by them in the process.
Step by step, they seized financial institutions and
corporations, creating behemoth monopolies giving them de
facto control of private enterprise. These leviathans
devoured small businesses at an enormous rate until they
were threatened with extinction. Yet, for all this conniving,
they would be lauded and gain support, even from many of
those, who, unwittingly, were themselves being eaten up.

As for the Rodent, he controlled public relations. Like a
chameleon, he changed colors so that wherever he stood on
an issue, he could blend in with it so well that you
couldn’t see where he stood. For this reason, he became
the public face of all things Carnivore. For his true
strength rested in his charismatic demeanor and his
ability to sound reasonable. For he spoke smoothly and in
comfortingly warm, seductive, tones.
On the other claw, the Great Carnivores continuously
shouted, "Crises, crises." Every day brought a new crisis
that demanded immediate action, new controls, and new
powers. Regulating, power grabbing, and confiscating
property, as packs of wolves they viciously attacked those
holding assets. "Wolf! Wolf!" they cried as they devoured
all sectors of society. Hastily, they snatched up the fatted
calf and appointed the fox to guard the hen house.
Wrestling control from the private sector, they muzzled
the ox that treaded out the corn, regulated the corn, and
oppressed the hireling in his wages. Many hirelings gave
up working all together and went on the dole.
They also ordered that tributes be increased and more
taxes be levied. To this end, many new laws were created
and agents were added to collect revenues.
These things were done to keep the herds that were
paying into the system buffaloed while milking them for
all they had. Indeed, not only were their tax rates
increasing, but it seemed every time they turned around,
another bite was taken out of their assets.

Forasmuch as the innumerable governmental and
nongovernmental workers and organizations, demanded to
be fed daily, the ever growing bureaucracy, with all of its
pork barrel projects grew, and unfathomable loans from
foreign lands were necessary to feed them all.
They were also forced into counting their chickens before
they hatched, even while failing to deal with the older
ones that were now coming home to roost. Thereafter, the
deficits accrued from foreign loans became astronomical.

Dismayed by the insatiable appetites of the Great

Carnivores, foreign debt holders became anxious and
began to curtail their loans to the Hill Kingdom. It was
obvious; repayment was a virtual impossibility until the
cows came home.
In spite of all of this, the Great Carnivores, who were
still living high on the hog, continued to add more pork to
the budget. Consequently, the deficits grew so large that to
repay them would require not only all of the producing
creatures' flesh but also the flesh of their children and
that of their children’s children. Still, even then, it would
not be enough, no matter how much they beefed up
revenues.

As these policies ran their course, the golden goose died
and the nest egg ceased. The cash cow faced extinction as
well, along others added to the endangered species list,
whose natural habitats had been destroyed by government
intervention.

And so it came to pass: the herds and flocks were
scattered upon the hills and disappeared as the earth
became hard and its surface cracked; the leaves of the
trees withered, and the grassy knolls turned brown.
Prosperity in the once flourishing Hill Kingdom also, like
the snail upon a rock in the heat of the noonday sun,
began drying up as it evaporated into nothing.

Chapter 15:
Treason

It was the nature of the beast—so to speak—that the

policies the Rodent embraced would have had such
catastrophic consequences. Nevertheless, as the Kingdom
on the Hill rapidly fell into an atrophic state of disrepair,
the Rodent seemed at best merely amused by the fact that
his economic plan was a disaster. Some went so far as to
say he was pleased and his policies were intentionally
designed to fail, for they could have been no more
successful in achieving failure if such were the case.
As conditions in the kingdom continued to steadily
deteriorate, the Rodent called for increasing stimuli and
ambitiously stepped up government intervention to provide
assistance. When aid was distributed, however, it was
given to select groups that were to later kickback a
percentage into personal campaigns.
Furthermore, the Rodent took from the treasuries of the
Hill Kingdom and gave great gifts to those abroad in other
lands for whom he showed a preference—even the Beasts of
Belzub who dwelt in the Crescent Valley, for whom he also
emptied the kingdom’s arsenals to equip them.

He also opened the cages of captivity and released
murderous flesh eaters, while allowing others to freely
cross over the borders, where they were provided
sanctuary and support. He removed what remained of the
iron gates also, allowing wild beasts from other kingdoms
to come and go as they pleased. The coyotes ran rampant.
Thus, the kingdom was overrun, and being corrupted, it
fell into disarray. All of these things did the Rodent,
because he cared not about Liberty, nor about the sheep
being led to the slaughter. Indeed, it was by design that
he drained the Hill Kingdom of its wealth and power to
rebuild in its place a symbol of his own glory and power:
The Community.

Despite all of the disasters that had subsequently
followed the Rodent's policies, the Fowl remained captives
in the cages of his persona. Regardless of anything he did,
their faith was unshaken, even by self evident truth.
Therefore, they adamantly attacked others blaming
them for all the ills befalling the kingdom. Meanwhile,
they lauded the Rodent for his calm demeanor and
handling of the countless catastrophes that were coming
about under his leadership. Indeed, they only became
increasingly emphatic in their praise of the Rodent as the
outlook  worsened.

Abroad, global affairs were hardly any better. For many
years, the kingdoms around Mount Zio had been divided
and fought among themselves. It was the Rodent’s hope
that he might take advantage of the turmoil to redirect
their hostilities.
Seeking to forge allies with the kingdoms opposed to
Mount Zio, he attempted to undermine the leadership of
Zio. That, however, would not be possible without regime
changes. Therefore, under the counsel of the Reptiles, a
plan was devised called the "Zabel Spring" to do just that.
As it turned out, it would be a very short spring indeed.
Civil war, bloodshed, genocide, and every other evil
followed. As death and destruction swept across the land,
the terrified beasts and creatures that inhabited those
regions fled for their lives.

Tyrantasoros Rex, who was always keen to all things
taking place, watched attentively with much exuberance.
Chaos, bloodshed, and death, was a Rexes’ dream come
true—a truly great crisis not at all in the least to be
wasted. Immediately, all the Carnivore Rexes and their
hatchlings united and employed their forces to take
advantage.
Engaging in a facade of compassion, they quickly began
relocating innumerable hordes of the wild beasts into the
West, where they would dilute, pollute, recruit, and uproot
values, customs, laws, and the truth. And indeed, they did
just that. Virtually destroying borders, the nations were
overwhelmed. Reeling to and fro like drunken galoots,
western nations began visually collapsing in slow motion.
All these things were harbingers of the Days of
Consequences. Still, there were even greater things to
follow.

Chapter 16:
The Turning

As the time drew neigh for the Rodent to step down
from the throne—as required by the Law of Limits—his
heart was filled with bitterness. Although he had found
success in advancing his agenda, he had failed to attain
his personal ambition at the highest level. He was not
done. At once, he called in his staff and gave them their
orders.

In the meantime, the Leopard had returned from licking
her wounds. Speaking shibboleths for almost eight years,
she had, in bitterness of spirit, tried to feign loyalty to the
Rodent. Now, a new day was dawning. Finally, her time
had come.
Again, the Leopard set out to hide her spots, even bit
bleaching some. However, even then, she still could not
change her spots or rid herself of them. Nonetheless, she
considered herself fast enough to run and win. And indeed
she was, for she handily won the nomination, no matter
how often she lost primaries.

On the opposite front, a battle was brewing among those
who sought the right to oppose the Leopard for the throne.
Liberty had suffered greatly under the Rodent, and there
was a real concern that the Leopard would finish off what
little remained. It seemed, however, that among those who
came seeking the right to contend against her, there was
not one among them that was persuasive, although they
all came making the claim they were able to lead.
As they came, so they fell almost as quickly as they
came. Not one brought enthusiasm.
By and by came forth one who said, "I come to make
Liberty great again!" He was noticeably different from the
others, and it was that phrase, which he repeated often,
that resonated with a great number of beasts and
creatures, who soon turned their attention to him.

He was a large Orangutan, somewhat orangish in color,
and a bit taller than the rest. And when he stood upright,
not only did he stand out in appearance, but he spoke like
no other. Paradoxically, he was crude and yet refined;
brutish and yet wise; ruthlessly frank but showing concern
for those who needed a helper.
Notwithstanding, the one thing that stood out above all
the other attributes of the Orangutan, was that he had the
jawbone of an ass. And it was with this jawbone that he
slew his enemies. Heap upon heap, he slew them, and
though many tried to destroy him, none could prevail
against his jawbone. For this reason, many beasts and
creatures fell before him, while many others embraced him
for it.
But the Orangutan was an omnivore and had a rumored
past of indulging in flesh. Therefore, many herbivores
were wary of him and stood afar off. Indeed, it was this
distrust that threatened his success. Realizing the
weakness of support for him on this matter, the Creatures
of Life came and spoke to those that chewed the cud,
saying,

"Hearken, O ye herbivores; consider the steaks.

Although your fear of being eaten later is indeed
understandable, seeing how that you know not
what the omnivore will do. Consider this, you do
know of a certainty what the Leopard will do. She
will eat you now."
This gave pause to the herbivores, who considered the
point indisputable and so joined the Orangutan’s base.
Others came to follow him also, not so much because they
believed in the Orangutan, but because they believed in
his jawbone, for it was huge and spoke exaggerated things
that smote their enemies, so they too entered into his
ranks.
Thus, the Orangutan gathered a considerable force, and
when the trump sounded, they assembled in formation and
marched into the battle to face the Leopard.

So they fought, and it came to pass that as the final
battle approached, the Fowl on the air began crowing
loudly. For months now, they had been going insanely
cuckoo; screeching incessantly, they never let up for one
moment in their attacks on the Orangutan. Still, there
was no doubt in their minds that the Leopard would eat
the Orangutan for lunch.

It was late in the evening, on the very last day of the
battle, that as the numbers casualties came pouring in, it
became shockingly clear: the Leopard was bleeding
profusely and suffering great losses. Indeed, with each
new report, it became more evident that the battle would
be over much sooner than anyone thought possible.
Critically wounded, while it was still yet dark, the
Leopard crawled back into her lair in disbelief. Beholding
this, hordes of doleful creatures lamented and cried aloud
in agony. Weeping and wailing with gnashing of teeth,
staffers covered their faces in shame.
Her allies, also stunned in disbelief, were frozen in a
state of paralysis from the jawbone upward; they could
hardly speak, if at all. Shock, however, soon turned into
depression, and depression turned into anger, and anger
into an ever growing hysteria that became a delirium of
hate from that day forward.
The Fowl, still on the air, tried to maintain their
composure after being publicly humiliated for having
perched themselves on rotten polls. They spoke in troubled
tones that sounded like eulogies at their own funerals.

As for the Orangutan, in the days that followed, he
became stronger, and his followers multiplied in number
until they became an even greater multitude. Indeed, for
he commenced by setting out to drain the swamp and to
do the things he said he would do. And those who stood in
his path, he slew with the jawbone in his mouth, and they
became road kill.
Thereafter, his enemies also multiplied and became
more psychotic; many, many creatures came out of the
swamp to wage war when they realized their natural
habitat was threatened and they were at risk of becoming
endangered species.
In crazed attacks, along with the Carnivores and Fowl,
the Swamp Creatures, tried desperately to destroy the
Orangutan every single minute of every single day.
Nonetheless, standing his ground immovably, the
Orangutan beat them down, one by one—a thousand in one
day, heap upon heap—with the jawbone of an ass.
And so it was; that as the Orangutan fought, he
prevailed, again, and again, and again and again. And
close at his side was his companion in war—a little, small
bird that went with him whithersoever he went. And as he
went, the little bird tweeted out his words for him.
Whither he went, there went the little bird also. And
without the little bird, he went not. For this reason, the
Orangutan’s enemies hated the little small bird and his
tweets, even as much as they hated his jawbone. Indeed,
on numerous occasions, they sought to kill or cage the
little bird to stop his tweets, but his time had not yet
come.

In the swamp also was much ado. Crawling with every
slimy creature and poisonous reptile, never before had the
swamp grown to be a habitation for so many. Longtime
had the denizens of the swamp thrived without
interruption. Now, however, for the very first time, the
swamp was in real danger of being drained.
Moonstruck, the swamp creatures scurried off into the
shadows to hide themselves. Others, realizing they were
being exposed, froze in place and fiercely opened their
mouths wide brandishing their teeth. A most vicious fight
over the status of the swamp ensued.

Carefully and thoughtfully, Deep Swamp schemed
schemes, devised devices, and laid snares to the end that
they could destroy the Orangutan and his allies. They also
sent out moles which burrowed in among them and feigned
insurrection. Anyone who was deemed a threat or who
might provide useful information to the public was put
under constant surveillance. Smear campaigns ensued, and
the slimiest swamp creatures that gathered information
were tasked with leaking the sewage and oozing out muck.

Chapter 17:
Counter Offensive

As soon as the Orangutan took the seat of power, and

with him his companion, the little small bird, he quickly
went to work to make Liberty great again. At breakneck
speed, he set out to undo all the things the Rodent had
done. And he also did the other things he said he would
do. Never before had a commander done so much in such a
short space of time.
Opening the wilderness, the Orangutan gave access to
the beasts and creatures. He struck down multitudes of
bureaucratic regulations that were destroying industry,
commerce, and jobs. Laboring arduously to mend the
breaches and protect the country, he sought to control
borders and build walls. The iron gates, which had been
let open, he began closing. These things, and many other
things, he did quickly.

Watching these things and seeing his own work being
undone, the Rodent was furious. Nevertheless, for the
most part he tried to maintain his composure and restrain
himself to avoid any appearance of bitterness. Besides, he
had already laid a trap to deal with the situation before he
relinquished power. He would wait for Deep Swamp to do
the dirty work.
Not so with the other beasts. The Carnivores went ape,
going directly to the courts. The Fowl, became exceedingly
foul. Blind as a bat to the truth, they fabricated lies and
fake news to destroy the Orangutan.
Being moonstruck, the Hyenas barked incessantly and
could not be shut up. But it was not Liberty alone that
was marked for destruction. Every place in every part of
Ainigma where Conscience resided was under assault. The
Rexes and all other Carnivores knew quite well that the
only path to absolute power was to destroy Conscience.
Indeed, as long as there was Conscience, there would be
no Planet-Farm. For this reason, they hated Liberty where
Conscience was followed.

Just as troubling to the Rexes, was the situation with

Mount Zio. From the very day that Mount Zio was reborn,
the Rexes sought to destroy it. Yea, even before that day,
they had fought to stop it from ever coming to be. Indeed,
for the Rexes knew quite well that Mount Zio’s strong self
identity would prove to be as great an obstacle as Liberty
in fulfilling Agenda 3.0.
Thus, from the outset, a stigma of illegitimacy was cast
upon Mount Zio to ostracize the nation. Therefore, many
nations and kingdoms stood aloof and practiced social
distancing from Mount Zio to avoid exposure. Liberty, to
the contrary, had, for the most part, been supportive of
Mount Zio from its inception. Nonetheless, when it came
to recognition of the capital city, there was always great
hesitation to make it official, even though there had been
a resolution in place for years requiring that such action
be taken.

When the Orangutan saw the hypocrisy of other nations

social distancing from the city, he ripped off the mask of
fake moral equivalency and officially recognized the chief
city as the capitol. Removing the mask was a breath of
fresh air for Mount Zio; but it grieved the Rexes greatly
and enraged the Beast of Belzub even far beyond the
Crescent Valley.
Undeterred by their tantrum, the Orangutan began
pouring salt into their wounds by also canceling secret
deals the Rodent made with the Beasts of Belzub under
the table.

In the meantime, other perils were in the making.
Eastward, the Great Bear, which seemed at one point to
be an endangered specie, was reviving and coming out of
hibernation. Allowed to roam freely, he began restoring his
old habitat. Beside him, the Giant Panda, also considered
endangered at one point, was seeking gain and increasing
in power.
For many years, the nations had been bamboozled by
the Giant Panda into believing he was a harmless vegan.
Now, however, as his habitation was expanding, so was
his menu. At first, he began devouring those among his
own in his own land. Thereafter, having acquired a taste
for exotic flesh, he began wandering beyond his own
territory. Nonetheless, the Orangutan was not bamboozled
in the least by the Panda or the Bear.

Ainigma
Chapter 18:
Coup d'état

Although the Orangutan had always been under attack
from the start, in the beginning it had not been so
insanely intense. None of his enemies took him seriously
as a threat at that point, and with scorn and contempt he
was simply dismissed. Surely the Leopard would dispose of
him, should he even make it that far.
But then the unthinkable happened. One by one, the
Orangutan dispatched his Rino opponents, and in the end,
he had easily vanquished the Leopard. This, of course,
could not stand.
Thereafter, throughout Ainigma the beasts were much
divided. Even the bears in the arctic were polarized.
However, no place were the beasts and creatures more at
odds than in Liberty where strife was threatening a
national schism.

On the other paw, the Rodent, as always when there
was dirty work to do, turned to Deep Swamp to dig up
mud. Indeed, he had already put an insurance policy in
place to cover any damages the Orangutan might cause,
and the Federal Beasts of Investigation had been on the
case from the get go.
Upon receiving their instructions, the reptiles in Deep
Swamp responded immediately by casting enchantments
upon the ocean and conjuring up a Crossfire Hurricane to
destroy the Orangutan. As the waves began crashing
ashore, they increased into a portent of a tsunami. And
the Fowl continuously preached a message of fear.
Certainly the storm would carry him away, they thought.
In the meantime, the Rodent maintained his composure
publicly, only snapping at the Orangutan on occasion when
he could not restrain himself. Surely, soon the waves
would overflow and drown the Orangutan.
Nevertheless, as the storm ran its course and began to
peter out, the Orangutan was still standing. Furthermore,
he prevailed against all the other waves from subsequent
storms that were conjured up to remove him, no matter
how Stormy.

As the storms began to pass without success, the Rodent

was now starting to grow anxious. Thereafter, he came out
of his hole more often to attack the Orangutan. He also
lashed out at the Creatures of the Day.
Meanwhile, the Carnivore Rexes and Great Carnivores,
nearing their wits' end, had yet another machination of
last resort. Howbeit, it was not without great risks, should
they be discovered.
First, they would openly challenge the Orangutan for
the throne. Herein, however, there was a serious obstacle.
After having a number of Great Carnivores seek the top
spot, they could not find one among them that exhibited
enough competence or sanity. Not one possessed anywhere
near the skill of the Rodent. Neither would any of them be
able to stand before the jawbone of the Orangutan, or the
little small bird.
With no good options, the Great Carnivores finally
settled upon the Sloth, simply because he had been
hanging around the swamp longer than anyone could
remember and was well known. Such being the case, they
knew if victory were to be at all possible, it would all come
down to Deep Swamp shenanigans.

Working secretly with many powerful allies, inside and
out, the Beast of the Flesh put forth a series of stratagems
whereby they might take power by coup d'état. It would be
an invisible conspiracy like none other before it, but even
then they were aware the only certainty of victory was in a
successful cover-up afterward. So they made all things
ready.
The Fowl of the Air were already on their side, and the
Master Spiders of Ainigma had been spinning the web for
years. Moreover, by now, they controlled almost everything,
or were at the very least, confederate with almost all of
those who did.

And so it came to pass that the Carnivore Rexus, the
Great Carnivores, Deep Swamp and all of the Beasts of
the Flesh united, and the battle was enjoined against the
Orangutan and his army.
And the Sloth and his armies also fought. Day after day,
the Orangutan and his troops prevailed, while the Sloth,
along with his armies, were scattered and hardly
anywhere to be found.
Day after day, night after night until finally, deep into
the last night of the final battle, even though he lost, the
Sloth prevailed victoriously to win the crown and was
given power to sit upon the throne over the kingdom.
Come the next morning, when the creatures arose,
many of them who dwelt in Liberty were in shock,
confounded as to how it could so be. Nonetheless, by now,
too many of the inhabitants of Liberty didn’t really care
what happened, or realize that they should care what
happened, or even realize that anything had happened.

After the fall of the Orangutan, a number of his troops

were rounded up and cast into prison. In short order, the
little small bird was also caged and thereafter, it was
determined that he should be either executed or sentenced
to life.
Notwithstanding, the Musk ox came forth to his rescue
and broke his shackles allowing him to escape the snare of
the fowler and fly the coop. Thereafter, the little small
bird went his own way throughout all lands, tweeting his
tweets as he went, and with his tweets he did tell the
matter.

In the mean time, what was obviously apparent from
the beginning to most, was now becoming impossible for
even his most ardent supporters to deny. The Sloth was
moving way, way, way too slowly. Neither could his mind
keep up with his mouth anymore, nor, his mouth with his
mind. For his mind was always lagging behind his mouth,
and his mouth was constantly rambling off by itself
without his mind. They were becoming strangers and
hardly saw each other any longer.
As more time passed, the Sloth was moving so slowly,
some surmised he was playing opossum; others wondered
whether he was still yet alive. To the dismay of many,
however, the Sloth was indeed alive and was sitting on the
throne, whether he knew it or not.

On the other paw, the Rodent, having worked closely
with the Sloth, had been well aware of his deteriorating
cognitive skills all along. Once it became clear that the
Sloth would become king, and having realized the void in
the Sloth's head presented a great opportunity, the Rodent
seized upon the occasion and immediately went to work to
fill the vacuum.
Thereafter, the Rodent took the sloth for his pet and kept
him close on a leash. From that time on, he was able to
accomplish far, far more than he ever dreamed of when he
sat in power. Of course, there would be no glory as of yet,
but there would be no personal accountability either. He
would have free reign to do whatsoever he pleased.

On the other claw, the Great Carnivores, being
exceedingly embarrassed by their new leader, sought to
hide the Sloth. Finally, being forced to bring him out on
occasion because of his prolonged absences, they often had
to stop the Sloth while he was yet speaking and whisk him
out of sight.
Indeed, more often than not, wherever the sloth went, it
became a zoo. His supporters feigned that there was
nothing to see at the zoo, while the Fowl of the Air
constantly tried to cover up his mindlessness. However,
with his foot constantly in his mouth, his slothfulness
could not be hidden. Moreover, to make matters worse, the
Sloth kept moving slower, and slower, and slower, as he
was seemingly coming to a complete halt.

Notwithstanding, the Rodent, merely shaking his head
with a grin, stayed in the background, anxiously waiting,
watching, and calculating each move while lurking in the
shadows as he laughed at the foolishness of the masses.

Ainigma
Chapter 19:
Chaos

In the meantime, the Great Bear had been carefully
reassessing the situation in Liberty and was moving slowly
and strategically to take advantage. The Giant Panda, on
the other paw, sensing opportunity, was outwardly showing
more ambition and a greater territorial appetite.
However, during this time, a pestilence began spreading
throughout the Panda’s habitat. There was great mystery
surrounding the origins of the event, but when an ever
increasing number of beasts and creatures perished as the
silent death spread, it could no longer be hidden.
Even so, the Carnivore Rexes were pleased and rejoiced
at the prospects of what this might bring about. Long had
they waited in anxious anticipation, itching to unleash the
Gates of Hell. And indeed, it was from the Gates of Hell
that those came forth who began pushing predictions of
mass extinction, while claiming to have the remedy.
Terrified by the hysterical narratives espoused by Dr.
Fishy, the beasts and creatures of Ainigma panicked and
bought up all the toilet paper in the land. The moment
had come. Finally, after so long a wait, the Rexes felt a
strong wind at their backs as the spirit of Belzub pressed
them forward.

Throughout all the nations and kingdoms of Ainigma,
the ambitious Carnivores in power met the news of the
pestilence with joyful exuberance. It would be a most
wonderful crisis that certainly would not be wasted.
Meanwhile, back in Liberty, after determining that the
beasts and creatures should not be allowed to congregate,
the Carnivores forced lockdowns to keep them shut up in
their stalls. Still, the Creatures of Conscience rebelled and
the Gates of hell did not prevail against them.
Even so, the Great Carnivores demanded that all be
muzzled, except for the hordes of Alinskian Rodents and
Chazmanian devils, whom they blessed. These gathered in
the streets, without hindrance, violently destroying
whatever they could. There, too, the packs of rabid wolves
ran about erratically, threatening the sheep.

Imagining themselves gods, the Beasts of the Flesh took

over city blocks, demanding that all bow the knee and
kneel before them. With guilt trips, they pulled the wool
over the sheep’s eyes and led them to the slaughter. Some
sheep followed willingly, flogging themselves while
repetitiously bleating for the forgiveness of their sins as
they went.
To make matters worse, the Carnivores also ordered
that commerce be shut down to hamper self-sufficiency.
Indeed, this was an opportunity to force the Creatures of
Conscience to kneel. Nevertheless, the Creatures of
Conscience remained standing.

Most certainly, it was an unusually tumultuous time. For
years, the Great Carnivores and Fowl prodded the beasts,
seeking to provoke them to violence. The Serpents had
been eating the brains of the youth until there was little
cognizance left. Thus, being deprived of their sanity, all
that remained were emotions, which, the Serpents were
experts at manipulating.

Revolution and mayhem were entering the doorway;
behind them, poverty, bondage, and death were pressing
hard to follow afterwards. The fate of Liberty was
teetering in the balance.
In anguish and with great trepidation, many of the
beasts and creatures wondered out loud: "What is to
become of Liberty? Will the nation ever again rise to its
former power and glory?" Quoth the raven, "Nevermore!"
And the winds of Belzub blew strenuously, day and
night, into all four corners of Ainigma. It was the Age of
the BEAST.

Ainigma
Chapter 20:
The Moment of Truth

And so it came to pass, at the End of the Ages, Liberty
was an abyss of immorality, and Ainigma a vortex of
iniquity. Still, all in all, the Carnivore Rexus remained
stoic even as millennia of failed ambitions were finally
being accomplished.
In every quarter, chaos and lawlessness prevailed. The
beasts and creatures turned on one another, kings
threatened kings with mass destruction, even nature had
turned against nature, and the very foundations of the
planet were trembling and shaking.

Yet, in the midst of it all, another astonishing
occurrence began to take place. Although it had seemed a
long time coming—from the beginning, many believed it
was inevitable—now, it was here. Even on the Hill, it was
inescapably apparent.
Before the Rodent’s coronation, his head seemed
obviously too small for the crown. However, as time
passed, his head became too big for it. There was much
uncertainty as to how this came about, since it seemed
there never was a time when the crown fit him properly—
although his promoters always proclaimed it a perfect fit.
It also became obvious with the passage of time that as
his head grew larger, his tail became shorter. Also, his
very sharp teeth, which before were hidden, these began to
show so that he could conceal them no longer.
Particularly noticeable, however, was the change in his
aura. The radiant halo that seemed to glow over him in
the beginning, now appeared as a blurry rainbow of turbid
hues. And his new clothes began to waxed old as they
became tattered, revealing his nakedness.
As this transmutation continued to unfold, his demeanor
too was changed; and though he tried to speak audaciously
as before, he stumbled over words with incoherency.
Moreover, his reverberating speeches from the past,
became mere echoes of his nothingness; and almost
everything the Rodent said or did seemed reactionary or a
misstep.

Gathering to behold this wonderment, the beasts and
creatures stood silently. Gazing upon him frightfully, they
stared narrowly at him in astonishment saying one to
another: Is this the one that made the earth to tremble,
that did shake kingdoms; that made the world as a
wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof?
It was then that his heart began speaking audibly
before them all, although his mouth vehemently denied the
things his heart was saying.
Still, a few remained by his side, holding steadfast in
their attempts to excuse or ignore this, feigning as though
nothing was happening. This too would pass.

As seasons changed, came the harvest. When reaping
began, the last straw broke the camel’s back. Thereafter,
the truth became painfully apparent to almost everyone.
Then the throngs that had gathered around the Rodent in
the beginning were disillusioned.
Taken aback, they began to scatter and wander away in
bewilderment. Henceforth, even many who could not tell it
before now saw the Rodent for the small and naked,
skinny little red weasel that he was.

When the Fowl of the Air saw him floundering, they

hastily flew to his rescue with many words to prop him
up. By now, however, no one believed them any longer.
The fate of the dodo had become their reward.
Confusion, disorientation, and hysteria took hold upon
them; fear mastered them. Bats in the belfry maintained
greater cognizance and displayed more sanity than they.
Their cage had become the habitation of every unclean and
hateful bird.
Henceforth, only those who remained with the Rodent
were those who had sold themselves out. Only the
lemmings followed him whole heatedly. This marked the
end of the Rodent’s power; shortly thereafter, his place
would know him no more. Still, time remained for a time.

As the Age of Recompense emerged, the great power of
the Hill Kingdom was broken. Thereafter, massive
destruction befell the kingdoms throughout Ainigma,
bringing confusion, anarchy, and death. Those who
remained in cities suffered immensely and were sorely
distressed.
When the beasts in all the kingdoms of Ainigma
realized the point of no return had been crossed, they
feared greatly and began to distrust one another. "Every
beast for himself!" they cried. Covenants were broken, and
treaties crumbled. For in their hatred, lust, and envy, they
could not comprehend that the peace and stability upon
which all the kingdoms of Ainigma were dependent, rested
upon the goodness of Conscience and the Words in the
Stone.

And so it came to be, that as the Beasts of Ainigma
fought against and devoured one another, fear reigned,
chaos spread, and destruction domineered. Wars and
rumors of wars, lawlessness, starvation, genocide, and
plagues became normal; and the beasts and creatures
began disappearing from the planet.
Then also, the kingdoms gathered together against the
Lion of Mount Zio to destroy the Lion and divide his land.
And the Lion of Mount Zio let out a tremendous roar. All
of Ainigma shook violently. At this, the Great Carnivores
and the wild beasts trembled greatly; for there was an
immense earthquake felt throughout Ainigma, and the
cities of their kingdoms fell.
The great walls of the Kingdom on the Hill also gave
way, for nothing remained of the foundational stones.
Neither were the blocks of clay that replaced them of any
value. Lacking true substance, they crumbled to dust
under the weight placed upon them; and many of the
inhabitants of the kingdom were crushed beneath the
stones.

Notwithstanding, the walls around Mount Zio fell not.
Neither did the walls reconstructed from the broken Word-
Stones which the Creatures of Conscience had gathered
after the foundations were destroyed. These withstood all
and served to protect and shield them from the falling
debris. And atop the colossal Beacon of Light, the flames
of the great lamps burned still.
And so it came to pass that in Ainigma, lawlessness
became the law and chaos became king over all of those
outside of Word-Stone walls. For as the Fowl of the Air
were devoured, the mocking bird ceased and the raven was
nevermore. The jackals howled. The Beasts of Belzub
raged, and the Great Carnivores made war.
Meanwhile, the keen senses of the Reptiles drove them
to absolute madness as they scurried frantically, back and
forth, to and fro, in search of places to hide themselves
under rocks or in cracks and crevices of the crags; but they
found no sanctuary.

Thereafter, there was unrest throughout Ainigma, and
all of the wild beasts were in anguish and bitterness of
spirit. They fought one kingdom against another, among
themselves, and against the Creatures of Conscience and
the Lion they waged war.
But the Lion of Mount Zio and the Creatures of
Conscience withstood them and fought back. Neither did
they cease from fighting until the morning broke, Light
appeared, Darkness fled, and Conscience returned with all
his host of armies.

Afterward

In chapter eleven of the book of Genesis, it is written
that all the people of the world were at one time, one
people, speaking one language, in one place. According to
the writings of Flavius Josephus, as one people, they set
up a ruler named Nimrod who determined to remove the
fear of God from society and taught the people they should
rely solely upon themselves for security and prosperity.
Over time, this kingdom became a tyranny under the rule
of Nimrod; it was Satan’s kingdom on earth.
It was then that the people were divided and scattered
throughout the earth; to the end they would become many
nations, and their united effort to overthrow God would
cease. God made the determination that mankind was not
to be ONE; for to be ONE without God is to be evil. The
world will never choose to be ONE under God. For this
reason, God chooses his own out of the world to be ONE in
him.
Absent God, Oneness is the totalitarian temptation. The
determination to reject God in order to be God, with the
ambition to conquer all in order to rule all. From the
earliest kingdoms and ancient empires, to religion-states,
to imperialism, colonialism, fascism, communism, and all
other "one-world...isms" it has always been there.
It remains still: the aspiration of Satan to rule over all
mankind by his spirit in mankind.

The conflict of the past is the conflict of the present, for
the past is the present. The battle of our time is one
where those who aspire to the power of a collective world
strive against those who cling to the God given rights of
the individual.
It is a battle that pits those who value life against those
who show little to no regard for any life outside of their
own. It is a struggle for the freedom to pursue your
destiny, rather than having destiny thrust upon you by
those who, out of their own desire, wish to arbitrarily
determine what good is and force it upon everyone else.
The present battle in our world is waged by spiritually
carnivorous human beings. These selfish brute beasts
devour others and indulge themselves at the expense of
others in vain attempts to satisfy their own insatiable
appetites, whether those appetites are emotional,
monetary, or sensual.
They strive against those who refuse to profit or find
pleasure in the exploitation of others. These are men and
women of Conscience, who resist inordinate cravings and
will do no harm to the innocent simply because they can
imagine themselves gaining something by doing so.

Speaking in a literal sense, Solomon said, that concerning
the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest
them, and that they might see that they themselves are
beasts.
We can learn much by observing the many things God
created. God created beasts, creatures, and every living
thing. He gave them their characteristics, habits, instincts,
and nature. He divided the clean beasts from the unclean.

The natural man, dead to the spirit of God is an
unclean beast.
Man that is in honor, and understands not, is like the
beasts that perish. – Psalm 49:20

A Godless world is the Beast.
As in the beginning, the rule of man began at Babel as
the rule of One: Satan. So shall it be also at the
conclusion of all things present. The visions of the prophet
Daniel, and the Revelation of St. John attest to this.

That which is, is that which shall be, and that
which is now, it has already been.
Ultimately, the Kingdom of God will appear as
promised. God will divide the spiritual man from the
carnal man, which, by nature is a beast. Then will the
children of the Spirit be one with God: for God is One: The
Holy One. But Satan and his kingdom of Beasts shall be
cast into the fiery abyss, forever.
