The interface with the user is done via two devices; one is a display of 2 digits located in each
print head, which indicates by code the status of the printer. The other device is an 8” LCD touch screen
display.
Each print head is connected to the controller using a 3 meters umbilical. The cable has one
USB male connector and one connector 5-pins male connector on each edge. The connector with 5-pins
is for the power cord (5v-12v-24v) and the USB connector is for the data. Those connectors are located
in the rear side of the controller and in the bottom plate of the print head main unit.

• Place in front of the photocell to encode product

• The product should be placed 2 cm from the photocell

• Push the button of the top on photocell

• Press the button until the lights disappear of the photocell

• When the lights appear again photocell is calibrated

7. SETTING THE PRINTER LEVEL AND HEAD ALIGNAMENT

Bad leveling of the equipment can cause serious problems in the printing process.

If the APLINK unit is higher at the rear than the front, it could cause continuous dripping of ink through
the print head even when is not powered on.
If the APLINK is higher at the front than the back, it may cause messages not to be printed because ink
may not reach the print head

It is important to take the following details into account:

The maximum printing distance is 5 mm. The printing quality will be better if this distance is less than 5
mm.
The printing head has to be perfectly aligned with the object that you wish to print and the head has to
be perfectly parallel to the object to be printed.

64
APLINK MRX SERIES User’s Manual

The object to be printed has to be properly guided to avoid the following situation:

PARAMETERS FOR CONFIGURATION THE PRINTER

For the correct configuration of the equipment it is important to know some information regarding the
production line in which the equipment is going to be placed:

- The speed of the line. This can be measured with a tachometer.

- The printing direction. From right to left or vice versa.
- Facing up or facing down.
- Delay distance in millimeters from the photocell detecting a presence until you wish to
begin printing.

65

Adjust rotation print head.

To print in an angle position can be adjust the print head at 45 degrees. This adjustment gives versatility
for angle production lines.

Only adjust the print head in direction indicate in the drawing.

The possibility to win more height in your stand is replacing the printer in the other position of the
support.

• Remove the printer from the support.

• Place the printer as shown in the drawing.
• Install the printer in the support only with 2 screws.
• If you place the printer in this way, can win about 60 mm height

The other possibility is adjusting the foot on the stand.

In the case of the floor is irregular or you need a little more of height, you can adjust the height of the
foot.

1. Unscrew the one wing butterfly of the stand.
