Application for an ITI Scholarship:

Letter of Intent.

The letter of intent is a letter from you to the ITI Leadership Development
Committee that summarizes the reasons why you believe you should receive an ITI
Scholarship and how you would benefit from the experience in the long term. This
includes your plans for the future and whether they include teaching in any form.
Please note this letter should be no longer than 2 pages.

Please format the above as a letter addressed to:

ITI Leadership Development Committee

and then upload this document as a single PDF to the scholarship application
profile.

Please answer all the following questions as fully as possible. The quality and
persuasiveness of the letter of intent can have a significant impact on an applicant's
chances.

Please make sure the following information is included in your letter of intent:

• How did you hear about the ITI and its Scholarship Program?
• What do you think of the ITI and its philosophy?
• What do you expect from an ITI Scholarship year?
• Why do you think that an ITI Scholarship is right for you? Please list what
would be the optimal breakdown of your activities (total 100%) for the ITI
Scholarship year:
• Clinical activity (%)
• Research activity (%)
• Receiving education (%)
• Being involved in providing education (%)
• What are your two preferred ITI Scholarship Centers? Why?
• Please list which ITI Scholarship Center(s) would not be an option if you
cannot be allocated to one of your preferred ITI Scholarship Centers.
• Describe your level of knowledge of the local language in the two ITI
Scholarship Centers selected.
• Please detail your practical experience in clinical implant dentistry.
• Please detail your practical experience in research.
• What career path do you want to follow? If you are awarded an ITI
Scholarship, how would you integrate the ITI mission into your work
afterwards?
