The main objective of the
National Bureau of
Investigation is the
establishment and
maintenance of a modern,
effective and efficient
investigative service and
research agency for the
purpose of implementing fully
principal functions provided
under Republic Act 157, as
amended.
RECRUIRMENT AND
SELECTION
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Must be a citizen of the Philippines, of good moral character
and with excellent physical and mental condition;

2. A member of the Philippine Bar, OR a holder of a


baccalaureate degree who passed the necessary government
Licensure Examination relevant to the Investigative functions
of the NBI;

3. No pending criminal, civil or administrative charge and never


convicted of any crime;

4. Between 25 to 35 years old;

5. At least 5’5” in height for male and 5’3” for female;


QUALIFICATIONS
6. With General Weighted Average (GWA) of 85% in the
Transcript of Records (TOR);

7. Vision with normal range;

8. No tattoo marks or pierced ears;

9. Must successfully passed the competitive mental and


physical examination required by NBI; and

10. Willing to be assigned anywhere in the Philippines.

Attrition is the departure of employees from the
organization for any reason (voluntary or involuntary),
including resignation, termination, death or retirement.

THE COMPULSORY RETIREMENT AGE IN THE PHILIPPINES IS 56 YEARS OLD, THEY CAN ALSO CURRENTLY HAVE THE OPTION TO TAKE EARLY
RETIREMENT.THE AVERAGE MONTHLY PENSION OF A RETIRED MILITARY UNIFORMED PERSONNEL IS AROUND P40,000 A MONTH, WHICH IS 8.8 TIMES
MORE THAN AN AVERAGE PENSIONER OF THE SOCIAL SECURITY SYSTEM (SSS) IS RECEIVING. IT IS ALSO 2.9 TIMES HIGHER THAN THE AVERAGE
PENSION UNDER THE GOVERNMENT SERVICE INSURANCE SYSTEM (GSIS). MILITARY AND UNIFORMED PERSONNEL WILL RECEIVE THEIR PENSION
STARTING AT 57 YEARS OLD, NOT AUTOMATICALLY AFTER 20 YEARS OF SERVICE.
Mandatory contributions will be required for active personnel and new entrance similar
to the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) pensioners.

Retirement Benefits.
Upon attaining sixty (60) years of age with at least
fifteen (15) years of continuous government service, or
upon accumulation of thirty (30) years of satisfactory
continuous service, whichever is earlier, an NBI
personnel shall be compulsorily retired and shall be
entitled to receive benefits provided by law.

Monetary incentives/special allowances shall, for


retirement purposes, be an integral part of a retiree's basic
salary.
