Happy New Year! We are filled with excitement and hope for what's to come.
S2- If you care for your family, you want the best ingredients in their food. But the
multiple 'healthy and organic' options available in the market often confuse you. Let
us ease your hassle!
S3- Consider these elements when you shop for your next pack of ghee
S3- Ingredients:
1 cup basmati rice
2 cups water
1 tablespoon Glocal ghee
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 bay leaf
1 cinnamon stick
2 green cardamom pods
1/2 teaspoon salt
S4- Instructions:
1. Rinse the rice well in a fine-mesh strainer and set aside.
2. In a medium saucepan, heat the ghee over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds,
bay leaf, cinnamon stick, and cardamom pods and cook for about 30 seconds, until
fragrant.
3. Add the rice and salt to the saucepan and stir well to coat the rice in the ghee
and spices.
S5-
4. Add the water and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and cover the
saucepan with a lid.
5. Simmer for about 20 minutes, until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender.
6. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the rice sit for about 10 minutes,
covered, to allow the flavours to meld.
7. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs or spices if
desired. Enjoy!
S1- What differentiates organic turmeric from the usual one?
S3- Nutrient content: Organic turmeric contains more beneficial nutrients because
of being grown in healthier soil, while conventional turmeric is lower in these
nutrients.
S4- Environmental impact: The production of organic turmeric supports sustainable
agriculture and helps to protect the environment, while conventional turmeric may
have a negative impact on the environment.
S5- Health benefits: Organic turmeric provides more health benefits, thanks to its
higher nutrient content, while the use of synthetic chemicals in the ususal turmeric
may have negative and long-term health effects.
S6- Taste and flavour: Organic turmeric has a richer and more flavorful taste, while
conventional turmeric is less flavorful.
S1 -Simple, flavorful, and satisfying, this Golden Milk recipe is perfect for any
night of the week. S2- Golden milk, also known as turmeric milk, is a traditional
Indian beverage that is made with milk and turmeric. S3- The recipe for golden milk
typically includes the following ingredients:
1 cup of milk
1 teaspoon of Glocal turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper
1 tablespoon of honey
S4- Heat the milk in a saucepan over medium heat until it is warm. Add the
turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, and black pepper, and stir to combine. Let the mixture
simmer for a few minutes, then remove it from the heat and stir in the honey. Serve
the golden milk warm.
S3- The Bilona Method is a traditional method of extracting ghee from butter. It
originated in Rajasthan and is still used by many ghee makers in India today.
S4- To make ghee using the Bilona method, we first melt the butter over a low
flame. S5- The pot is then sealed with a lid and left to simmer for several hours.
This allows the water and impurities in the butter to evaporate, leaving behind pure,
clarified ghee.
S6- The ghee is then strained to remove any remaining solids, and the resulting
liquid is collected
S1- A few ideas for incorporating Glocal turmeric into your daily diet:
S2- Add a pinch to your morning smoothie or juice for a boost of flavor and nutrition.
S2- Lakadong turmeric is grown in the Jaintia Hills district of the Indian state of
Meghalaya.
S3- It is known for its high curcumin content which is 7 to 12% while regular
turmeric has 2 to 3%
S4- High curcumin gives it a deep, rich colour and potent health benefits.
S2- Organic ghee, made from organic butter, is better than other fats for a few
reasons.
S3- First, organic ghee is free from synthetic pesticides and fertilizers, which are
commonly used in non-organic farming and can be harmful to both the environment
and human health.
S3- Second, organic ghee is a rich source of fat-soluble vitamins and fatty acids,
which are essential for good health. They are easily absorbed by the body.
S4- Third, organic ghee is made using traditional methods that retain more of the
ghee's natural flavour and nutrients. So, it often has a richer, more complex flavour
than non-organic ghee.
