English Speaking Test - Intermediate I
English Speaking Test - Intermediate I
Objective: Speaking test assesses students’ ability to talk about a topic, develop their ideas
about a topic, and relevant vocabulary and grammar.
Time: 3 – 4 minutes
Instruction:
1. The tutor arranges the schedule of the speaking test prior to 3 days following the test
day.
2. The speaking test is a real life face to face test, with the student answering questions,
giving opinions and ideas to the tutor.
3. The tutor gives a task card to the student and the student has to speak about the subject
without interruption for between 2 – 3 minutes.
4. Before the student talks, the student has 1 minute to think about what they are going to
say and they can make notes if they wish, and the tutor provide some paper and a pencil
to make notes.

4. Describe a party
Where is it?
How did you go there?
What did you do there?
Explain why you found it so interesting.
How is it played?
What can you learn from the game?

Talk about any interesting things happening during your holidays.
Where it is located?
How you heard about the place?
What kind of music you can hear?
Say what kind of people usually go there?
