ABSTRACT
Personal hygiene external genitalia is an important thing for adolescents
that must be given special attention. The purpose of this study was to determine the
difference in the effectiveness of health promotion between the e-Health method
and the lecture method, which of the two methods is more effective for increasing
knowledge and changing attitudes of female students about personal hygiene
external genitalia.
The research design used a quasy experimental research method with a pre-test-
post-test group design. The total sample is 120 people taken by purposive sampling
The results of the Wilcoxon test with the e-Health method obtained a p-value of
0.000 for knowledge and a p-value of 0.077 for attitude. It can be concluded that
there is a significant difference in knowledge and there is no significant difference
in attitude. The results of the Wilcoxon test with the lecture method obtained a p-
value of 0.000 for knowledge and attitudes. It can also be concluded that there are
significant differences in the lecture method both knowledge and attitude. The
results of the Mann Whitney test obtained a p-value of 0.641 for knowledge and a
p-value of 0.000 for attitude means that it is more significant in attitude.
The results of the analysis of the two methods, it can be concluded that both
methods are equally effective for increasing knowledge and the lecture method is
more effective for changing attitudes respondents about external genitalia personal
hygiene.
