Dear colleagues,

We started with the employment of Bulgarian seafarers more than 10 years ago

Success
This way of working has proven to be a great success: we have almost 85 permanently employed
Bulgarian crewmembers! Bulgarian seafarers are well appreciated professionals who are a real
part of the big 'One Deme, One Team'family.

Continuous employment
The set-up has provided the stability of continuous employment and has proven to be the base
of a solid long-term working relationship, Time and time again we have proven that we take care
of our crew - even though vessels change destination, location and are sometimes put on idle for
some time (standby wages),

Development program
Finally, our development program is extensive, and most of our Bulgarian seafarers have already
attended one (or several) of these Deme specialized trainings, Continuous development is key in
remaining relevant and skilled in this changing environment. We greatly support training in all its
aspects and would like to call upon all of you to keep on attending our (safety) trainings, Please
register through People@Deme.

Reflection
As part of our ongoing goal to improve, we regularly take the time for reflection and evaluation.
As a result of the most recent exercise, we have decided to an important upgrade of wages.

As a result of our benchmarking exercise, we have agreed to important rank dependent
pay-rises. These considerable wage upgrades will be implemented as of 1/7l2023.More
details will be communicated in the upcoming weeks.

Additionally, it has been decided that the previously agreed travel allowance of 3O EUR
will be upgraded to 50 EUR.

Future
Moreover, we are investigating the possibility to upgrade our social security
contributions through a private or governmental system. More news will follow on that
matter.

Regular (de) Briefings with Deme Crewing team

On a regular basis - please already save the date in your agenda:12-1616/2023 - (de) briefing
sessions with Deme (Assistant) Crew Managers are taking place in Bulgaria. Crew on leave are
requested to pass by Starnav office on a regular basis for debriefing.

During Deme visits everybody available is requested to have a one-on-one talk with a Starnav and
Deme representative to discuss all possible topics.
