GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This course provides the basics of strength of materials as applied to different shapes of structural or machine
components. Students will understand how the structural or machine components respond to applied forces.
They will perform basic strength calculations in the analysis and design of structural or machine
components for torsion, bending, tension, compression, shear, and fatigue.
