In the particular ffield of English language teaching, several studies ( vvvvv)

researchers have delved into the use of drama techniques in English language instruction
with a focus on boosting oral proficiency. Some of these investigations highlight the
potential advantages and effectiveness of incorporating drama-oriented activities within the
framework of language learning. To start, forr instance, Smith's 2017 research ventured into
the impact of drama-influenced activities on learners' speaking prowess. This study
scrutinized the effect of various drama techniques like role-playing, improvisations, and
pre-scripted dialogues on the students' ability to express themselves confidently and
fluently in English. The researcher's conclusions underscored the value of weaving drama
skills into language instruction, establishing that it can markedly enhance students' spoken
English proficiency. This is achieved by honing their oral communication skills, sparking
increased engagement, and nurturing a more positive learning environment. Further, Brown
and al., ( 2019) dove into the potency of role-play exercises in refining learners'
communication capabilities. xxxxxxxxxxxx (amplia) These Such investigations underscore
the need for innovative teaching methodologies and the potential role of drama in fulfilling
this requirement.

While previous studies have indeed offered valuable insights, there are certain areas that
still need attention. For instance, some studies ( xxxxxxxxx )may have been
constrained by limitations such as having too few participants or lacking diversity among
the participants. This can hinder the applicability of their findings to a broader audience.

understand how drama skills specifically affect different proficiency levels or age groups in
learners IN THE FOREIGN LANGUAGE CLASS FOR EXAMPLE. It's clear that our
understanding can benefit from further research in these areas (CONTEXTS)

PROBLEMA. TRATA DE NO SER WORDY, E IR AL PUNTO. AGREGUE
ALGUNAS ORACIONES PERO CREO QUE SE PODRÍA RESUMIR MÁS.
The problem that this study wants to address is the lack of students’ oral production in
undergraduate programs at Corposucre in Sincelejo- Sucre, who attend a private University.
THESE students decide to study a program and need to ACHIEVE get a level B2 to
graduate from Corposucre. However, AS A LANGUAGE TEACHER IN THESE
ENGLISH COURSES I HAVE IDENTIFIED THAT students’ ORAL PRODUCTION IS
RATHER LOW IN THE LANGUAGE EVEN THOUGH THEY USUALLY TRY to
participate IN oral activities. mY OBSERVATION HAVE IDENTIFIED THAT they can
ONLY SAY SIMPLE BASIC SENTENCES WHEN PARTICIPATION IN oral taskS. ON
THE OTHER HAND, AND BY LISTENING TO THEM, THEY HAVE SUGGESTED
THAT THEY COME FROM SCHOOLS WHERE English WAS NOT USUALLY
TAUGHT AND THEREFORE THERE WAS NO emphasis in oral production.
fURTHERMORE, they HAVE expressD that they cannot feel secure at the moment OF
speakING IN English in the classroom AND SAY :” no se hablar español ahora inglés”. iN
OTHER WORDS, STUDENTS DO NOT FEEL comfortable DOING ORAL TASKS IN
CLASS AND FRUSTRATION IS USUALLY PRESENT SINCE THEY FEEL THEY
CAN NOT communicate in English..
Thus, the research problem under consideration here centers on how oral
production significantly contributes to the art of acting and how it can be more
effectively utilized to enhance performance.
Despite the evident emphasis on physicality, costumes, or visual elements in theater and
film, oral production - the use of voice, language, and speech - plays a paramount role in
shaping an actor's performance. Unfortunately, this aspect often remains underappreciated
and understudied.
