Mathematical models can help understand how infections spread through communities and the conditions needed to eliminate or sustain them. COVID-19 first emerged in Wuhan, China in December 2019, and has since infected nearly 4 million people across 187 countries, killing approximately 295,000. This crisis has struck on a global scale, affecting all human activities, and is expected to impact the world for an unknown but prolonged period of at least 18 months, making it a systemic crisis rather than just a health issue. A holistic approach is needed to address the complex human system challenges posed by COVID-19 over an extended time frame.

Mathematical model are useful to understand the behavior of
an infection when it enters a community and investigate under which conditions it will be wiped out or continued. Currently, COVID-19 is of great concern to researches, governments, and all people because of high rate infection spread and the significant number of deaths that occoured. In December 2019 coronavirus first reported in Wuhan, China. Coronavirus-confirmed cases reached nearly four million in 187 countries, approximately 295000 people have lost their lives. Two characteristics of the COVID-19 crisis are striking: first, its extent in space, second its extent in time. This crisis is indeed going to have impact during an unknown, but probably prolonged period of 18 months or longer, affecting all activities on Earth, which makes it a systemic crisis and not only a simple health crisis. The closest analog we have at a global scale is the H1N1 influenza pandemic of 1917- 1919 which killed between 17 and 50 million people worldwide. Handling the current COVID-19 crisis therefore requires a holistic approach taking into consideration an extremely complex system,I.e. human society as a whole
