Prior to handover the service to subscriber, this document provides technical operating parameters to guide the installers to activate the fiber drop ina logical manner. Scope The scope of this document covers the conformance tests and measurements for GPON technology to meet the minimum, optical levels measured at subscriber's terminal. t also includes the methods of measurements and documentations to maintain the standard engineering practices of the company. Parameters ‘A. Optical transmission ‘a. The amount of optical levels at 1490nm and measured at subscriber's end (ONU/ONT) should be within -4d8m to -23d8m regardless of classes of the laser used. 'b. The amount of optical levels at 1310nm and measured at the OLT's end should be within -4 dBm to -23 dBm regardless of classes of the laser used, B. IPMeasurement ‘a. Latency from subscriber's terminal to IP destination address 1.1.1.1 should be less than 20ms. b. Latency from subscriber's terminal to IP destination address 8.8.8.8 should be less than 30ms. ‘Methods of Measurements ‘2. The optical transmission should be measured using PON Meter capable to measure 1550nm, 1490nm, and 1310 meters, Ping test with destination IP addresses: 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8 should be conducted at subscriber's premise using a laptop to test the latency of the IP connection.
