GUIDELINES IN THE ADMINISTRATION OF DOTSE

1. DOTSE administration shall be on August 15-16, 2022 to start at 8:00 in the


morning.
2. The DOTSE shall be simultaneously administered to all incoming Grades 2 and
3 learners for school year 2022 – 2023 in all schools of the district.
3. School Heads of the respective school shall serve as Supervising Examiner,
Public Schools District Supervisors/In – Charge of the Districts as Chief
Examiner and Education Program Supervisors as monitors.
4. The test materials shall be given to the Room Examiners by the school head of
the school on the day before the test starts.
5. Mock DOTSE administration will be conducted by the respective school heads
using a parallel material day/s before the DOTSE schedule.
6. The question shall be read thrice by the examiner. The pupils will give the
answer as told. On the first reading, the pupil will listen. On the second
reading, the pupil will write and for the third reading, the pupils will check the
correctness of the written sentence.
7. The School Heads as supervising examiners shall responsible managed the
checking, computation and recording of results following the Rubric Scoring
Guide in Rating. The Rom Examiners are tasked to do the checking,
computation and recording of the class results before it will be recorded in the
school/district summary form. The Class/School Mean/PL should be
accurately computed and rounded off to the nearest hundredths.
8. The Public Schools District Supervisors/In – Charge of the Districts should
likewise check the completeness and accuracy of the computation of results to
ensure that all pupils in every grade level were fairly assessed.
9. Education Program Supervisors shall monitor the efficiency of the
administration of DOTSE.

CHECKING OF TEST PAPERS AND RECORDING OF TEST RESULTS


1. Correctly spelled words shall be counted for the score in sentences. This
includes the articles.
Rubric Scoring Guide in Rating Manuscript (Grade 2) and Manuscript/Cursive
(Grade 3) Handwriting are as follows:
 Correct letter formation
 Letters of correct height and small letters evenly written
 Letters set evenly on the baseline
 Direction of writing may be vertical or slightly slanting towards the right
 Clear, clean and legible penmanship

1 – four criteria were not followed
2. There shall be 2 sets of test materials in each grade level to be used randomly
in all schools in the district. The number of words and comprehension
questions in the test by grade level are consisting of the following:
