Common goals for advanced designs are high reliably and competiove onomics while meeting stingent saety requirements, Passive safely systems based on natural circulation are key to several evolutionary water-cooled esigns and many innovative water-cooled reactor designs, Some designs also ullize natural ‘eultion to move core heal during normal operation, ‘Tho objective of the Course isto provide patipants with instruction on: + natural circulation during reactor star-up and operation, methods of analyses and governing ‘2quations, passive systom itiaton and operation, flow sab, scaling laws for expormonts + phenomena that inuence natural ercuation (eg.
