A PRESENTATION BY: VALERIA, HIRAM,

NITZIA & ALONDRA
Introduction
LET'S TALK ABOUT FOLKLORE!

"Teenage love triangle" is a love triangle of

3 teenagers created by Taylor Swift. On her
eighth studio album "Folklore", Swift
created a love story between 3 teenagers
Betty, James and Augustine. Songs "betty",
"cardigan" and "august" are written by their
perspectives.

looking back with hindsight on an
intense relationship from her youth.

YOU DREW STARS AROUND MY SCARS

II. august
PRESENTED BY: NITZIA

we can describe "August" as "the other woman." She

doesn't have a specific name, we can call her "Una".
She was the girl with whom James cheated on Betty
during the summer.

She was young and inexperienced, and if it wasn't

love, it was at least infatuation. She sings in
languid, late-summer imagery: "Your back beneath
the sun/Wishing I could write my name on it."

SO MUCH FOR SUMMER LOVE

III. betty (James perspective)
PRESENTED BY: VALERIA

The whole thing started after a school dance, where

James ditched Betty, then, after seeing her dance
with some dude, stormed out in a huff.
James was walking home, Una pulled up in a car
"like a figment of my worst intentions," and things
went from there.

THE ONLY THING I WANNA DO IS MAKE IT UP TO

YOU"
