enrollment of 81 students and was moved to Macalister road on the next year. On 1920, Form 4

Report
Teacher C graduated from University of Science Malaysia in Pure Physics and went to
become a temporary teacher for 1 year. This experience had enlighten him to continue his
study in Postgraduates Teaching Course (KPLI) and graduated on 2004. He started his career of
teaching from 3rd of January 2005 at SMJK Chung Ling after being appointed until now. Started
from 2019, he was adjust to fully teaches Form 6 physics class.

Teacher C did stated that he will prepare every lesson one week before and write into
the lesson plan template given by Ministry of Education one day before the class. This is
because there’s always possible to happen some issue that might delay the class or speed up
the progress. Hence, he has to be always prepared to adjust himself to fit in the each class
progress.

The main teaching strategies the teacher used is Inquiry-Based learning by using 5E

learning model. His class always starts with a short revision on previous lesson or a recalling
question so that students can apply what have they learned in today’s lesson. Then, questions
or situations will be proposed to students and started the discussion between themselves or
with teacher to answer it. Teacher will act as a guider who only corrects students’ opinion if
there is misconception. Videos or animation will be used by teacher during this session and
students might be provided with stimulation depending on the topic. All the materials used will
be prepared earlier before the class and tested the availability. To assess students
understanding, Teacher L will uses some exercise or questions and students have to try out
immediately. There’s one major issue on this assessment is that the students will answer in chat
box and the chat box is accessible by all. Hence, there’s a probability that only some students
will try the question themselves, while others can just wait until few answer to be given out and
copy the answer. Every time after all the students answered, he will show out the correct
answer with detailed explanation and calculation (if needed).

Teacher L interact with students by asking questions and some friendly chit chat. He will
do some friendly talking with the students with recent news to attract their attention back to
the lesson as the lesson is very lengthy. For example, he discuss about Lee Zi Jia’s performance
during the Olympic and some of the students are willing to discuss with him. For asking
questions, he always give sufficient time for students to answer and if the student requires
more than the estimated time, he will reach out to the student and help him to solve the
problem.

In conclusion, the lesson is consider partially successful as the lesson is well prepared
and students are interested to participate in. One major issue is that the school had fixed every
lesson to be 3 hours continuously which is very tiring to the students. Hence, I can see Teacher
L did put in effort trying to make his lesson as attracting as possible to grab the students’
attention.

Teacher L is using Google Form for formative assessment.

Full calculation will be shown after the students provide the answer

Teacher will discuss with students how to answer the questions.

H. Engaging Students in Teacher has a clear lesson plan for students. Lesson is Proficient

J. Demonstrating Teacher actively involve students in group discussion. Distinguished
Responsiveness Teacher will kept on asking “Any questions?” to ensure
every student is following the lesson. Teacher also
provide various online material for students to study
with.

Report
Teacher C is a senior teacher with more than 20 years of teaching experience. She will
be handling Form 4 and 5 Physics classes and she is so experienced that she clearly understand
which concept will be easily misunderstood by students.

For her lesson plan, she uses the provided lesson plan or so called “buku rekod” to list
down what will be conducted on every classes. She uses 5E model to prepare her lesson as well,
as she said Physics is more interesting during discovering but not memorizing.

At the beginning of the class, she starts with a small recap of previous topic and then
put in some real life example or situation to start the topic. The material used during the lesson
are mostly PowerPoint and Paint as shown below. The lesson will mainly conducted by teacher
but students are given sufficient time and space for discussion as she will bring in some advance
situation and let the students try to explain it. Questions will not only being asked by teacher
but students too. Teacher C is very acceptive to different kinds of questions and willing to clear
their doubts.

Before the end of the class, Teacher C will held a small quiz to assess the student’s
understanding of the lesson. Extra exercise will be given after the class to ensure students has
enough revision after the class.

In overall, the class is consider successful as the lesson is complete from the start to the
end. Also, I can see the passion of the students to involve themselves in the lesson. One major
issue I had spotted is that Teacher C has a fast talking speed and sometimes students will miss
something due to the unstable of their internet connection. Hence, they have to ask teacher to
repeat again what had been taught.
Teacher starts the class with recap of previous lesson.

Teacher uses real life situation to start a new topic.

The PowerPoint is not too wordy.

Teacher provide a situation where students will have to brainstorm and relate with what they
had learned.

A Day in the Life of a School Administrator

Everyday will be filled with various works and will be very busy. He had to settle all the work
related to administer and be ready to any emergencies that might happen. For example, if
there’s one part of the corridor roof felt off, he had to be at there immediately and report back
to School Principal and also wrap things up. Another time consuming work is that he will have
to fulfill the demands of Ministry of Education in terms of paper work and update information.

Other Interesting Observation

1. I get to see how busy is a school administrator will be as that day when I went to met
him for some documents, he is never free to really sit down and ask or answer questions
