 Each semester will have 15 weeks of study duration having 13 lab sessions (one lab session per
week) along with one week for project submission and last week for final lab performance.
 13 lab session are designed in such a manner to entertain 12 regular labs along with an open
ended lab.
 At the end of each semester (last week) students will be assessed by final lab performance which
will contribute 30% towards total lab grading.
 Students are required to submit complete lab report within 7 days after performance day of
each lab to be graded. Marks of weekly lab reports will have a weightage of 20% in total lab
grading.
 Students will submit a semester project in a group of maximum four as assigned for project
submission (second last week) along with a project report. The project will contribute 20%
towards their final lab grading.
 Students will be given assignments and/or quizzes which will contribute 10% towards their final
lab grading.
 Each week, students will be assessed on their performance in lab. The cumulative sum of weekly
lab performance will account for 20% of total lab grading.

The rubrics to assess students for each category of grading policy are as follows:

Important Instructions:
* It is a reference document for your understanding. This document has been highlighted only
for your own understanding. Please remove highlighter on contents along with these instructions
before sharing it with students.

The following are the color codes:

1. Stringent Rubric Criteria's: (Essential rubrics criteria have to be evaluated.)

2. Flexible Rubric Criteria's: (Optional rubrics criteria - maybe evaluated depending on instructor's
choice.)

Description of each criteria of rubric is thoughtfully drafted and mapped to corresponding

psychomotor and/or affective domain based on its description for your convenience and
understanding. If you could notice, some criteria's description has multiple points and is mapped to
multiple psychomotor and/or affective domain due to overlapping. You may drop or add any based
on criteria descriptions and in depth analysis of psychomotor and affective domains.

Please note: All lab engineers/instructors have full privileges to remove any flexible rubric criteria
or add a new one, which is related to their lab needs in consultation with theory teacher. In case of
any change in stringent rubric criteria, prior formal permission should be obtained from President
Course Development & Quality Assurance (Dr. Salman Zaffar).
