NARRATIVE:
This project aimed to feed more than two
dozen kids from Purok 3, Poblacion, in our
small community. There, we are expected
to fill the kids' stomachs with homemade
champorado or chocolate stew prepared by
my fellow scouts. I used to fantasize about
doing things like this when I was younger
than I am now (2022, 16 years old). Since I
now had the possibility to succeed in real
life, I seized the opportunity and, with the help of my fellow scouts, we made it happen.
Since the location of this project was relatively close to our school, we have daily
contact with the children, making this simple snack a treat for them to regain
their energy. The chocolate stew gives
the kids a boost of energy so they can
have another round of fun. Wherefore,
as a resident youth/Scout to the
neighborhood, I proposed the project
to our purok president, district
councilor, and barangay captain that in
resolving the issue that there was a
need for us scouts to run a feeding
program with my fellow Scouts and Scouters to lead as my co-workers, where, 42
CFES’ Batch Mabalasik Scouts together with the 16 CFES' from Boniao, 2 CFES from
SJNHS and 8 CFES’ from DNHS. With the assistance of Mrs. Zannyper C. Saladaga,
WBH, Mrs. Dailor Cabase, ES Gynn Sarabia, ES Lee Adrian Caylan, ES Dexter Egos, ES
Earl Justine Navarro, ES Rafael Jay A. Aringa. As a result, the expected outcome, was to
successfully feed all of the kids that were present of our small community – the purok.
The beneficiaries of this project are the youngsters for I envisioned that this
project was a head start that we, residents, must give or share blessings in respect to
the Almighty for we are just mere renters to his room of comfort and a way for good
deeds.
The implementation of the said project happened on January 22, 2023 at
approximately 1600H.
In order to solidify the purpose of this project, we were assisted and supported
by our beloved barangay captain and officials all throughout our journey.
