This article presents a novel fractional-order proportional-integral controller for a hybrid power system combining solar energy and a reheated thermal generator. The controller aims to improve system stability and dynamic response. Simulation results show the fractional-order controller provides better disturbance rejection and tracking performance compared to a traditional integer-order controller.
