Mock Marking

Guidelines
As per CIMA Post Exam Kits
General Marking Guidelines

• Marking schemes should be used positively with candidates being rewarded for
what they have demonstrated and not penalized for omissions.
• All marks in the scheme are designed to be awarded and full marks should be given
according to the level descriptors.
• Valid approaches not in the marking scheme should be rewarded appropriately.
Students need not make all the exact points made in the marking scheme to be
awarded high marks.
• An answer that does not address the requirements of the task should be awarded
