Rules, Standards and Codes of Professional Conduct

RULES, STANDARDS AND CODES OF PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT

As an associate (full time, part-time or contracted) of GRS, I pledge to uphold professional principles in the
fulfillment of my responsibilities. In promoting the high standard of ethical conducts, I shall:

a) Act professionally and ethically and impartially.


b) Strive to increase the competence and prestige of my profession.
c) Assist those in my employment or under my supervision in developing their management, professional, and
auditing skills.
d) Commit to comply with applicable policies and implement processes as defined by GRS.
e) Not represent conflicting or competing interests e.g. not to conduct auditing and certification activities together
for the same client.
f) Disclose to GRS any relationships I might have with an organisation before getting assigned any assessment function for
that organisation.
g) Not to discuss or disclose or transmit any information relating to an audit or client unless authorised in writing
by the client and GRS, or required by laws or other authorised entities.
h) Not to accept any inducement, commission, gift or any other benefit from any client organisation, their
employees, or any interested parties, and not knowingly allow any colleagues to do so.
i) Be free from any commercial, financial, and other pressure, which might influence results of the certification
process; and not disclose my financial problems to anyone in the process, if any.
j) Not misrepresent own or any other individual’s qualification, competence, or experience; and not undertake an
auditing work beyond my qualification and competence.
k) Possess the competence, character, diligence, experience, honesty, integrity, and judgement to perform
properly the duties as an Auditor/Trainer or Employee or Contractor, or as any other member of GRS.
l) Possess the educational and technical qualifications, knowledge, and skills relevant to my duties and
responsibilities as an Auditor/Trainer or Employee or Contractor, or as any other member of GRS.
m) Not 'disqualified' under the ASIC Act, being a person who has been disqualified by the Federal Court of Australia
from being or acting as an Auditor or Employee or Contractor, or as any other member of GRS.
n) No conflict in performing the duties, that might create a material risk that I will fail to perform properly the
duties as an Auditor/Trainer or Employee or Contractor, or as any other member of GRS.

interpreted based on their works related to the GRS certification process.
