Brexit Options….

We leave and face trade barriers across the board, leading to a mass exodus of manufacturing and
business and a collapse in the economy amid soaring inflation and a huge fall in house prices as
foreign buyers flee the market. The EU suffers a fall in its world status, but ultimately hangs
together as they see an example of what happens if you leave… Some say we were punished by the
EU, but what did we expect?

Loser: UK

We leave and initially prosper by forging new trade deals with countries outside the EU. EU falls
apart as other countries want some of the Brexit goodness. Stability in the region collapses as all
European members compete in a race to be the most competitive. Wages fall, environmental issues
are side-lined, huge corporates thrive on low tax sweeteners. Public services vanish.

Loser: All of Europe including UK.

We leave, but forge a deal with the EU that allows us to maintain our free trade arrangement in
return for accepting EU law and free movement of EU immigrants. Nothing much changes for the
UK, apart from a further loss of sovereignty as we now no longer have any input in the running of
the EU that controls us.

Loser: UK

We leave and Scotland pushes for independence, with a promise from the EU that they can re-join
once independent. Northern Ireland follows shortly after, along with Gibraltar. The term UK is
dropped as it is now just England and Wales. This scenario probably applies to all of the above.

Loser: England and Wales

We leave and forge a new trade-deal with the USA, given our desperation for deals outside the EU,
they have the upper hand, leading to the NHS being bought wholesale by US medical organisations.

Loser: UK

We leave and compete heavily with the rest of the world to attract investment. Starting a worldwide
trade war, lowering corporate tax down across the globe and ultimately leading to the rise of the
mega corporations and the loss of any powers by government.

Loser: The entire world.

We leave and the economy dips. Migrants are blamed. In fact anyone who looks a little different is
blamed. Intolerance and hatred flares. Division leads to riots on the streets and the eventual fall of
civilisation.

Loser: Anyone below millionaire status.
