Genuine Temporary Entrant Statement

Introduction:
My name is Abdul Karim, DOB: 14 JUL 2002, Address: South Haldia, Haldia, Munshiganj,
Passport No: EB0097896, Marital Status: Unmarried. I am writing this SOP to the ‘Australian
High Commission” to describe about myself, my financial condition, the reasons behind I choose
Australia, the points that impressed me to choose ‘Australian Harbor International College’, my
future plan after completing this degree and some other key information that I would like to
share to the embassy. Since I want to pursue my higher education at ‘Australian Harbor
International College’ at my cherished courses which are ‘CHC 43015 Certificate IV in aging
support’ and ‘CHC 52015 Diploma of Community Service’.
Academic Background and Work Experience:
I have completed my ‘Secondary School Certificate’ from ‘MES Indian School, Doha, Qatar’in
2018, where I have successfully attained the following subjects: English Communications,
Mathematics, Arabic, Science and Social Studies and passed in all them with a scoring
percentage of 100 percent. Afterwards I have completed My Higher Secondary School
Certificate from the same institution in 2020 and successfully completed the following subjects:
English Core, Physics, Chemistry, Informatics Prac .(Old), Work Experience, Health and
Physical Education and General Studies.

I have attained the IELTS academic exam on 08/10/2022 and have achieved an overall score of
6.0, with the following scores Listening (6.5), Reading (5.0), Writing (6.0), Speaking (6.5). My
test report ‘22QA008470KARA001A’.
Circumstances in Home Country:
In Bangladesh, there are more than 50 universities that are approved by the regulatory body
‘UGC’, despite that, the quality of education has not raised as per as expectations in most of the
countries. For example, as per as my independent research, I have seen that most of the
institutions out here doesn’t have neither sufficient facilities to research and develop nor proper
environment to study. Also, most of the institutions doesn’t even offer vocational courses hence,
students are being deprived from a complete dimension of education. These are one of the few
reasons, which have influenced me to decide not to study at Bangladesh for my higher studies.
Why not other countries:
As soon as me and my parent decided to pursue my higher studies from abroad, we all started
looking for good options around the world including United States of America, Canada and the
United Kingdom. But like, every rose there is always a thorn alongside.
I have found out that in USA the foreign students are not welcomed in the society. Year after
year, the annual crime rate has increased there and also this country is also more expensive
overall than Australia for studying and living. In fact, the entry requirements are also very strict
since students needs to have SAT, GMAT, GRE etc which are very time consuming to achieve.
In Canada, the country has extreme cold weather which will be very tough for me to adjust. The
average temperature is almost -20 degrees and
In terms of the UK, the overall academic infrastructure is unstable since several colleges has
already been blacklisted because of not having supporting policies for international students like
TPS protecting international student’s tuition fees. And also it is a very expensive country in
terms of living since 1 pound GBP is equivalent to almost 140 BDT today.
In terms of Europe and other countries, the language barrier can affect my daily life very much.
Circumstances in Australia: Ties to Australia:
As I have paid my tuition fees for these courses: ‘CHC 43015 Certificate IV in aging support’
and ‘CHC 52015 Diploma of Community Service’ my college has issued me COE’s February
2023 intake and I would like to study this courses in AHIC for the duration of these courses.
Why Australia:
From my very childhood, Australia has always fascinated me as a very welcoming country.
Starting from the scenic landscape across the country, diverse wild life, well structured cities and
welcoming peoples all have been the reason that I have made my mind to choose Australia for
my dream place to study. Australia is very well diversified and annual crime rate is lower than
most other counties in the world. Australia is also regarded as one of the most popular
destinations for international students ranked at 3 rd with an overall satisfaction rate of 83 percent.
Since, English is the primary language around the country, the communication is easier in
Australia as well. The cost of living is also very much standard and affordable considering the
quality of life there. Australia has more than 1100 institutions for education with a total of almost
22000 courses offered. The Australian institution have issued different policies that have been
proving beneficial for international students. For example: TPS as known as Tuition Protection
Services is provided by the government of Australia, which aims to assist international students
whose education providers are unable to fully deliver their studies. The TPS ensures that
international students are able to get either: complete their studies with another course or
education provider or receive a refund of their unspent tuition fees. The Australian institutions
offer research based education that goes alongside with the practical need of the future job field,
which completely different from the mostly bookish education that are provided in my country.
The quality of education that Australia delivers will help me to stand among the other bookish
graduates in my country after completing this education and returning to my country and will
certainly provide me higher chances to get a very good job in my country.
Why Sydney:
hSydney, located at New South Wales region is one of the most recognizable cities around the
modern world. Not only that, it has also been well recognized by the global students around the
world since the number of International students at NSW has exceeded more than 304,717 by

by the QS ranking 2023.Also the majority of students studying there said that, they do
recommend Sydney for a studying places and number is more than 88 percent. The
transportation system is also very well organized and time efficient throughout the city. Sydney
is also known as Industrial Hub and it will be helpful for the international student to get
internships and other job placements. The city is also ranked at 2 nd place for the friendliest cities
among the world according to Economic Intelligence Unit (EIU). The place is also very
favorable for global students since it has hot summers and mild winter seasons. Sydney is also a
very diversified place since according to a report of 2018, almost 54 percent of the people living

overseas student as well. Some of the most recognizable tourist places at the city are the Sydney

Course Overview:
Why VET:
For my higher studies, I have chosen Vocational Education and Training Courses since I have
found that this courses are very program and course centric that occupies with practical need.
The courses are very much demanding courses that the industries require for the labor market.
Not only that the course instructors are some of the most recognizable industry experts. These
courses have frequent intakes and the duration are from 6 months to 2 years. Rather than
traditional approach and booking knowledge rendering, these courses are more skilled based that
enhance the competencies of an aspirant. Students can use these real life courses to enhance their
entrepreneurial skills that will build a good foundation for his/her upcoming career. The courses
are built with less challenging modules that will help the international students to adopt to the
Australian education and also these are courses are also less expensive as well.
Why Particular Course?
To pursue my higher education in Australia, I have decided to complete ‘CHC 43015 Certificate
IV in aging support’ and ‘CHC 52015 Diploma of Community Service’ courses at AHIC. From
my childhood, I have seen a deprivation of proper care service in my native country Bangladesh.
Here, there are insufficient amount of people who are properly skilled and experienced enough to
provide care to the society and senior citizens in the country. The lacking of this sector were
more exposed at the time of pandemic session where, hundreds of people have suffered and had
to go through a very difficult period because of the lack of expert peoples at this sector. That has
encouraged me to chose a career where I will be able to work for the people and society directly.
The ‘CHC 43015 Certificate IV in aging support’ course will give me the knowledge and skills
that are required to support the role of caregiver workers for the old people or community based
environments. This course also requires a minimum of 120 hours of work as detailed in the
assessment that are requires to get this degree. Some of the mentionable unit of competence are
Facilitate the interest and rights of clients, Coordinate service for old peoples, implement
inventions with older people at risk, facilitate the empowerment of older people and many more.
The ‘CHC 52015 Diploma of Community Service’ will educate me the roles of community
service, case management and managing the social service workers. This course will provide all
the necessary knowledge needed for specialized skills in community service, work autonomously
under broad direction from senior management. This degree also requires of minimum 100 hours
of work for the assessment required for competency. This program contains some of the core
units such as Develop and Implement Service Programs, Develop workplace communication
strategies, Manage and promote diversity, Manage legal and ethical compliance, Manage
workplace debriefing and support process etc.
My Research on Purposed Courses
While researching about alternative courses available in Australia www.studyinaustralia.com ,
www.myskills.gov.au I found ICT 50220 Diploma information Technology, SIT30616
Certificate III in Hospitality, 10904NAT Diploma of Social Media Marketing courses but I want
to study ‘CHC 43015 Certificate IV in aging support’ and ‘CHC 52015 Diploma of Community
Service’ courses because it is related to my previous subject in high school and I can have a
better job prospect in my native country after completing this degree.
Why AHIC
While looking at different possible options where I can pursue my higher studies, one of my
friends recommended me to join a seminar regarding Australian education where I got familiar to
the ‘AHIC’. Than I took sometime to do a research on the internet for this institution and I came
to know that AHIC is located centrally at Sydney CBD and it makes transportation easier. They
offer wide range of scholarships to the international scholarships. ANMAC and NMBA certified
for nursing courses. It has trainer from 17 countries. It is equipped with modern lab facilities. It
has reasonable courses fees and duration. It has a good ratio between the teachers and the
students. They provide excellent extra support for the international students. AHIC is based on
assignment based assessment and they have a very flexible timing schedule for classes. Student
can also choose from their morning, afternoon or night shift classes. Also, it is also mentionable
that, I have tried to communicate with the regional manager of AHIC and I have full support
from them. Considering all these, I have chosen AHIC to pursue my further studies.
Why AHIC and no other education provider
While doing my research on different college options, some of them are Stanley College, Curtin
College, Griffith College

Since Stanley college is situated in Perth and though Australia is one of the safest countries
around the world, Perth has a reputation for high crime rate and also the transportation is not as
fluent as Sydney.
And, when I applied at La Trobe college and Swinburne University of Technology, I got refused
from them with a message stating that, they don’t believe I am compatible enough to study at
their institutions, which I am totally disagree with it.

Planned Living Arrangements

I have decided that I will take the college accommodation provided by the institution which will
not only ensure me a sound environment to study but also, I will be able to mix with the vibrant
culture of international students around the world.

Values of Courses to Applied Future

The courses that I have chosen ‘CHC 43015 Certificate IV in aging support’ and ‘CHC 52015
Diploma of Community Service’ goes directly alongside to my previous education. At my grade
HSSC exam, I have had ‘Biology’ as one of my primary subjects and via studying the core
modules of these courses I came to know that, some of the core units of the courses are almost
similar to the subjects that I have previously studied.
After completion of my studies, I will be able to get an enhanced knowledge regarding all of the
fundamental basics that will not only increase my competencies, but also, the experience that I
will get to avail this degree will also make me more job ready in future. My goal has always been
to serve the community of the general mass of the nation. For that particular reason, I have an
ambition to work in the healthcare sector of Bangladesh. There are a lot of very reputed
companies in Bangladesh that are working CARE Bangladesh (Link:
https://www.carebangladesh.org/), Sajida Foundation (Link: https://sajidafoundation.org/) and
many more. Also, different international companies and association are investing in high volume
in the health sector of Bangladesh, for example UNDP, Red Cross and many more.
Economic Circumstances in Home Country
Mrs Taslima Akter will be sponsoring my studies, who is my mother. She is the owner of several
properties in Bangladesh and her annual income is yearly 122,799 AUD as per as a Huda
Hossain & Co. Chartered Accountants. My mother is the land owner and property owner of a
1000 sq feet shop which’s market value is 68222 AUD. She is also the owner of 2 roadside
properties which are valued at 383,043 AUD and 245,599 AUD consequently. It is also
mentionable that, my mother has been maintaining a bank statement of nearly 78000 AUD for
more than 1 year time.
My Motivation to Return
After completing my degree I will return to my native country since, from my childhood I have
always been strongly related to my parents. It is also mentionable that, I need to return to my
country and look after to the properties that my parents own in Bangladesh. In Bangladesh, I
have all of my grand parents and other friends who has always been a well-wisher for me and
after retuning to my country, I will try to make them feel proud of me via getting a respectable
job in my native country
