SENIOR CHECKLIST
Grad Tracker Verification
Talk with your counselor to make sure you are in all required courses for graduation or
Jul-Aug have a plan to earn all of your credits.

Make sure you have passed the Civics exam.

Free/Reduced Lunch
Apply for free/reduced lunch if you believe you qualify. This could provide you with
Jul-Aug ACT/SAT and/or college application fee waivers.

If you are requesting a fee waiver, you will need to complete the Fee Waiver Form

Senior Portraits
The first step of your senior journey is to have your portrait taken for the yearbook.
The yearbook's deadline for senior pictures is September 6, 2023. In order to meet
this deadline, we have partnered with Southwest Portraits in Tempe, AZ to take your
yearbook photos.

There are two options:


July-Sept
OPTION 1:
Schedule an online appointment with Southwest Portraits to have your portrait taken
at their Tempe studio located at 5450 S Lakeshore Dr. Suite 108, Tempe, AZ 85283
before the September deadline. 480-222-1199
OPTION 2:
Take your senior yearbook photo on campus on senior picture day which takes place
on August 1st and 2nd, and the final date of September 6th in the auditorium lobby.

July-Mar
Online classes need to be completed by the end of April. You can sign up here.

ACT and/or SAT


Take or retake your ACT and/or SAT if it is needed for college entrance, merit
scholarships, or other outside scholarships. Please visit the website for your schools
of interest to see if they are requiring the ACT or SAT for 2024.

Aug-Sept Make sure that you meet all of the requirements for the schools you’d like to apply to
and double-check deadlines.

NCAA Athletes
Aug-Sept Potential NCAA athletes, make sure you talk to your counselor to ensure you are
meeting the NCAA eligibility requirements.

Get started on admissions essays. Give your essays to others for feedback

Letter of Recommendation
Please fill out the following form located here when requesting a letter from a teacher

or a counselor. Give to that individual at least 2 weeks before you need your letter.

College Early-Decision
Sept-Oct If you're applying early-decision most deadlines are between October 1st and
November 1st.

Yearbook Information
Yearbooks must be ordered through the Herff Jones website. Yearbooks may be
pre-ordered at a reduced price of $70 until September 30.

The school code for the Herff Jones order center is 16196.

July 1 - September 30 - $70
October 1 - January 2 - $75
January 3 - March 10 - $80
*Yearbook total orders are placed at the plant after January 20. Books are not guaranteed after that date. To guarantee
a book, it is recommended that you pre-order a book.

Senior Celebration and Declaration Day
Fun event to announce and celebrate your post-secondary plans.

Graduation May 23rd


May Required rehearsal that morning. Students must have met all graduation requirements
to walk at the ceremony.
