ABSTRACT
The concept is to use voice to control home equipment. There are numerous devices on the market that can
accomplish this. Making your own, on the other hand, is fantastic. The concept is to use voice to control home
equipment. There are numerous devices on the market that can accomplish this. Making your own, on the other
hand, is fantastic. Create a personal assistant to help you with your tasks. Your assistant is the only one who
requires voice commands. The Raspberry Pi is utilized in this project, which includes setting up an Adafruit
account, tying it to the IFTTT website, and integrating it to Google Assistant for voice commands. In this home
automation system, items such as a light bulb, a cooling fan, and a motor are employed, all of which can be
operated using Google Assistant via voice control. Here, we will install Google Assistant on the Raspberry Pi,
and the Raspberry Pi will be connected to a microphone that will accept all voice orders and manage the home
alliances automatically. The household appliances can be switched when the user gives a voice command to the
microphone.

I. INTRODUCTION
Home is where one wants to be after a long and exhausting day. Many people arrive home exhausted after a
hard day at work. Some folks are so fatigued that once they've fallen on their couch, sofa, or bed, they can't
move. So any device/technology that allows people to use their voice to turn on or off lights, play music, or do
other things with their smart phones will make their house more comfortable. Furthermore, it would be ideal if
all necessary tasks, such as warming the bath water and adjusting the room temperature, could be completed in
advance of their arrival at their destination by merely speaking a command. As a result, when people arrived
home, the room temperature and bath water had been adjusted to their tastes, allowing them to relax and feel
more at peace almost instantly. Human assistants, such as housekeepers, were once used by the wealthy to
maintain their houses. Even now, when technology has matured sufficiently, these new smart home devices are
only accessible to the wealthy, as their costs are extremely exorbitant. Not everyone, However , can afford to
hire a personal assistant or invest in smart home technologies. As a result, the desire for a low-cost, intelligent
assistant for everyday families is growing.
II. LITERATURE REVIEW
Because of its multiple benefits, Home Automation System is one of the themes that is gaining popularity.
Home automation is the process of remotely monitoring and controlling household appliances With the
Internet's and its applications' never ending growth, holds a lot of promise and opportunity. The project
revolved around the concept of home automation, which entails using smart devices to control and monitor
activities.
To begin, Home Automation will save time by automating daily tasks such as lighting, Fans, and other
household equipment. Users do not need to be concerned about whether the lights, geyser, or air conditioner
have been turned off while they are at work. Users can log in to our virtual home from anywhere on the planet.
Second, consumers may ensure that their properties are secure while they are away. There are systems that
constantly monitor the house and notify the owners if there is an event. The notice could be as simple as a
phone call, and it can be utilized to inform and act.
These devices can also be powered by batteries. So even if the power is turned off, there's no need to be
concerned. Third, users can turn on/off all lights in a room or the entire house instead of manually going into
each room to see if any light or fan are on or off.

III. METHODOLOGY
There are a variety of tools and techniques that can be used to complete the project, including both hardware
and software-based tools and techniques. Now comes the crucial part of the process: identifying those tools,
which we do based on our previous literature review. This not only aids in the identification of appropriate
procedures, but also provides a useful contrast and comparison approach to previous methods and the results
obtained. The flowchart above depicts the number of steps involved in our project. In essence, it is a
straightforward methodological format that we want to follow, which includes not only software development
but also real implementation with the project's hardware.

PROPOSED SYSTEM
Home automation and security based on Raspberry Pi voice recognition. There are two aspects to the project:
software and hardware. The hardware's input command is voice, which means you can control your home
appliances with your voice. A Raspberry Pi, Bluetooth module, Relay 1, Relay 2, Relay 3, Wi-Fi router, Relay
circuit board, 5v power supply, Fan, T.V, Bulb and Android smartphone are included. Primary programming
language is Python.

Final IMPLEMENTAION
Users can turn on/off all lights in a room or the entire house instead of manually going into each room.
Voice commands can be used to control home equipment. The module is connected to a smartphone through
Bluetooth. The relay is used to switch the load when someone says "LIGHT Off" or "LIGHT ON. The relay is
powered by the Raspberry Pi, which also serves as the system's main microcontroller. Moving on to the
software we utilize, the Voice controlled app's login is determined by the user's login Id and password by using
VNC viewer software. As a result, the system becomes more secure and controllable. As a result, we may
conclude that the system is functioning properly and according to plan. The system takes more than a minute to
calculate the exact result.

‘Press to speak button‘
This button connects our mobile app directly to Google, enabling voice recognition within the app. Because
we've chosen Google for voice recognition, pushing this button will activate the voice sensors via the mobile
app, and the message will be sent to the Google app.
VII. CONCLUSION
This project focuses on the most critical features that might be used to create a complete smart home
environment. The Raspberry Pi-based voice-controlled home automation sys tem is intended to make it easier
for elderly and disabled persons to use and operate electronic gadgets. This project provides a basic home
automation system that may be readily deployed and utilized . This system allows users to make decisions and
control household appliances via an android application, making life more convenient while also being re
motely accessible via portable devices such as Android phones.
