1 Elasticity and adaptability: These attributes help the sock to fit each foot size properly, without wrinkles that could
cause blisters. The elasticity is provided by the elasthane yarn. The better the elasthane yarn, the more durable
and consistent the elasticity will be during the sock life. Lycra® is the best elastic yarn on the market. Lorpen uses
up to 10% Lycra in the structure of the sock (“Lycra®+” Technology), unbeaten in the world market. This is why our
product adapts so well to the foot even after years of use and multiple washings.
2 The toe seam: There is no sock without toe seam. A cheap sock will have a seam with relief on the inside of top of
the toe area. A mediocre sock will have it with relief but on the outside. A Lorpen technical sock incorporates a no
relief seam that joins one stitch flat with another interlocking stitch without creating a ridge or any relief, this is
why we call it stitch by stitch (SBS Toe Seam).
3 Multiple Density: Every sport activity demands different type of sock thickness and density design. Cushioned
areas in pressure points, open mesh in cooling areas, etc. Lorpen technical socks incorporate in each range their
own specific density engineering that we call MDK= Multiple Density Knit.
4 Resistance and durability: The outer yarn is critical to give durability and resistance to the technical sock. In
Lorpen we use high tenacity nylon as reinforcement yarn, covering the full sock in the Extreme collections, and
reinforcing specific friction areas in the rest of technical ranges so that we assure a long life to our socks. This is
why they are “guaranteed for life”.

l QUALITÉ MAXIMALE DES FINITIONS
Pour savoir si une chaussette technique, quels que soient les fils incorporés,
est conçue avec un haut ou un bas niveau, il faut analyser 4 aspects :
1 L’élasticité ou l’adaptabilité : elle permet à la chaussette de s’adapter aux différentes tailles de pieds, sans plis ris-

10% de Lycra® dans toute la structure de ses chaussettes (“Lycra®+” Technology), une quantité qu’aucun fabricant
mondial n’a pu améliorer. C’est la raison pour laquelle les chaussettes s’adaptent toujours à nos pieds après plu-
sieurs années et de nombreux lavages.

Une chaussette bon marché inclut une couture linéaire avec un relief à l’intérieur de la partie supérieure de la
pointe. Un modèle médiocre incorpore une couture avec un relief dans la même zone sur la partie extérieure.
Alors qu’une chaussette technique Lorpen présente une couture sans relief qui relie chaque point à l’autre sans
superpositions. Cette technique est dénommée point par point (SBS Toe Seam).
3 Différentes densités : une chaussette technique possède différentes densités techniques de tissu en fonction du

4 Résistance et durabilité : le fil extérieur, disposé sur toute la chaussette dans le cas des activités extrêmes, ou
bien dans les zones de friction signalées, doit présenter une grande résistance (Nylon ou supérieur). Les gammes
extrêmes de Lorpen incorporent du Nylon sur toute la surface extérieure et les gammes intermédiaires l’incluent
